Standard jump-diffusion models assume independence between jumps and diffusion components. We develop a multi-type jump-diffusion model where jump occurrence and magnitude depend on contemporaneous diffusion movements. Unlike previous one-sided models that create arbitrage opportunities, our framework includes upward and downward jumps triggered by both large upward and large downward diffusion increments. We derive the explicit no-arbitrage condition linking the physical drift to model pa- rameters and market risk premia by constructing an Equivalent Martingale Measure using Girsanov’s theorem and a normalized Esscher transform. This condition provides a rigorous foundation for arbitrage-free pricing in models with diffusion-dependent jumps.

This paper evaluates employees’ knowledge, attitudes, practices, and workplace environment at North Refineries Company (Baiji). A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from September 10, 2024, to September 20, 2025, involving 480 employees (378 workers and 102 managers). Data were collected through face-to-face interviews and analysed using SPSS version 24. North Refineries Company (Baiji). workers scored 72.49 % on general knowledge and 96.83% on attitudes, but only 53.97% on safe behaviour. Division managers …

Postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) remain common complications following surgery, despite the availability of various prophylactic antiemetic agents. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of ondansetron and metoclopramide in preventing PONV in patients undergoing elective lower abdominal surgery under general anesthesia. In this double-blind, randomized controlled trial, 80 adult patients were equally allocated into two groups: one receiving 0.1 mg/kg of intravenous ondansetron and the other 0.2 mg/kg of intravenous metoclopramide at the end of surgery. Performance Analysis Of Fuzzy-Pid Control For Single-Phase Interior Permanent Magnet Motors, Ogholo Michael, Akinloye Benjamin, Enivweru Edewor

This study presents an advanced performance analysis of a fuzzy-PID controller for Single-Phase Interior Permanent Magnet (IPM) motors using MATLAB/Simulink simulations. The fuzzy-PID controller dynamically adjusts its gains in real time via fuzzy logic, enhancing speed regulation and disturbance rejection while addressing the motor’s inherent nonlinearities and saliency effects. Performance comparisons with a conventional fixed-gain PID controller reveal that the fuzzy-PID achieves a 42% faster rise time, 68% lower overshoot, and reduced steady-state error (<0.8 rpm vs. ∼5.2 rpm for PID). Under ramp and sinusoidal inputs, the fuzzy-PID maintains lower tracking errors (∼7.5 rpm vs. ∼26 rpm for PID) and minimal phase lag (7° vs. 22° for PID). Robustness tests demonstrate superior disturbance rejection and faster recovery from load variations. The results confirm that fuzzy-PID control significantly improves transient response, accuracy, and adaptability for single-phase IPM motor drives, making it suitable for high-performance applications.

A vehicle-on-railcar system is disclosed for long-haul railway transport, in which a railcar is equipped with a range-extending onboard battery. While an electric vehicle is mounted on the railcar, the railcar battery selectively supplies direct current power to the vehicle inverter, which converts the power to regulated alternating current for driving a railcar traction motor. By supplementing or replacing energy drawn from the vehicle battery, the railcar-based battery enables extended or non-stop long-haul operation without requiring intermediate vehicle charging stops or oversized vehicle batteries. Study 1, a qualitative exploration of PA, involved interviews with 9 individuals, who were highly variable on the ADDRESSING Framework, regarding their experiences with and opinions on PA. Introduction:

Exercise has demonstrated safety and efficacy in mitigating treatment-related symptoms across cancer populations; however, evidence in neuro-oncology remains limited, particularly during active chemoradiation.

Methods:

We report the case of a 63-year-old individual with newly diagnosed glioblastoma, experiencing symptoms of fatigue, balance issues, headaches, and memory loss, who initiated a 12-week supervised resistance training program during concurrent chemoradiation. Assessments at baseline and post-intervention included physical function and quality-of-life outcomes.

Results:

Adherence was 56% (20/36 sessions), and no adverse events occurred. The patient showed improvements in 6-minute walk distance and short physical performance battery score that exceeded established minimal clinically important …

Background

Efforts are needed to promote cancer knowledge and the uptake of cancer screening behaviors among Black Americans. Such efforts must be customized for the unique differences in facilitators/barriers among Black men and women. The present study leverages the potential of the UF Health Cancer Institute Community-Partnered Cancer Disparities Research Collaborative (CDRC) to identify the psychosocial and structural factors associated with cancer knowledge and screening behaviors among Black American men and women.

Recent studies have questioned whether nonviolent tactics can be effective for ethnic minorities. However, they often overlook multiethnic coalitions, shifts in campaign composition, and ethnicity’s parallel role in armed tactics. This paper reevaluates the relationship between ethnicity, tactics, and outcomesin civil conflicts. To do so,we introducenewdata on ethnic groups in contention that offer time-variant measures of the ethnic attributes of campaigns. We find that the effectiveness of nonviolent tactics for ethnic minorities depends on the point of comparison. Campaigns composed solely of excluded groups succeed less often than those made up entirely of privileged groups. However, minorities have still fared …

BACKGROUND: In the assessment of coronary physiology, non-hyperemic pressure ratios (NHPRs) provide an alternative to fractional flow reserve (FFR) without the need for hyperemic agents, reducing procedural time, side effects, and costs. However, it remains unclear whether NHPRs have similar diagnostic performance in the different coronary arteries. This study evaluates the diagnostic performance of NHPRs compared with FFR, stratified by coronary artery, in stable patients with coronary artery disease.
