In these chronic conditions, endometrial tissue spreads outside the uterus or into the myometrium.

Symptoms include severe pain and heavy bleeding during menstruation along with pelvic pain, fatigue, abdominal bloating or nausea.

This survey focuses on how symptoms impact participation in activities of daily life, self-efficacy, and biopsychosocial components such as depression and anxiety.

This thesis examines the concept of identity in the works of Elena Ferrante, arguing that her fiction presents identity not as an isolated, self-contained construct, but as something relational, fluid, and deeply shaped by environment. Focusing primarily on The Neapolitan Quartet, the project introduces “boundaries” as a central framework, drawing on relational-cultural theory to explore how identities are formed through connection as much as separation. In Ferrante’s Naples, the setting functions as a microcosm of broader social forces — class disparity, gender inequality, generational tension, and political ideologies — that collectively shape individual experience.

Inhibitory control, a central component of executive function, is the ability to suppress unwanted actions in response to a stimulus (Verbruggen et al., 2014; Verbruggen et al., 2019) and is one of the best indicators of executive task management as well as the ability to prevent unwanted prepotent responses. This capacity is essential for goal specific behavior and for responding flexibly to challenges. This study investigates the relationship between flood-induced building damage and social vulnerability in coastal New Hampshire, with a focus on communities increasingly affected by sea-level rise, storm surge, and high tide events. Using a dataset of 2,528 single-family homes, the analysis integrates flood depth maps (coastal, pluvial, and fluvial), building-level damage estimates, and a housing-burden-based metric to assess how physical and social factors interact to shape flood impacts. Results show that flood depth is the primary driver of building damage, with the most severe impacts concentrated in coastal areas experiencing deeper inundation. This study particularly highlights its impact on in-person social engagement along with nature utilization and enjoyment, keeping in mind the corresponding benefits associated with those two variables. Eye diseases like cataracts, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and glaucoma are widespread and detrimental conditions affecting many people across the globe. While there are reliable and successful treatments for those with cataracts that can reverse vision impediments, others like glaucoma and AMD have limited treatment options. Additionally, eye damage resulting from these conditions is commonly irreversible, establishing a need for new treatment options. The Iberian-ribbed newt, Pleurodeles waltl, is a salamander species primarily studied for their amazing regenerative capabilities. This results in a knowledge gap about the role of these central organizing units of academic work in the governance of colleges and universities. Through the concept of microfoundations, we explore concrete ways in which departmental governance matters, how it may be challenging, and strategies for fostering effective governance within academic departments.

The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) is a widely recognized entity. Many third-party certifications, such as Safe Quality Food (SQF), Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standard (BRCGS), and Food Safety System Certification 22000 (FSSC), benchmarked against GFSI standards. This study compares the Salmonella detection rates in raw chicken products from SQF, BRCGS, FSSC-certified establishments to those from uncertified ones. We performed a probit regression and calculated average marginal effects using testing data from the Food Safety Inspection Service. Overall, products from certified establishments are associated with 3.2 % lower positive rate of Salmonella detection. Certification is associated with a greater …

The problem addressed in this study is the absence of a unified, faith-centered framework that equips single mothers in Ghana to build sustainable livelihoods while strengthening their spiritual identity. Although Ghanaian women demonstrate remarkable resilience and entrepreneurial drive, many remain confined to informal markets without access to business training, mentorship, or systems that connect their work to their calling. This doctoral project emerges from my vocational context as a consultant and pastor working with senior pastors and executive leadership teams within evangelical contexts. Across these settings, I encountered patterns of abuse and unethical and immoral behavior that were not rooted in isolated mistakes but embedded within organizational cultures that normalized pastoral isolation, protected institutional image, and lacked effective structures for accountability. Since its earliest emergence, universities across the nation have been struggling to create a universal policy surrounding the use of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT. This poster will examine the limitations of a universal, one-size-fits-all AI policy in academic contexts, particularly across disciplines where different pedagogical goals, assessment practices, and ethical concerns exist. As the April 24, 2026 ADA Title II deadline approaches, higher-education instructors are facing the task of improving captions on existing course videos. This poster presents a practical workflow to improve Canvas Studio captions in which AI performs most of the cross-checking between two independent transcripts: the original Studio captions and an AI-generated transcript from the extracted audio. The AI compares the transcripts and uses differences as a quality-check signal: segments with strong agreement remain unchanged, while mismatches, “inaudible/uncertain” markers, and glossary terms (names, acronyms, technical vocabulary) are automatically flagged for targeted human review. In this research, Logic Tensor Networks (LTNs) are used to predict the visibility of the aurora. LTNs implement first-order logic using neural networks. LTNs were used in the classification of conditions for which the aurora could be visible. However, due to the large amount of training data, the LTNs experienced convergence issues during training. To resolve these issues, a batch size hyperparameter was implemented for which only a subset of the training vectors was used each epoch. This allowed the training of the LTNs to successfully converge.
