In the United States, 25% of adolescent females lack access to adequate period products (Period., 2025). Limited access to period products disproportionately affects women of color, women from low-income areas, and rural communities (Kuhlmann & Obionu, 2024). One in six women and girls in Tennessee lives under the federal poverty line (Alliance for Period Supplies, 2025) and likely lacks adequate access to these products. This limited access forces women to use alternatives, such as toilet paper or paper towels, or to use period products longer than recommended. Prior research on the combined effects of insulin and glucagon with low-dose chemotherapy in cancer treatment has yielded contradictory conclusions. Insulin potentiation therapy (IPT), a longstanding but understudied approach, is broadly claimed to enhance chemotherapeutic efficacy; however, it has also been characterized as pseudoscience lacking physiological merit. Adding further complexity, glucagon, insulin's antagonist hormone, has been shown to produce anti-cancer effects when combined with chemotherapeutic agents. The present study aims to observe the individual effects of both hormones on colorectal cancer cells in combination with 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU), to clarify their respective roles in combination therapy. Dementia affects over 55 million people worldwide. That number is expected to rise to 150 million patients worldwide, with the overwhelming majority of cases being Alzheimer's disease (AD). There is no cure or medicine that can cure Alzheimer’s disease; we can only try to prevent it. To prevent the rise in cases of Alzheimer's disease, we must learn what causes AD, what we can control, and how we can control it. Mental health crises are often addressed with law enforcement officers who may not have specific training regarding behavioral health intervention, which can ultimately result in poor outcomes. Tennessee House Bill 0954 proposes that crisis response units with qualified mental health professionals would respond to mental health related calls alongside law enforcement and take the lead in crisis intervention. HB 0954 would also require proper training for officers to encourage collaboration between mental health professionals and officers. Due to ongoing inflammation, inadequate blood flow, oxidative stress, and reduced tissue regeneration, chronic diabetic wounds heal slowly, which is a serious health concern. It is important to examine novel strategies that tackle these issues because conventional treatments frequently fail. Therefore, this study examined the physical properties and biocompatibility of a novel topical gel formulated with chitosan and Quercus infectoria gall extract.

The application of judicial review to tax legislation presents unique challenges and inconsistencies. This study contends that the proportionality doctrine, widely used in numerous legal systems, offers the best framework for reviewing the constitutionality of tax laws. By examining the implementation of proportionality in countries such as Germany, Israel, and Canada, this research argues that adopting this doctrine—excluding the Stricto Sensu sub-test—could provide a more consistent and fair method for judicial review of tax legislation. The anti-inflammatory properties of granulocytic myeloid-derived suppressor cells (G-MDSCs) promote Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) biofilm persistence. Evidence suggests that G-MDSC activity is shaped not only by S. aureus products but also by intrinsic metabolic programs. This study explores whether G-MDSC activity can be modulated by increasing mitochondrial abundance using a co-culture paradigm with macrophages as a mitochondrial donor. Macrophages transfer mitochondria directly to G-MDSCs via tunneling nanotubes, enhancing G-MDSC respiration, as reflected by increased basal, maximal, and spare respiratory capacity. Augmenting mitochondrial abundance in G-MDSCs enhances T cell-suppressive activity and reduces tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and interleukin 6 (IL-6) production. …

One of the most common types of cybercriminal groups are, “Ransomware-as-a-Service (RaaS)" groups, who create and sell ransomware. While research is conducted into the development of ransomware, there is limited reporting on the organizational structure and habits of RaaS groups. In 2022, prominent RaaS group Conti had their chat logs leaked, with the logs ranging from 2020 to 2022. In Silico Repurposing Of Fda-Approved Pleiotropic Metabolic Modulators For Alzheimer's Tau Protein, Maanya Chitrapu, Juhi Vora, Navi Gill Dhillon

Abstract: Alzheimer's Disease (AD) is characterized as "Type 3 Diabetes," where metabolic dysfunction drives Tau protein aggregation. This study uses in silico docking to compare the structural efficacy of three drug classes (Glucose, Lipid, and Cardio-Metabolic) against the Tau paired helical filament. 60 FDA-approved modulators were docked using CB-Dock2. Performance was tiered by Vina score thresholds: Elite (< -8.0 kcal/mol), Moderate (-6.0 to -7.9 kcal/mol), and Weak (> -6.0 kcal/mol). Cardio-Metabolic agents outperformed typical metabolic treatments. Digoxin resulted as the most "Ente' candidate (-9.0 kcal/mon. signincantiv surpassing the standard glucose regulator Mettormin (-4.5 kcal/mon. The show follows a South Korean chaebol heiress, Yoon Se-ri, who crash lands into the North Korean side of the Demilitarized Zone. She is discovered by North Korean soldier, Ri Jeong Hyeok, who mercifully decides not to kill her on the spot. Over the course of 16 episodes and 23 hours, as Ri Jeong Hyeok betrays loyalty lines by evading the North Korean Military Police and helping Yoon Se-ri return to the south, the two’s fateful meeting evolves into a cross-border romance.

The 2024 dissolution of the MFP marked a turning point in Thai electoral politics, catalyzing a cultural contest over political expression through music. The court’s decision to dissolve the MFP was perceived as a direct attack on free political discourse, intensifying state-led censorship efforts against musicians who critiqued the establishment.
