To address the safety risk prevention requirements caused by right-of-way conflicts in the mixed traffic environment of motor and non-motorized vehicles at urban intersections, a collision risk prediction method for motor and non-motorized vehicles integrating trajectory clustering and deep learning was proposed in this paper to improve the accuracy of traffic safety assessment at intersections. First, multi-type vehicle trajectory data in drone videos were extracted based on the DataFromSky software to construct a high-precision spatiotemporal dataset containing vehicle coordinates, velocities, and accelerations, and high-risk scenario trajectories were screened through the feature analysis of risk scenarios. In view of the problems that existing monitoring methods for rock mass joints mainly rely on manual identification, with low detection efficiency and strong subjectivity, a detection and segmentation method for rock mass joints was proposed in this paper. The model improved the YOLOv8 algorithm by introducing the multi-scale feature module (MSBlock) and channel prior convolutional attention (CPCA) mechanism to enhance the image recognition accuracy of the existing YOLOv8 network model. To address the integrated demands of ecological protection, landscape coordination, and tourism service enhancement in the post-earthquake reconstruction of Chuanjiu Road following the Jiuzhaigou Earthquake, a "borderless" integration design concept was proposed, and systematic engineering practices were conducted. To enhance the scientific rigor and precision of urban road maintenance decision-making, this study proposes an ensemble learning-based method for predicting the asphalt pavement condition index (IPCI). Based on historical pavement inspection and maintenance data for urban roads in Beijing from 2017 to 2024, a multidimensional feature dataset encompassing pavement usage indicators, performance indicators, and environmental impact indicators was constructed. Feature selection was performed using Pearson correlation coefficients and the LASSO method. Based on these selected features, 11 widely used machine learning models were trained, and their hyperparameters were optimized. It analyses the impacts of Japan’s expanding security posture in Southeast Asia, specifically focusing on the Japan-China great power rivalry in the region. While previous research has examined Japan’s intention to intensify its security engagement with Southeast Asian countries, this paper aims to study the broader impact of Japan’s expanding security cooperation on the region's security constellation. This paper examines elite mobilisation and norm contestation within The Gambia's pluralistic legal framework, encompassing common, customary, and Sharia law, in the context of implementing the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). Despite ratification and domestic legislation, implementation has been significantly challenged by religious leaders and traditional authorities who mobilised resistance against key CRC provisions, including prohibitions on child marriage, child labour, and female genital mutilation (FGM), citing incompatibility with local customs and beliefs. Abstract reasoning in early childhood is often described as following a “relational shift,” over which children become increasingly sensitive to relations. However, recent work has challenged the generality of this account, showing that children in the US and China follow distinct trajectories in a relational match-to-sample task. This difference aligns with multiple cultural and linguistic factors implicated in relational reasoning, where the US and China appear at opposite ends of a continuum, focusing on objects (US) versus relations (CN). Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is associated with cardiovascular dysfunction that worsens clinical outcomes, yet the underlying mechanisms are poorly under stood. Clinical studies are limited by heterogeneity, highlighting the need for con trolled experimental models. Controlled cortical impact (CCI) provides precise control of injury severity, and invasive pressure- volume (PV) loop analysis allows detailed hemodynamic assessment. Adult male Wistar rats underwent sham op eration or mild or severe CCI- induced TBI. PV- loop assessment and transtho racic echocardiography were performed at 8 or 24 h after TBI or sham. Safety in surface mining operations is a major organizational management challenge due to the inherently hazardous nature of mining activities. This study aimed to explain safety challenges and identify their interrelationships through a combined qualitative-fuzzy DEMATEL approach in a surface mine in Yazd Province, Iran. Medication administration errors remain a significant patient safety concern in healthcare and nursing education. This Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) quality improvement project evaluated the implementation of a standardized medication safety learning module and incident reporting process to improve medication safety awareness, medication administration competency, and error reporting among second-semester Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students. Guided by the Johns Hopkins Nursing Evidence-Based Practice Model and Kotter's 8-Step Change Model, the project incorporated medication safety education, simulation-based learning, and near-miss reporting to promote a culture of safety. ID screening is a two-part process — the card and identity must be authenticated. Psychological research has typically focused on identity verification without considering card verification. To fill this gap, the present study had participants complete an ID verification task while wearing eye-tracking glasses to record gaze behavior during face-matching decisions. After 2 practice trials, a research assistant presented 48 physical ID cards with embedded facial images, one at a time, beside a computer monitor that presented a facial videos and calendar date. Ozone (O3) is gaining popularity for its use in industrial and environmental applications, including water treatment, air purification, disinfection, and odor remediation. As a powerful oxidizing agent, ozone is highly effective in destroying harmful bacteria and degrading hazardous gas pollutants such as hydrogen sulfide (H2S). Dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) reactors are widely used for commercial ozone production under atmospheric-pressure conditions. Existing research explores self-regulation in the field of special education, however there has yet to be a body of research that relates specifically to special education teachers’ perceptions of their role in fostering self-regulating students in grades K-8. This narrative qualitative study utilized interviews and observations to extract data from each of the 15 total participants across 9 suburban New Jersey public school districts. Common perceptions of participants included a lack of, or unclear, district vision regarding self-regulation, as well as an absence of explicit professional development. This study examined the experiences of Black students who graduated with degrees in criminal justice within the last five years, as well as professors serving criminal justice programs. In this study, Black students are defined as those who identify as Black or African American, and the research focused on a criminal justice higher education institution’s educational program in the Northeast. Protein S-Palmitoylation is a reversible post-translational modification that regulates protein trafficking, membrane localization, and neuronal function through the activity of the zinc finger Asp-His-His-Cys (zDHHC) family of palmitoyl acyltransferases. Although SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells are widely used as an in vitro model of neuronal differentiation, the expression profile of the complete zDHHC family during retinoic acid (RA)-induced differentiation has not been systematically characterized. The objective of this study was to characterize the expression of all 23 human zDHHC genes during RA induced differentiation of SH-SY5Y cells. Palmitoylation is a reversible post-translational modification involving covalent attachment of palmitoyl groups to cysteine residues. Till date, 23 members of this family have been identified in mammals, located in Golgi apparatus and endoplasmic reticulum and nearly 40% of synaptic proteins are estimated undergo palmitoylation. These proteins include vesicle fusion proteins (SNARE), signaling molecules, ion channels and neurotransmitter receptors such as gamma-aminobutyric acidreceptors, kainate receptors and glutamate receptors. Prior research demonstrates that culturally relevant pedagogies can enhance students’ academic engagement, critical thinking, and sense of belonging, while also buffering against the negative effects of discrimination and marginalization. Recycled concrete powder (RCP) exhibits pronounced variability in mineral component contents, which leads to competitive adsorption of superplasticizers in RCP-Portland cement (PC) pastes and consequently to mineral composition-dependent deviations in rheological properties. In this study, limestone powder (LSP), quartz powder (QZP), and hardened paste powder (HPP) were used to simulate the main components of RCP. Effects of RCPs with target components on the rheological properties of blended cement paste were investigated, and a competitive-adsorption coefficient (CC) was proposed to quantify the competitive adsorption of superplasticizer.
