Based on surface energy theory, the sessile drop contact angle testing method was employed to measure the contact angles of five asphalt types (emulsified asphalt, water-activated asphalt, polyurethane asphalt, PG 76 modified asphalt, and 70# base asphalt) and four aggregates (granite, basalt, diabase and limestone) to quantitatively characterize the interfacial adhesion and water stability of constant temperature asphalt, hot mix asphalt, and aggregate systems. Surface energy parameters, cohesive work, adhesive work, and debonding work were calculated. To investigate the stability problems frequently arising in the push-from-the-rear incremental launching construction of steel box girders of curved ramp bridges, this study took the steel box girder project of the Qingshui Bridge Hub ramp bridge as the engineering background. In recent years, ship-bridge collisions have occurred frequently, significantly increasing the risk of damage to bridge substructures. To evaluate the safety performance of the damaged double-column pier and determine the optimal reinforcement scheme, the ship collision accident involving Xietang Bridge was used as the engineering case study. Several feasible reinforcement measures were proposed, and the impact resistance of each scheme was compared using finite element simulations. Suspension bridges are characterized by low longitudinal stiffness and large deformation. To reduce the longitudinal displacement at the girder ends and the required movement capacity of the expansion joints, static and dynamic finite element analysis models of the main bridge were established based on the Labo Chongtian River Bridge. Cable force optimization is a key step in ensuring a rational force state of cable-stayed bridge structures. To address the repeated iterations, complicated adjustment procedures, and low computational efficiency associated with cable force optimization using traditional finite element software, this paper combined Python with the OpenSeesPy open-source library to establish a finite element model of a cable-stayed bridge that accounted for the construction process. Lane changing is generally prohibited and strict speed limits are imposed in expressway tunnels in China. To address the limitations of traditional empirical interpretation methods for advanced ground penetrating radar (GPR) detection images of tunnels, including inconsistent standards, low efficiency, and high rates of misinterpretation and missed detection, this study proposed an intelligent inversion method for radar B-scan waveform images of adverse geology based on an improved generative adversarial network (GAN). To enhance the scientific rigor and precision of urban road maintenance decision-making, this study proposes an ensemble learning-based method for predicting the asphalt pavement condition index (IPCI). Based on historical pavement inspection and maintenance data for urban roads in Beijing from 2017 to 2024, a multidimensional feature dataset encompassing pavement usage indicators, performance indicators, and environmental impact indicators was constructed. Feature selection was performed using Pearson correlation coefficients and the LASSO method. Based on these selected features, 11 widely used machine learning models were trained, and their hyperparameters were optimized. Abstract reasoning in early childhood is often described as following a “relational shift,” over which children become increasingly sensitive to relations. However, recent work has challenged the generality of this account, showing that children in the US and China follow distinct trajectories in a relational match-to-sample task. Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is associated with cardiovascular dysfunction that worsens clinical outcomes, yet the underlying mechanisms are poorly under stood. Clinical studies are limited by heterogeneity, highlighting the need for con trolled experimental models. Controlled cortical impact (CCI) provides precise control of injury severity, and invasive pressure- volume (PV) loop analysis allows detailed hemodynamic assessment. The topic of the article is the carbon footprint of coal as a primary source of energy. In light of climate change and the energy transition in the European Union, it is increasingly important to analyse the carbon footprint of individual economic sectors. Transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) youth continue to experience significant challenges in school belonging, safety, and mental health outcomes within K-12 educational settings. At the same time, literature highlights the important role affirming school environments play in promoting resilience and well-being among TGD students. Across different socioeconomic statuses, geographic locations, and racial or ethnic backgrounds, trauma can affect students in nearly every school across the U.S. While children show vastly different behavioral responses to these experiences of trauma, their experiences affect their behavior in the classroom and, in turn, their ability to succeed academically.
