Studies on the preposition within the different linguistic theories reveal a great divergence of perspective. Two main positions emerge from this debate. The first approach refuses to assign a semantic content to the preposition and considers it as an empty element whose function is purely structural. The second approach, on the contrary, considers that the preposition has a semantic value that contributes to the interpretation of utterances. This article examines these two positions and highlights the limits of each, while stressing the need for an integrative approach capable of accounting for both structural and semantic dimensions.

The use of non-invasive media to evaluate the association between trace elements and diseases has spread in recent centuries. Fingernail samples were collected from 103 individuals, including both healthy participants and those undergoing hemodialysis, residing in Karbala, Iraq, and ranging in age from 21 to 75 years. The concentrations of lead were determined using an Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP OES). Despite extensive research on Industry 4.0 (I4.0) technologies, relatively little attention has been given to their impact on financial performance at the firm level. This study proposes a model to investigate the links between I4.0 implementation level (I4.0IL), supply chain management performance (SCMP), customer management performance (CMP), and company financial outcomes using bootstrap-based structural equation modeling (SEM) with data from 91 companies across various sectors. The results of the bootstrap-based SEM with 1,000 resamples show that SCMP significantly influences both CMP and company financial performance, and CMP also significantly impacts financial performance. This study examines the influence of Rotating Savings and Credit Associations (ROSCAs) on local trade flows in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Using a structured questionnaire, data were gathered from 107 ROSCA members to assess three key areas: the operational dynamics of ROSCAs, the socio-economic profiles of ROSCA members, and the accessibility of financial resources among ROSCA members. The findings reveal a significant positive relationship between the effective management of ROSCAs and increased local trade flows, underscoring that well-organized associations can facilitate smoother financial transactions. Background

Bovine metritis is associated with uterine microbiota dysbiosis, characterized by the proliferation of Gram-negative anaerobes, including Fusobacterium necrophorum, Bacteroides pyogenes, and Porphyromonas levii. However, the mechanisms by which these opportunistic pathogens proliferate together and contribute to disease remain unclear. This study aimed to identify the interactions among these bacteria and to elucidate their role in the development of metritis.

SGLT2-selective inhibitors are a new class of oral antidiabetic drugs that enhance glycemic control in diabetic patients by blocking glucose reabsorption. Rigid sphere-rod amphiphiles (RSRAs) comprising a Keggin polyoxometalate (POM) headgroup and an oligofluorene rod with different side chain lengths (C2, C6, C10, C16, are the number of carbon atoms per side chain) were probed by all-atom molecular dynamics in THF/water mixtures (15 and 33 vol % THF) with tetrabutylammonium (TBA+) counterions to elucidate the molecular origins of dimerization. Despite strong Keggin-Keggin electrostatic repulsion, stable dimers form through a synergy of (i) hydrophobic rod/side-chain interaction that strengthens with side-chain length and (ii) counterion-mediated attraction by TBA+, which localizes near the Keggins to screen electrostatic repulsion. To present and analyze recent developments in remote cardiac rehabilitation for older adults, review outcomes data regarding clinical effectiveness of these modalities, and discuss implementation strategies targeted at older adults.

Recent Findings

Data from recent studies enrolling older adults into remote cardiac rehabilitation programs have yielded mixed results with some showing encouraging improvements in functional capacity and quality of life comparable to those obtained with center-based rehabilitation programs. Studies that showed no improvement in outcomes identified decreased patient engagement as an important driver of results. This study combines the CRITIC and DEMATEL methods and introduces a new hybrid scenario analysis approach that identifies cross-scenario strategies. We use Taiwan's wind energy industry as a case study to validate the process. Although scenario analysis has been applied across various fields and organization types—including strategic planning, education, training, and recent environmental issues—scholars have highlighted problems such as the subjectivity of qualitative analysis and the lack of quantitative evidence. To address this, this study integrates scenario analysis with quantitative multi-criteria decision analysis to support decision makers in conducting scenario evaluations.
