Marine fisheries are an important source of food and livelihoods globally. However, climate-induced changes in marine ecosystems are affecting fish populations and sustainable fishing opportunities. By combining datasets on climate-driven changes in population distribution and biomass with Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) seafood ecolabel program data, we conduct a large-scale risk analysis of fisheries under a high-emissions scenario by mid-century. Results show that fisheries targeting tuna and billfish face the highest relative risks of management disruption, due to high exposure to stock shifts and higher governance vulnerabilities, followed by small pelagic and demersal fisheries. Adult mammalian hearts exhibit limited regenerative capacity because of the restricted renewal of cardiomyocytes. Recent studies reveal that mammalian hearts exhibit transient regenerative potential within a short time frame after birth, suggesting a regulatory mechanism that prevents adult hearts from initiating a regenerative response to cardiac injury. Here, we discovered that an active form of YAP, named YAP6SA, which is not inhibited by the Hippo signaling pathway and does not interact with TEADs, induces cardiomyocyte cell cycle reentry. In addition, YAP6SA interacts with scaffold protein MPDZ to regulate Rho GTPases and promote cell cycle progression in cardiomyocytes (CMs). Importantly, YAP6SA …

Efficient nitrogen (N) management is essential for sustaining crop productivity while minimizing environmental impacts associated with excessive fertilizer use. Variable-rate application (VRA) offers a precision-based approach to matching N inputs with crop demand, yet winter wheat responses to reduced N rates are still underexplored. This study evaluated winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) performance under variable and uniform N application strategies using canopy greenness (NDVI), grain yield, plant N content, nitrogen use efficiency (NUE), and fertilizer costs as indicators. Reduced N treatments (40% and 60% VRA rates) were compared with a uniform (100%) application. Canopy greenness increased across all treatments over …

This research analyses the relationships between stakeholders involved in faith-based tourism practices in Quds, Indonesia. Through a qualitative approach, we investigate, in Quds the interactions and relationships of multiple parties involved in the religious tourism industry, including pilgrims, government, local communities and related institutions. While researchers are in agreement about the positive relationship between spiritual activities (SAs) and mental health (MH) among the general population, the relationship between spiritual tourism (ST) and MH, particularly among young adults, is yet to be adequately investigated. As such, this research was conducted to determine the contribution of ST towards the MH of the younger generation. The study explores the Tourism-led-growth Hypothesis (TLGH) with a focus on spiritual tourism and economic growth in Saudi Arabia. Using the Generalised Method of Moments (GMM) for 28 years of annual data, we evaluated the impact of religious tourism on economic growth in the presence of structural breaks. Our analysis yielded promising results; thus, we make 4 important contributions to the literature. First, we establish the presence of a positive relationship between spiritual tourism and economic growth across all our models. This report shows that between 2000 and 2024, the Latino population of the New York metropolitan area increased by 48% from 3,592,542 to 5,316,472 according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Along with population expansion, there was a decisive change in settlement patterns among all Latinos, which, in fact, began before 2000. This was the decline of New York City as the major area of the Latino population concentration, although there were differentiations by nationality.

In 2000, 60% of all Latinos in the region lived in the City. By 2024, this had declined to 46%. And while the City’s Latino population …

[Objective] To solve the problems of low efficiency and high cost in cherry screening. [Methods] A heatmap regression method HRNet-YT was proposed to automatically identify cherry size and the presence of fruit stems, thereby realizing efficient screening. HRNet-YT utilized multiple parallel subnetworks to achieve multi-scale information fusion while maintaining high-resolution representations, ensuring the spatial accuracy of heatmaps for stem and calyx keypoints. By leveraging heatmap techniques to capture rich contextual information and optimizing the loss function, the model's robustness and precision were enhanced. [Methods] Eleven commercial fragrant rapeseed oils with different erucic acid contents were selected as the research objects. Their fatty acid compositions and basic physicochemical indicators (acid value, peroxide value, and color) were determined. [Methods] The effects of hot air temperatures (60, 70, 80, and 90 ℃) on the drying curves and drying characteristic curves of A.melanocarpa were investigated. Eight commonly used drying models suitable for fruits and vegetables were selected for fitting, analysis, and validation to identify the optimal hot air drying model for A. melanocarpa.
