This study examines the attitudes of cotton producers in Şanlıurfa toward establishing a producers’ union to address structural challenges in Türkiye’s leading cotton production region. Şanlıurfa contributes approximately 40% of Türkiye’s cotton output, yet lacks organizational frameworks for its nearly 20,000 producers who face significant risks including price volatility, high input costs, and limited market access. The research utilized primary data collected through face-to-face surveys with 165 cotton producers selected via convenience sampling. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis using Principal Component Analysis (PCA), independent samples t-tests, and one-way ANOVA. The study was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture in Dicle University, Southeast Anatolia, Türkiye, during the 2023 growing season to estimate heterosis, heterobeltiosis, and dominance for phenological, leaf, and plant traits in F₁ hybrids from desi × kabuli and kabuli × kabuli chickpea crosses. In 2022, 2 desi (Black, ICCV 10) and 3 kabuli (Azkan, ILC 533, ILC 482) chickpea varieties were crossed, producing 10 hybrids and 5 parents evaluated in a randomized complete block design with 3 replications. Complex magnetic materials are extremely attractive for revealing unconventional spin states and novel magnetic excitations. Here, we report the structural, thermodynamic, and magnetic properties of a novel magnetic material Li₂Co₃Se₄O₁₂based on x-ray and neutron diffraction, specific heat, magnetization, and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurements. X-ray and neutron diffraction refinements reveal two Co sites Co (1) and Co (2) even though both are in the octahedral environment. Background: Infective endocarditis (IE) caused by non-HACEK gram-negative bacilli (GNB) is challenging to diagnose and is associated with high morbidity and mortality. There is growing literature highlighting the differences in IE prevalence amongst various GNB; therefore, there is an impetus to characterize these traditionally "atypical" organisms to accurately risk stratify this complex infectious diagnosis.

Ongoing robust state investment in the Commonwealth Cares for Children Grant Program, activities of the Healey-Driscoll Inter Agency Early Education and Child Care Task Force, and increased income eligibility for child care financial assistance to families with moderate incomes, among other initiatives, all help address persistent barriers to quality education and care at a price families can afford.

Background: Older adults are at high risk for severe injuries and death from falls. Physical therapist (PT) and occupational therapist (OT) evaluations have been introduced into Emergency Department (ED) care to assist with fall risk evaluation and fall prevention care. An evaluation of current evidence was undertaken to inform the Geriatric ED Guidelines 2.0.

Baleen whales are key consumers in marine habitats that serve as vectors of nutrients, but their populations have been slow to recover from past commercial whaling due to their low reproductive rates and ongoing anthropogenic threats. Climate impacts have become central to the demography and habitat use of baleen whales, and conservation efforts must account for these impacts to be effective. This working paper describes the adaptation, pilot testing, and initial validation of the U.S. Census Bureau’s Multidimensional Deprivation Index (MDI) for use among resettled Afghan refugees. The adaptation process included a scoping review, a qualitative descriptive study, and consultation with a community advisory board. The adapted index was subsequently pilot tested among 336 resettled Afghan households in the United States. Results indicate high rates of deprivation across all seven domains of the adapted MDI. Notably, employment and career mobility domain showed limited association with other domains, confirming the emerging evidence that employment alone no longer could be an indicator of …

Institutional Cross-Ownership Of Peer Firms And Revelatory Price Efficiency, Young Jun Cho, Holly I. Yang, Yue Zhao

We argue that cross-ownership increases the amount of private information in stock price, enhancing the ability of stock price to provide feedback to managers. Consistent with this argument, we find greater cross-ownership heightens a firm’s investment-q sensitivity. This effect is stronger for firms with a lower propensity for voluntary disclosure and for firms whose managers hold less private information. Furthermore, we find that cross-ownership is negatively associated with the sensitivity of a firm’s investment to its peers’ stock prices. Additionally, cross-ownership has a stronger impact on the investment-q sensitivity when measured among investors who trade more actively the firm’s shares. …

Evaluating the alignment of large language models (LLMs) with user-defined coding preferences is a challenging endeavor that requires a deep assessment of LLMs' outputs. Existing methods and benchmarks rely primarily on automated metrics and static analysis tools, which often fail to capture the nuances of user instructions and LLM outputs. To address this gap, we introduce the LLM-as-a-Judge evaluation framework and present CodeUltraFeedback, a comprehensive dataset for assessing and improving LLM alignment with coding preferences. OmNI performs differential expression analysis utilizing customizable linear models, accommodating various covariates and complex experimental designs. For cross- omic layer integration, OmNI employs a modified S-score statistic, ensuring sensitive detection of differential features. The framework also integrates network and metabolomics data, offering detailed insights into regulatory mechanisms through comprehensive enrichment analy- sis using multiple pathway databases. Since the beginning of the second Trump Administration in 2025, Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) has increased their activity in conducting operations to deport immigrants and citizens. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recorded nearly 220,000 arrests from October 15th, 2025, through January 20th, 2026. The types of people being detained have almost exclusively been people with no criminal conviction (96.9%) compared to those with a criminal conviction (3.1%).
