He serves as a counselor, advisor, and guide, especially for immigrants and first-generation college students who may lack extended family support. He helps community members navigate not only education but also careers, marriage, and faith-based decisions through an Islamic lens. At Fordham University, he works to build a Muslim community through programs such as Ramadan events, spiritual counseling, mentorship initiatives, and multifaith dialogue.

At the end of the interview, Boakye explains what he wants for Kwasi Paul in the future, both in the Bronx and in the fashion industry. For the Bronx, he wants it to represent Ghanaian fashion, something Ghanaians in the Bronx can be proud of. He wants the Bronx to be seen as something better, not a “dirty” borough, as stereotypes would have it. ABSTRACT There remains a substantial need for awareness about mental health and effective counselling within Muslim immigrant communities. Previous research has found higher levels of stress, depression, and anxiety amongst Muslim immigrants; however, limited research has focused on the manner in which acculturative stress and religiosity influence psychological well-being, particularly when also considering generational differences. Therefore, using a sample composed of 369 first and second-generation South Asian Muslim immigrants, the following study examined the effects of acculturative stress on depression and life satisfaction, as well the moderating influence of religiosity and generational differences. Bladder cancer (BC) represents the most prevalent malignancy within the urinary system. Mounting evidence underscores the critical involvement of ferroptosis in cancer pathogenesis; Consequently, this study delves into its molecular underpinnings and therapeutic potential specifically in BC. Methods: We analyzed gene expression profiles from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and the Gene Expression Om-nibus (GEO) repositories. Ferroptosis-related genes (FRGs) were selected from the FerrDb database. Utilizing systematic bioinformatics analyses, we identify differentially expressed and prognostic FRGs and construct an FRGs prognostic model. Combined with protein-protein interaction (PPI) analysis, solute carrier family 3 member 2 (SLC3A2) was selected for further study. …

Twenty-year uninterrupted endeavor of titanium alloys printing has opened up a new paradigm in metal additive manufacturing (AM) to fabricate engineering components with required strength–density–corrosion combinations. Despite the remarkable advances in titanium AM, controlling the grain structure to print the parts with engineered microstructures, tailored mechanical properties, and minimum anomalies remains challenging. Numerous approaches have been implemented to address this challenge, such as printing parameter control, post-AM heat treatments, and thermomechanical processing. High-resolution air-temperature fields are essential for climate, hydrologic, and ecological applications in complex terrain, yet operational products often lack the spatial detail to resolve topographic effects. We develop an observation-driven reconstruction of daily air temperature fields for South Korea (2024) using ordinary kriging with lapse-rate correction (OKLR), integrating a dense network of over 500 stations from the Automatic Mountain Meteorology Observation System (AMOS) and the Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS). The OKLR framework systematically removes elevation-driven trends using a physically based fixed lapse rate (–6.5 °C km−1), performs kriging on detrended residuals, and reapplies Digital Elevation Model (DEM)-based corrections to …

Online civic engagement among young people may represent a form of positive youthdevelopment in digital spaces. However, its impacts on youth’s well-being remain unclear,partly due to a lack of validated measures that capture the unique features of the internetand incorporate youth voices. To address this gap, we developed and validated a scale ofmultidimensional online civic engagement for youth aged 15 to 25 years (MOCE-Y) using anexploratory sequential mixed-methods approach. This study investigates the relationship between the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) and the Community Satisfaction Index (CSI) at Balai Litbang Agama (the Office of Religious Research and Development) of Semarang, with particular attention to gender differences. A total of 155 respondents participated in the survey. The statistical analysis reveals no significant gender differences in either corruption perception or public satisfaction. It also indicates a moderate positive correlation between transparency measures and public satisfaction, suggesting that improved governance practices enhance public trust. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of standardized service delivery protocols and highlight the importance of transparency initiatives in public …

The development of photoelectrochemical (PEC) devices involves the attachment of molecular photosensitizers onto solid supports. Particularly significant to this work are PECs that rely on ruthenium-based photosensitizers on high band gap metal oxide (MOx) supports. In this study, we have explored a new ester binding motif (MOx-ester) to covalently attach a ruthenium polypyridyl photosensitizer to TiO₂. This new MOx-ester photoanode is compared to the traditional photoanodes that utilize acid/base binding groups to attach the molecular Ru sensitizers to TiO₂.
