Peptide-drug conjugates (PDCs) are modular, targeted therapeutics composed of a homing peptide linked to a cytotoxic or modulating drug payload via a cleavable/non-cleavable linker. PDCs utilize peptide targeting to enhance the delivery of potent drugs to tumors, providing advantages such as superior tissue penetration, reduced immunogenicity, and simpler manufacture compared to antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). A comparison of PDCs versus ADCs highlights that PDCs’ small size (~1-3 kDa) enables deeper tumor penetration and faster clearance, whereas ADCs (~150 kDa) benefit from prolonged circulation but suffer from limited tissue diffusion. Ceramic on-demand extrusion (CODE) is a new material extrusion additive manufacturing process for advanced ceramics. Studies have demonstrated capability of CODE in producing ceramic parts with superior mechanical properties. The objective of this study was to develop the next generation of CODE printer. The frame, gantry system, extrusion head, oil tank, and radiation subsystem were designed, fabricated, and controlled. Ceramic slurries were developed and fed to the extruder that prints parts onto a bedplate. Green parts were then subject to postprocessing, including drying, debinding, and sintering. Composites and functionally graded materials were created using CODE to further study the process.

Vienna’s reputation as the ballroom dancing capital of Europe was already secured by the end of the eighteenth century and continues to this day. This chapter examines the rich history of dance in Vienna from the eighteenth century – the period of the first public ballrooms as well as the emergence of ballet as an independent art form – to the present day. It discusses Viennese ball culture and its iconic dance, the waltz, which is the part of Vienna’s history that has been most influential on wider dance culture, and originated the most recognizably and distinctively ‘Viennese’ musical style.

Increasing freshwater discharge from the cryosphere has the potential to affect mechanisms that regulate the supply of macronutrients to primary producers in the ocean. Although numerous studies have characterized the biogeochemical effects of freshwater discharge from the Greenland Ice Sheet within fjords, it is unclear to what extent these effects propagate offshore and whether or not seasonal macronutrient availability in Greenland's shelf seas has changed since annual freshwater discharge increased in the mid-1990s. The trigeminocardiac reflex (TCR) is a physiological response characterized by a reduction in heart rate and arterial blood pressure following stimulation of any branch of the fifth cranial nerve. This review presents a novel mechanism of TCR induction through proprioceptive activation of the trigeminal nerve via mandibular extension (ME). Accordingly, it is referred to as the “proprioceptive trigeminocardiac reflex” (pTCR). An overview of the existing literature on ME-evoked TCR in humans and animals is presented, with particular emphasis on evidence of cerebral microcirculatory alterations. Background/aim: This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between the impaction level and angulation of third molars and the incidence of caries in the adjacent second molars.
