This research presents quantitative and qualitative data on subsistence and cultural transitions in a warm-temperate area of northwest Florida during the Late Archaic-Early Woodland transition (from about 3500 – AD 300). By completing an inventory of the faunal assemblages from two shell middens, I was able to evaluate resource selection and use both within and between sites. Results suggest that site inhabitants utilized consistent resources, despite any documented or potential climatic and ecological change which occurred. Familial chylomicronemia syndrome (FCS) is a rare, inherited lipid disorder characterized by severe hypertriglyceridemia and a risk of recurrent pancreatitis. Patients with biallelic pathogenic variants affecting lipoprotein lipase (LPL)-mediated triglyceride metabolism may remain refractory to conventional lipid-lowering therapies and strict dietary control, leading to recurrent critical illness and progressive multisystem complications.

We report a female patient with genetically confirmed FCS and persistent triglyceride levels typically in the 4,000-5,000 mg/dL range despite adherence to diet and lipid-lowering therapy, without clear secondary contributors to severe hypertriglyceridemia. Survivors of Torture (SoT) experience disproportionately high rates of PTSD, depression, and anxiety (Steel et al., 2009). Many SoT treatment programs use brief assessments to monitor symptoms (McFarlane & Kaplan, 2012). However, research on integrating feedback into treatment had been limited until Colpas et al.'s 2024 study on Sharebacks, a novel approach where clients review their progress with their clinician in structured feedback sessions. Computer Science: Faculty Publications and Other Works

The rapid adoption of artificial intelligence across industries has outpaced security and privacy training for AI practitioners. This paper presents methods, modules, and findings from an experiential training program designed to address security and privacy challenges in AI systems development and deployment. We conducted two program iterations: a comprehensive 12-workshop series (May-October 2024) and a condensed 6-workshop format (January-February 2025). The program combined expert-led panel sessions with hands-on laboratory activities, engaging 78 participants from diverse professional backgrounds. Evaluation through pre- and post-evaluation surveys and qualitative observations revealed improvements in cybersecurity knowledge and AI security awareness. BACKGROUND: Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia and a growing healthcare challenge. Amyloid-targeting therapies (ATT) may slow progression, but implementation is limited by logistical and economic barriers. As primary care is the first contact for most patients with cognitive concerns, quantifying treatment eligibility in this setting is essential. The purpose of this study was to estimate the proportion of primary care patients presenting with cognitive symptoms who are eligible for ATT. Manufacturers adopt different warranty strategies for remanufactured products, offering shorter, identical, or longer warranty periods compared to new products. However, prior research has only focused on manufacturers offering either shorter or identical warranties. In addition, the existing literature has not captured the diminishing returns of warranties, i.e., as the warranty coverage increases, its incremental benefits begin to decrease but the costs continue to increase. To address these gaps, we develop an optimization model that jointly considers pricing and warranty decisions while accounting for warranty’s diminishing effect on consumer’s willingness to pay for remanufactured products. Analogical reasoning is an increasingly popular, lightweight solution to enable large language model (LLM)-level reasoning without computational complexity. Still, it has yet to be adopted due to its reliance on strictly hand-formatted data. Therefore, we propose Analogy2KG (“Analogy to Knowledge Graph”), as an automatic pipeline that transforms text into a KG format via a fine-tuned version of information extraction (IE) algorithms for long-text analogies. A strength of the University Archives at the University of New Hampshire is its strong administrative and institutional history collections through the mid 20th century, with hundreds of linear feet of manuscripts from offices across campus. However, some of these collections were processed more than 30 years ago and are missing descriptive work that would ideally highlight communities of color on campus and their inclusion and self-advocacy in the history of higher education.

The growing contamination caused by the dye and textile industries has generated serious environmental issues due to the release of chemically synthesized dyes such as methylene blue (MB), which are toxic and resistant to biodegradation. This study examines the impact of contact time, adsorbent dosage, and initial pH on the removal efficiency of MB using Citrus aurantium peels as a cost-effective and environmentally friendly adsorbent. The Box-Behnken design methodology was employed to identify optimal conditions for maximum removal. This study explores the potential of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) to enhance bioethanol production from potato peel waste. By using the abundant and low-cost nature of potato peels and the catalytic properties of AgNPs, this research aims to contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly energy solution. The study examines the effect of varying AgNP concentrations on bioethanol yield and its other properties, including sugar content, purity, and yield percentages. A comprehensive methodology was employed for milling, nanoparticle synthesis, pretreatment, fermentation, and purification.
