Background/Objectives: Understanding how motor and cognitive development may contribute to prosocial behavior is essential for supporting whole-child development in early learning settings. Early childhood education settings are well-positioned to address these concerns through integrated approaches that support the whole child. Research exploring the mechanisms that link developmental domains remains limited, especially regarding how motor development may influence social outcomes through cognitive processes such as inhibitory control. Thus, the purpose of this study was to examine whether gains in motor skills were associated with prosocial behaviors indirectly through improvements in inhibitory control. Background: Cannabidiol (CBD), a non-psychoactive compound derived from Cannabis sativa, exhibits therapeutic potential for various conditions, including inflammation, pain, and skin disorders, making it a promising candidate for the topical treatment of psoriasis. However, its poor water solubility and instability limit its therapeutic efficacy. This study focuses on the development and characterization of CBD-loaded nanoemulsions using argan oil as the lipid phase, with and without a chitosan coating, which serves as a stabilizing and functional biopolymer. The settling and deposition behavior of small particles significantly impacts many environmental and industrial processes. Although particle settling dynamics within turbulent environments have been extensively studied through theory and simulation, more experimental investigation is needed to test the idealized results against real-world turbulent flows. In this work, we infer the settling velocity of particles in Rayleigh–Bénard (RB) turbulence through the measurement of declines in particle concentration due to deposition within a (Formula presented.) convection chamber. We introduce a framework for repurposing error estimators for source problems to compute an estimator for the gap between eigenspaces and their discretizations. Of interest are eigenspaces of finite clusters of eigenvalues of unbounded nonselfadjoint linear operators with compact resolvent. Eigenspaces and eigenvalues of rational functions of such operators are studied as a first step. Under an assumption of convergence of resolvent approximations in the operator norm and an assumption on global reliability of source problem error estimators, we show that the gap in eigenspace approximations can be bounded by a globally reliable and computable error estimator. Policy innovation labs (PILs) are established globally to address complex public challenges. PILS are distinguished by their focus on fostering innovation, promoting collaborative co-design, and engaging in experimentation. The current literature highlights structural characteristics that define PILs, such as their source of funding, their autonomy from government agencies, and the tools that are utilized. This paper provides a dynamic perspective by focusing on the institutional logics of PILs, which are socially constructed patterns of symbols, practices, values, and beliefs that guide decision-making and shape organizational behavior. Context: Acute neck and low back pain are common emergency department (ED) presentations, generally treated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) is a hands-on treatment modality utilized to treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

Objectives: We sought to evaluate the relative efficacies and side effects of hands-on OMT vs. one dose of oral ibuprofen, in the treatment of adult patients presenting with acute neck or back pain.

Infants and toddlers develop socially and emotionally at different rates, and children with special needs face added challenges that require intentional support. Social-emotional learning (SEL) in the earliest years builds the foundation for school readiness, relationships, and lifelong success. This qualitative case study explored how infant and toddler teachers individualize SEL for children with special needs in one inclusive, culturally diverse early childhood program. Four teachers participated through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and a focus group. Program documents and lesson plans supplemented the data. There is a large body of research examining women’s fertility decision-making. Yet this work rarely considers how women’s experiences with reproductive health conditions may be linked to their fertility goals, a problematic oversight given the growing emphases on reproductive careers and childbearing biographies that highlight the need to take a life course approach to fertility. Using the 2015–2019 National Survey of Family Growth (N = 8867), this paper examines how reproductive health conditions are associated with women’s fertility goals among women who are not surgically sterile or meet the medical definition of infertility. Optimization Of Image Quality Of Simulated Multiple Detectors Computed Tomography Acquisition Parameters Using Machine Learning And Catphan Phantom, Ali O. Masoud, Najat K. Mohammed, Khamis O. Amour, Ahmed M. Jusabani, Denise Mwalongo, Mwingereza John Kumwenda

The study successfully employed Monte Carlo (MC) simulation and a Machine Learning (ML) approach using a Random Forest Regression (RFR) model to develop optimized Multi-Detector CT (MDCT) protocols that significantly reduce radiation dose while maintaining diagnostic image quality. The MC engine accurately modeled X-ray spectra, and the RFR model demonstrated high predictive power for key metrics, achieving R2 scores of 0.97 for CTDIvol and over 0.92 for image quality metrics (Noise, CNR). Through multi-objective optimization guided by the RFR, the final protocol (Optimization-3) was found on the Pareto front, achieving a notable 35% dose reduction (from 15.5 mGy to 9.9 …

This qualitative case study examined how interactions between part-time African American male students and their advisors in a one-stop enrollment center motivated them to persist. Guided by Wood and Harris’s Socio-Ecological Outcomes (SEO) model, the study focused on the non-cognitive, academic, environmental, and campus ethos domains to explore how advising relationships support both advisors and part-time African American male student success. Data collection included observations of six advisor–advisee pairs across three campuses and interviews with both advisors and students. This study investigated the crystallization behavior of dextromethorphan hydrobromide, a class II drug, to improve understanding of its supersaturation potential and formulation design. Conventional methods often lack the sensitivity or scalability needed for accurate detection of early nucleation events. To overcome these limitations, a novel process tracks real-time absorbance below turbidity levels to detect early molecular aggregation and phase separation. Two-component systems (TCS) are widespread signal transduction pathways that enable bacteria to sense and respond to environmental changes with precision. TCS are fundamentally important to prokaryotes because they provide a rapid and efficient means of converting environmental stimuli into coordinated cellular responses. Unlike eukaryotes, which rely on multilayered signaling cascades and compartmentalized organelles, bacteria must interpret and react to changing conditions directly at the cell envelope. TCS allow prokaryotes to detect shifts in nutrients, osmolarity, pH, redox status, host-derived antimicrobials or competing microbes. Construction of infrastructure in cold regions poses a significant challenge, particularly due to permafrost degradation, which can lead to significant structural damage and deterioration to facilities and transportation systems. In recent years, the issue of geophysical hazard detection has been instrumental in minimizing ground subsidence risks when con- structing infrastructure in cold regions.
