Abstract

This paper examines professional development of cataloguers in electronic era in academic library in selected private universities, Osun state. The research was necessitated by the postulation that cataloguers competency depend on their professional development. Two research questions were drawn and the population of the study was made up of 8 cataloguers. Data was collected through questionnaire. The descriptive survey research method was adopted in the study. Findings revealed that cataloguers are faced with lack of organizational sponsorship to conference, seminar and workshop; it was shown that, they have challenges on the job training. – Infrared thermography (IRT) has been used to assess skin temperature (Tsk), especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, as an important tool in medical screening not only of the general population, but also of young athletes. However, the subcutaneous adipose tissue can act as an insulator when the Tsk is assessed by IRT, modifying the normal Tsk data and leading to their misinterpretation. The Urban Heat Island (UHI) Mapping Campaign in Spokane, WA was conducted in collaboration with the CAPA Heat Watch program, National Integrated Heat Health Information System, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA’s) Climate Program Office, Gonzaga University’s Center for Climate, Society, and the Environment, and local volunteers. The purpose of the community science campaign was to determine where urban heat is concentrated in Spokane and the severity of the urban heat islands in our community. The UHI Campaign took place on July 16th, 2022 covering all 69.5 mi² of Spokane, collecting 43,988 measurements with the help of 40 volunteers. …

A solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) growth model is developed in a mixed mode that contains solvent diffusion through the SEI layer and corresponding solvent reduction kinetics at the SEI/electrode interface. The governing equations are solved by the Landau transformation, which makes the moving layer fixed to predict the open circuit potential, SEI layer thickness, and capacity loss. The estimated parameters fitted with experimental data from the literature are computed using COMSOL and MATLAB. Results show that the mixed mode model predicts lower capacity loss and thinner SEI layer due to its growth under open circuit conditions than previously reported by …
