Greenleaf’s foundational work on servant leadership has evolved considerably over the past 50 years. Servant leadership has been found to have positive outcomes on group and organisational effectiveness. While servant leadership characteristics and outcomes have been measured, is a need to be better understand how servant leaders navigate when they disagree. Using a social and cultural analysis, the conflict between Paul and Barnabas is explored. Social and cultural analysis allows interpreters to understand what the characters in the narrative ‘see and hear.’ The analysis of Acts 15:36–41 yielded three emerging themes related to how these servant leaders navigated conflict: (1) …

CHICAGO (Sept. 14, 2022) —Today, NORC at the University of Chicago, East Tennessee State University (ETSU), and the Fletcher Group, Inc. released a mapping tool that enables users to measure the strength of substance use recovery ecosystems for every county in the United States and explore associations with overdose deaths and other sociodemographic and economic factors. The term “recovery ecosystem” is used to describe the factors in a community that support individuals in recovery from substance use disorder.

Of each of the Big-Five personality traits, neuroticism is most strongly associated with poor relationship outcomes. Prior research has established a robust negative association between neuroticism and relationship quality, regardless of participant age, length of relationship, and country of origin. As so much has already been studied on the topic of neuroticism and relationship quality, the current study explores the association between neuroticism and relationship using meta-analytic methodology, and details whether Hill's seven criteria for causation have been met in the current literature thus far. Objective:This study focused on improving comprehensive utilization rate of ziziphi spinosae semen resources. Methods:With the ultrasonic power, ultrasonic time, solid-liquid ratio, ethanol volume fraction and ultrasonic temperature as the influencing factors, and the extraction rate of isovitexin-glucopyranoside in ziziphi spinosae semen as the index, the extraction process parameters of isovitexin-glucopyranoside were optimized by response surface methodology. Results: The optimal extraction conditions of isovitexin-glucopyranoside were ultrasonic power 405 W, ultrasonic time 60 min, solid-liquid ratio 1∶16 (g/mL) and ethanol volume fraction 75%. Green Banking Practices: The Impact Of Internet Banking On Bank Profitability In Egypt, Rania Pasha, Bassel Elbages

This is the first study to use a quantitative approach in examining the impact of internet banking implementation as a green banking practice on bank profitability in Egypt. Moreover, it is the first global study to differentiate the impact between basic and advanced transactional internet banking on bank profitability. A total of 20 banks operating in Egypt were sampled over two time periods: 2009–2018 and 2014–2018. Random effects generalized least squares (GLS) regression analysis and nonparametric analysis were used. The Role Of Leadership In Effective Implementation Of Quality Assurance Mechanisms In Higher Education: An Exploratory Case Study From Pakistan, Sohail Ahmad, Afaq Ahmed

Purpose: This study aims to explore whether and how leaders’ attributes, understanding of and attitude towards quality assurance (QA) shape their practices towards effective implementation of QA in universities.
Design/methodology/approach: Using qualitative case study, the data were collected from nine institutional leaders purposively selected from two universities. The data, collected through semi-structured interviews, were analysed using thematic analysis technique.
Findings: The findings revealed that personal attributes of leaders such as understanding of QA, attitude towards QA and practices shape leadership style either as transformational or compliance leader.
