Xai Analysis Of Online Activism To Capture Integration In Irish Society Through Twitter, Arjumand Younus, Muhammad Atif Qureshi, Mingyeong Jeon, Arefeh Kazemi, Simon Caton
Books/Book Chapters
Online activism over Twitter has assumed a multidimensional nature, especially in societies with abundant multicultural identities. In this paper, we pursue a case study of Ireland’s Twitter landscape and specifically migrant and native activists on this platform. We aim to capture the level to which immigrants are integrated into Irish society and study the similarities and differences between their characteristic patterns by delving into the features that play a significant role in classifying a Twitterer as a migrant or a native. A study such as ours can provide a window into the level of integration and harmony in society.

Background
The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in substantial disruptions to daily functioning and lifestyle behaviours, with negative health consequences for youth. Parents play a large role in their children's health behaviour; yet changes to parenting behaviours during the pandemic related to food and physical activity remain relatively unexplored. The present study is the first to our knowledge to examine specific changes in American parents' parenting behaviours related to food and physical activity during COVID-19, and potential correlates of such changes, including perceived stress and decision fatigue.
Methods
A total of 140 parents (88.57% female; 88.41% White; 87.59% married; with one …

This paper examines the establishment of a feminist academic organization, GENMAC (Gender, Markets, and Consumers; genmac.co), serving gender scholars in business schools and related fields. In so doing, it builds on the emerging literature of feminist academic organizations, as situated within feminist organizational studies (FOS). Through a feminist case study and by assessing the reflections of GENMAC's board members, we tell the story of the emergence of GENMAC and detail the tensions the organization encountered as it formally established itself as a feminist organization within the confines of a business school setting, a patriarchal system, and a neoliberal university paradigm. …

Effects Of Depth And Cover Crop Treatment On The Functioning And Diversity Of Soil Microbial Communities, Emily N. Hansen
Effects Of Depth And Cover Crop Treatment On The Functioning And Diversity Of Soil Microbial Communities, Emily N. Hansen
Theses and Dissertations
Globally, agriculture is strained by the unpredictable effects of climate change, as well as flooding, drought, erosion, and decreases in soil fertility. To meet these challenges, agricultural systems must develop new techniques while promoting sustainable intensification practices. Cover crops can provide farmers with an off-season cash crop, while also positively impacting the soil and reducing reliance on less sustainable conventional farming practices. The objective of this research was to evaluate the impact of different cover crops on soil microbial communities at varying depths. Soils were sampled in the fall and spring from experimental plots (ISU Farm, Lexington, IL) that contained …
