A system detects semantic leakage of contextual information in a prompt to a large language model (LLM) by extracting, in parallel from a reference context and a user input, a cosine similarity signal from multilingual sentence embeddings, an entity overlap signal from extracted named entities, and a number match signal from extracted numerical patterns. Fusion weights are selected from a plurality of language-tier weight profiles based on a detected language of the user input, and a fused score is computed as a weighted combination of the signals. Vehicle HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems rely on solar load sensing to bias cabin cooling and maintain occupant thermal comfort. Conventional implementations use a single dash-mounted sunload sensor to estimate an aggregate solar heat load across the entire cabin, applying a uniform or, at best, a fixed left/right cooling bias. This approach does not account for the vehicle's actual heading relative to the sun, transient shading events, or differences in glass geometry and tint across occupant zones. Microparticle additives containing both Al fuel and oxidizer, fabricated by arrested reactive milling (ARM), could potentially increase the power of energetic materials such as HMX because they contain premixed fuel and oxidizer. Optimizing shock reactivity requires exploring a vast parametric space encompassing composition, milling parameters that govern microstructural features such as intraparticle voids and fuel-oxidizer mixing, and the resulting inhomogeneous shock reactivity of individual particles. Student engagement in developing open educational resources (OER; openly licensed materials without fees to access) may be critically important for sustainable higher education and for developing important skills. There has been substantial debate about the use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) for the sustainability of OER, but little empirical inquiry. In this quasi-experimental study in the United States, two sections of college students (N = 113) collaborated with their instructor to improve the sources cited in an OER textbook. This paper shows that the classic Mundlak (1978) result where the random effects estimator reduces to the fixed effects estimator when the regressors are all correlated with the individual effects, may not hold if the remainder disturbances have a general serial correlation variance-covariance matrix. This includes the popular AR(1), MA(1) and ARMA(p, q) processes for serial correlation. This is illustrated with an empirical example for the AR(1) case.

Do elections aggregate the private information of office-motivated candidates? Our answer stems from a general result for two-player constant-sum Bayesian games with type-independent payoffs. Under a “completeness” statistical condition, every “identifiable” equilibrium is an ex-post equilibrium. Applied to Downsian elections, the ex-post property implies a sharp bound on information aggregation: equilibrium voter welfare is at best equal to the efficient use of a single candidate’s information. In canonical specifications, politicians may “anti-pander” (overreact to their information), whereas some degree of pandering would be socially beneficial. We discuss other applications of the ex-post result.

Objectives: The bidirectional Glenn (BDG) procedure, a key palliative intervention for single-ventricle physiology, is conventionally performed using cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) despite its associated complications and costs. However, the comparative impact of CPB versus off-pump techniques on perioperative safety, neurological risk and long-term outcomes remains controversial. Therefore, this meta-analysis aimed to determine whether performing the BDG procedure without CPB improves perioperative outcomes (including morbidity, mortality, and neurological events), resource utilisation, and long-term survival compared to the conventional on-pump approach. This dataset accompanies a peer-reviewed publication. The effect of three commonly used preparation protocols on bone collagen d2H and d18O values was investigated, using six generally well-preserved faunal bones (cattle, bison, horse) ranging in age from the Holocene to Late Pleistocene. The treatments tested were ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid demineralization without gelatinization and hydrochloric acid demineralization with and without gelatinization. There were small d2H changes noted by method; however, given the expected water isotopic variation among labs this should be an insignificant source of inter-lab variation.

Aim: To advance understanding of paternal perinatal mental health through the integration of qualitative evidence, mid-range theory, and conceptual framework development.

Background: Existing scholarship largely emphasizes prevalence and symptom identification of paternal post partum depression, with limited integration of fathers lived experiences into theory development and assessment frameworks, and mental health nursing practice. This article describes a student-centered and game-based redesign of an Elementary Differential Equations course taught during a six-week summer session. In this compressed setting, students had to move through the standard course content quickly while still developing procedural fluency, conceptual understanding, and confidence with applications. To support these goals, the course used real-time feedback tools, collaborative problem solving, applications connected to students' fields, and mathematical games. Employee turnover remains a persistent challenge in the U.S. poultry processing industry. Leaders in the U.S. poultry processing industry are concerned that high employee turnover increases operating costs, disrupts productivity, and contributes to workforce instability. Grounded in organizational support theory, this qualitative pragmatic inquiry research project explored successful strategies that leaders in the U.S. poultry processing industry use to enhance employee retention. The participants were six leaders from poultry processing facilities in the southeastern United States.
