The tenant initiated an HP proceeding alleging harassment and seeking correction of violations, which the Civil Court dismissed after a nonjury trial, determining that the incidents did not constitute harassment and the tenant's actions contributed to the hostile environment. The Appellate Term affirmed this final judgment, emphasizing that substantial deference is owed to the trial court's credibility findings and that the Civil Court's determination was adequately supported by the record. The appellate court found no basis to disturb the lower court's dismissal of the tenant's petition.

All Decisions
In this illegal lockout proceeding (RPAPL § 713[10]), the Appellate Term affirmed a judgment of possession awarded to the tenant after a nonjury trial. The trial court found that the tenant was, at the very least, a constructive tenant of the premises, a determination supported by leases and DHCR records. The Appellate Term held that the trial court's factual findings regarding constructive possession should not be disturbed on appeal unless its conclusions could not be reached under any fair interpretation of the evidence, giving substantial deference to the trier of fact's credibility determinations.

‘Animal’ exploitation is not a new phenomenon. Whilst categorising ‘animals’ by broader groups rather than species helps us understand their experiences, our language still limits our ability to capture the nuances of their treatment. Dogs appointed as domesticated companions are subjected to a variety of experiences. Some are fed gourmet meals and taken to privately rented parks; and others suffer from the consequences of impulsive purchasing and physical abuse. This diversity in treatment is significantly determined by the intentions of the dog’s breeder and consumer. With the continued growth of the biopharmaceutical industry, the demand for scalable, robust, and resource-efficient platforms for large-scale mammalian cell culture is amplified. Recent developments in microfluidic technology, such as precise control of the microenvironment, showed the potential to improve the performance of cell culture systems. However, constrained by scalability and operational efficiency, applying such approaches to large-scale cell culture and biopharmaceutical production presents challenges. This dissertation addresses these challenges through three independent but conceptually related technological developments. Background: Current research on physician burnout is limited in rural communities and physicians caring for the medically underserved. This study aimed to create an instrument to quantify the rate of physician burnout during the COVID-19 pandemic and identify effective coping interventions in an underserved mixed rural-urban region along the Texas-Mexico border.
Methods: We conducted a regional study in a sample of US physicians using a structured questionnaire developed by a multidisciplinary group. Teacher collaboration can be a powerful but challenging practice for K-12 educators. This is particularly true in the context of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) education, in which disciplines are integrated through innovative, student-centered teaching strategies. A sequential explanatory mixed-methods approach was employed to understand the impacts of a 5-year STEAM professional development program on K-12 teachers’ collaboration efforts. Using quantitative and qualitative methods and social network analysis (SNA), the study explored the nature of STEAM collaboration and identified aspects that supported and hindered successful collaboration. This study examines how integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, specifically ChatGPT, into teacher education can enhance culturally responsive teaching (CRT) in STEM education. AI's potential to support lesson planning, streamline administrative tasks, and offer personalized learning paths is explored alongside its challenges, such as ethical concerns and contextual adaptation. The study involved pre-service elementary teachers who used AI modules to design CRT-aligned STEM lessons, reflecting on their experiences through surveys and journals. This study examined the instructional strategies used by high school STEM teachers to incorporate real-world problem solving in their classroom teaching. A qualitative approach was utilized, and data was collected through teacher interviews, classroom observations, and documents. To engage elementary learners in the complex task of STEM sensemaking, teachers must entice and inspire learners to ask questions, explore, and communicate their findings. This article shares a 5E/3D lesson designed and taught in our elementary science methods courses to model how preservice teachers can integrate literacy and mathematics into a science investigation for STEM sensemaking. We modified a traditional lesson on bird beak adaptations to have a differentiated, interdisciplinary writing component justified by data. Introduction: The Female Athlete Triad poses short- and long-term health risks for female athletes through the interrelated components of low energy availability, menstrual dysfunction, and impaired bone health. Despite its prevalence, awareness and education surrounding the Triad remain limited, contributing to delayed recognition and care. The objective of this project was to assess baseline knowledge and comfort discussing Female Athlete Triad–related topics among Division I female athletes and to evaluate the impact of a brief educational intervention on knowledge, attitudes, and help-seeking intentions.

This study examined the nonparametric item response characteristics of the Teacher Formative Assessment Practice Scale (TFAPS) using Mokken scale analysis within its established two‑factor structure. The TFAPS includes a teacher‑directed subscale (items 1–6) and a student‑directed subscale (items 7–10), each intended to capture distinct dimensions of formative assessment practice. Weighted Loevinger scalability coefficients for polytomous items were computed to assess how well each subscale met the assumptions of the monotone homogeneity model. Results indicated that the teacher‑directed subscale had a scalability coefficient of H = 0.354 and Cronbach’s alpha of 0.721, suggesting weak but acceptable internal structure. In contrast, the …

Current Large Language Model (LLM) orchestration frameworks cannot cryptographically prove which end-client generated a request, trace, memory update, or provenance entry. A novel methodology is presented for enhancing the precision of machine learning models utilized in high-stakes domains, specifically systems for defense against malicious advertising activities (AdSpam defense). This approach addresses the substantial challenges posed by noisy and incomplete positive training labels common in real-world datasets. By systematically refining the positive label set, the methodology focuses on identifying and retaining only the most reliable and consistently represented spam patterns. An internal test fixture and method for evaluating wear resistance of vehicle interior trim components subjected to repeated elbow contact are disclosed. The fixture comprises a single pneumatic actuator coupled with a modular load applicator configured to deliver predefined normal loads, and an electronic control system based on a programmable microcontroller. The system enables reciprocating motion of a contact element over a test specimen to simulate customer interaction under controlled conditions.
