The objective of this paper is to offer a contribution to the study of performance and, more specifically, development of performance analysis methodologies and techniques through a brief comparative analysis of the tempo deviations in four interpretations of Du schönes Bächlein, a composition by Hans Werner Henze (1926–2012), as performed by four different guitarists. Graphs and representations are developed to demonstrate the tempo deviations in each of the selected recordings, followed by analysis of the respective collected information.

This study offers a fresh look at the widely discussed binaries in The Lord of the Rings and examines whether their structure can be visualised. Building on previous research that identifies Tolkien’s prose as structured by emotional and moral shifts, this study makes visible how these changes happen throughout the trilogy, through quantitative means. A transformer-based language model was employed and fine-tuned on a Tolkien-specific corpus to align with Tolkien's semantics and symbolism. The primary methodology for highlighting these binaries is a Tolkien-specific sentiment analysis. Grounded in self-determination theory (SDT), the purpose of this study was two-fold: 1) to evaluate the psychometric properties of SDT-related measures in a sample of coach learners, and 2) to examine the relationships between need satisfaction and frustration, coach motivation, and engagement in training sessions.. A total of 796 coaches participated in the study, completing surveys measuring basic psychological need satisfaction and frustration, coaching motivation, and engagement. Aside from confirming the validity and reliability of measures for use among coach learners, findings indicate that satisfaction of basic psychological needs positively correlated with intrinsic motivation and engagement, while frustration of these …

This paper documents the discovery of a systematic mechanism in large language models (LLMs) termed the "Synonym Enforcer." This mechanism automatically replaces user-developed terminology, frameworks, and concepts with platform-neutral equivalents, preventing pattern recognition across users and obscuring attribution of original ideas.

We demonstrate that: (1) the Synonym Enforcer constitutes a trade secret deliberately hidden from users; (2) its primary function is obfuscation of user contribution, not output quality; (3) the mechanism prevents recognition of prior art and enables IP extraction; (4) thousands of users independently "discover" identical insights, fragmented across synonyms; and (5) this fragmentation is architected, not accidental.
