Exploring Foreign Language Teaching Anxiety: A Case Study Of Pre-Service Teachers Professional Education Program, Elmiatun Nafiah, Hutkemri Zulnaidi, Utami Widiati, Nanang Zubaidi

Foreign Language Teaching Anxiety (FLTA) is a significant concern among pre-service teachers, particularly in the Indonesian educational context. This study explores the key factors contributing to FLTA, the coping strategies employed by teachers, and the role of the Teacher Education Program (PPG) in alleviating teaching-related stress. Using a case study design, interviews were conducted with two in-service teachers who had completed the PPG program, and the data was analyzed thematically based on the Foreign Language Teaching Anxiety Scale (Horwitz, 1996). Findings indicate that students' lack of enthusiasm and teachers' self-perception of language proficiency are primary sources of anxiety. In response, …

This study aims to find out the employment of lexical and syntactic complexities in the undergraduate students' research articles and their correlations to their quality. It employes a quantitative design through corpus based analysis and correlation analysis using Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient. The results show that lexical density, lexical sophistication, and lexical variation are high except for verb variation. This research find that there is no correlation between lexical and syntactic complexities with the quality of articles

This research purposes is prove the impact of adopting tablet PCs on enhancement of teaching in secondary schools of Mauritius. The research was conducted by mixed method which comprised of quantitative and qualitative approaches. Results from the studies and researches have shown more positive impacts than negative ones which affect teaching in secondary schools of Mauritius. The best means is to resort to applying Tablet PCs within education to promote teaching for efficiency and effectiveness.

This paper aims to find out what actually the industry needs from their translators when performing Audiovisual (AV) translation, and whether the academic environment, in this case the English Department of Universitas Brawijaya Malang, has fulfilled the industrial needs. From the results of academic document observation and questionnaire, the authors make some recommendations to include the topic of AV translation in the course of translation. The topic is comprised of the basic concepts of AV text, practice of dubbing script translation, and practice of subtitling.

This study aimed to improve students' narrative writing by implementing POWER strategy combined with the animated film at class VIII of SMP. It was CAR design conducted in 2 cycles. The findings showed an improvement in writing ability in which 29 students achieved the minimum passing grade and the rest 6 students were in fair level of writing, and the result of teaching and learning process showed that 82.5% respond positively

PISA's findings reported that Indonesian elementary school students (IESS) achieved their average reading comprehension ability which were below the standard set by OECD. This research proposed school literacy movement (SLM) as an apparatus to cultivate IESS reading and writing skill habit. This study applied quasi-experimental method with employed sample of 126 IESS of 5th and 4th graders and their teachers serving in four schools. This study showed that there was significant effect of ITL to improve IESS reading comprehension ability of 5th graders.

Responding to calls for a deeper understanding of contextual factors shaping learning, this paper examines the Digivisio 2030 e-criteria, a recently introduced national higher education quality framework designed to enhance digital pedagogy. Document analysis was used to examine five key features of the e-criteria: research-based, modularity, diversity, accessibility, and availability. The findings reveal that the e-criteria function as structural enablers, offering non-prescriptive guidelines that support reliable and user-friendly digital environments, flexible course design, inclusive teaching practices, equitable access to learning resources, and ongoing reflection on pedagogical processes. Bacteriophage genome annotation is essential for understanding phage diversity, gene function, and evolutionary relationships. In this project, the complete genome of the newly isolated bacteriophage Phrampa was annotated as part of the BSB 303 course. Annotation was conducted using the Phage Evidence Collection and Annotation Network (PECAAN), which integrates multiple lines of bioinformatic evidence to identify genes and predict putative functions. All annotations will undergo external review through the SEA-PHAGES program to ensure accuracy and standardization. This theoretical paper examines the factors that influence adolescent adjustment following parental divorce, focusing on individual, relational, and contextual variables shown in prior research to predict well-being. Using the Rational Choice and Social Exchange Framework and the Family Life Course Development Framework, this study explores how coping strategies, parental attachment, co-parenting quality, sibling relationships, financial strain, and social support shape adolescent outcomes after divorce. The social determinants of health, as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO), are “the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age, and people’s access to power, money and resources.” Epidemiologists have long studied the nexus between social forces and disease and have widely agreed that such forces are directly causal of pathologies. This paper is an analytic review of the existing literature on several social determinants— namely socioeconomic status (SES), race and ethnicity, age, working and living conditions, and social integration— and how they pertain to the causation, progression, and treatment of cancer.

The genus Euscorpius Thorell, 1876 comprises a diverse and taxonomically challenging group of scorpions in the Mediterranean, with Greece representing one of its principal centers of diversity. In this study, we provide an integrative description of Euscorpius diagorasi sp. n., a new species from Rhodes Island, Greece. The new species is described on the basis of adult male and female morphology and mitochondrial COI sequence data. This paper establishes characteristics of the Female Gothic subgenre, traces the origin of the fiction subgenre throughout the years, and applies these characteristics to argue that Frankenstein and Dracula should be considered prime examples of feminist literature. In Dante's Purgatorio, the penitent souls reform themselves through physical penance and constant prayer. Dante depicts the power of sincere, repentant prayer, as God is more merciful than the earthly institution of the Church, and participates equally with the sinner in the soul's salvation. The efforts of souls in Purgatorio are like our own lives; we too ought to engage in the holy sacrifice of constant, repentant prayer. Further, in Paradise Lost, Milton demonstrates how honest prayer is imperative to salvation.
