Caring for individuals with dementia is associated with an increased mental strain, stress, anxiety, and depression. This paper explores mental health issues that can derive from caring for people living with dementia. Dementia is a highly progressive condition that impacts cognition and behavior, which affects both the individual and caregiver. While caregiving provides meaningful skills and a strong meaning to life, it also presents unpredictability and emotional distress. Increased tablet time and sedentary behavior is becoming common for young children. This paper examines the effect of four categories of movement including screen based sedentary behavior, non-screen based sedentary behavior, light physical activity, and moderate to rigorous physical activity, as well as the effects of motor ability on cognitive development.

Stunting is a chronic condition that has a significant impact on child development. This phenomenon is primarily caused by prolonged nutritional deficiency, especially during the first 1,000 days of life. In addition, as family factors also play a crucial role in children’s development, this study aims to analyze the influence of child and family characteristics, mother–child attachment, parenting practices, and the nutritional status of children (stunted/non-stunted) on children’s gross motor, fine motor, language, and personal–social skills. Staff Education To Improve Mental Health Access For Underserved Populations Through Telehealth, Kafayat Olabisi Oluwole

This staff education doctoral project evaluated whether structured telehealth training improves psychiatric nurses’ knowledge in delivering care to underserved populations. A gap in practice was identified, as many psychiatric nurses lacked formal training in providing culturally competent and effective virtual mental health services. Guided by the ADDIE model and the Johns Hopkins evidence-based practice framework, a structured educational intervention was implemented with 25 psychiatric nurses. Participants completed pre- and posttests to assess knowledge gained. Results demonstrated an increase in mean scores from 62.8% to 77.4%, reflecting a 14.6% improvement. A paired t test indicated statistical significance (p < .05), confirming the effectiveness of the intervention. These findings suggest that targeted telehealth education enhances psychiatric nurses’ readiness to deliver high-quality, culturally responsive care. This project supports positive social change by improving access to equitable mental health services for underserved populations.

The issue of driving under the influence (DUI) is a continuous problem in rural communities, especial those in Indian Country. Alcohol use and abuse has long been a health concern for these communities contributing to higher mortality rates and increased incarceration rates for American Indian / Alaskan Native (AIAN) populations. Wellness courts, using the problem-solving court model, have been successful in helping DUI offenders achieve sobriety and wellness. While nursing shortages are increasing and nurses are reporting higher rates of burnout and job-related stress, it is critical that educators in pre-licensure nursing programs identify strategies to better prepare novice nurses for entering the workforce. OBJECTIVES: There is debate regarding the optimal choice for a second conduit in coronary artery bypass grafting. The right internal mammary artery (RIMA) is commonly employed as a second conduit; however, it is unclear whether the free (fRIMA) or in situ (isRIMA) configuration yields superior outcomes. We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to compare clinical outcomes between fRIMA and isRIMA as the second conduit.

We propose and analyze an eco-epidemiological predator–prey model that incorporates self-limitation and disease transmission within the predator population. The model is formulated as a system of ordinary differential equations describing logistic prey growth under the interspecific interaction with the predator. On the other hand, the predator population is divided into susceptible and infected classes, whose growth is constrained by prey availability. Three biologically relevant equilibria are identified: predator extinction, disease-free coexistence, and coexistence with endemic disease. Various infectious diseases, such as Tuberculosis and Hepatitis B virus (HBV), caused by Mycobacterium bacteria and hepatitis B virus, respectively, pose serious threats worldwide. This paper examines the spread of these diseases using a mathematical model that incorporates control measures, including vaccination and awareness programs. We use a system of differential equations with control variables and apply Pontryagin's principle to determine optimal control strategies. Asian countries face the dual challenge of fulfilling ambitious climate commitments under the Paris Agreement while simultaneously advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study develops an integrated analytical framework that links decarbonization pathways with SDG indicators across energy, air quality, health, and the food-water-land nexus, as well as policy cost-effectiveness, explicitly incorporating national circumstances. Our findings indicate that current climate pledges primarily deliver gains in SDG indicators related to energy and air quality. Achieving broader progress across other SDG dimensions requires combining more ambitious climate targets with diverse, sustainability-oriented mitigation measures tailored to domestic contexts. There is a burgeoning literature arguing that addressing grand challenges, such as de-globalization, requires a set of complementary actors to build innovation ecosystems (IE), which are also strategically integrated into the national innovation system (NIS). We conceptualize this specific systemic phenomenon as a new type of IE—NIS-catalysed IE—whose sustainable growth is said to be constantly hindered by dependent yet opposing tensions. High-tech entrepreneurship plays a central role in shaping regional innovation ecosystems, yet the mechanisms through which it affects innovation in incumbent firms remain underexplored. Using firm-level data from the Zhongguancun Science Park (2005–2015), this study investigates the impact of high-tech entrepreneurship on incumbent firms’ innovation. The results reveal that high-tech entrepreneurship significantly enhances innovation among incumbent firms, primarily through R&D investment and human capital. Moreover, this effect is stronger in the electronic information industry and during the development stage. This paper examines the dynamic impact of geopolitical risk on short-term capital flows using a time-varying parameter vector autoregression (TVP-VAR) model and analyzes the transmission mechanism through interest rate differentials and exchange rate expectations. The findings indicate that geopolitical risk is a significant driver of short-term capital flows in China, with increased geopolitical risk leading to short-term cross-border capital outflows. Impulse response analysis across different time points indicates that financial opening-up policies affect short-term capital flows, yet gradual financial opening-up has not significantly amplified the impact of geopolitical risk. Necrotizing fasciitis (NF) is a rare but life-threatening soft tissue infection characterized by rapid progression, systemic toxicity, and high mortality. While Group A Streptococcus is the most common pathogen, Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an uncommon cause, typically reported in immunocompromised patients.
We present the case of a 77-year-old male with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), chronic kidney disease, and other comorbidities who initially presented to an outside facility with three days of fever and left lower extremity pain. This paper investigates a class of nonlinear sequential singular fractional differential equations (FDEs) involving Caputo derivatives. This type of equation has several key advantages that enhance its value, such as capturing memory and hereditary effects. In this work, the fractal-fractional Atangana-Baleanu derivative with the Mittag-Leffler kernel is employed to capture the memory and hereditary effects inherent to anthropogenic cutaneous leishmaniasis transmission dynamics. The Banach fixed-point theorem and contraction mapping principle are used to prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions, while Hyers-Ulam stability of the system is analyzed to demonstrate the robustness of solutions with respect to small perturbations. Using a nonlinear least-squares approach, model parameters and fractional order are estimated using epidemiological data from the World Health Organization. We study the problem of data transmission from mobile platforms operating in high-speed transit between cellular base stations, under conditions of unstable and intermittent connectivity. Conventional queueing and connectivity models often fail to capture the combined effects of rapidly changing signal conditions, finite buffer capacity, and dynamic topology. We aim to develop a tractable yet expressive model that integrates stochastic link availability, queue dynamics, and buffer control. Mathematical Modelling and Numerical Simulation with Applications
The main objective of this work is to obtain exact soliton solutions for a nonlinear time-fractional equation model describing wave profiles arising in various physical systems. To derive different wave structures associated with the considered model, two analytical techniques are employed: the extended G'\G^2-expansion method and the modified auxiliary equation (MAE) approach. A wave transformation is applied to reduce the nonlinear time-fractional equation to a nonlinear ordinary differential equation (NLODE) by means of the M-truncated and Atangana-Baleanu (AB) fractional operators. Mathematical Modelling and Numerical Simulation with Applications
This study develops a mathematical model of Mpox transmission that combines stratified susceptibility (low-risk and high-risk groups) with vaccinated and asymptomatically infected compartments. The analysis of the model begins with examining the well-posedness, boundedness, and nonnegativity conditions for the solutions. The local stabilities of the equilibria are examined through the Jacobian matrix and phase plane analysis, while the global stabilities are provided through Lyapunov functions. The estimated parameters are verified using epidemiological data on Mpox cases in the United States, with an MAPE of 2.20% and R_0 > 1, indicating that Mpox remains endemic. In classical neutrosophic probability, the degrees of truth, indeterminacy, and falsity are considered static. However, real-world uncertainties evolve, and their degrees change as new information becomes available. NPTU models these uncertainties dynamically, allowing for more accurate decision-making in time-varying environments.
