Majorities in New Hampshire support several proposed changes to federal election laws, including requiring photo ID, requiring physical evidence of citizenship to register to vote, requiring states to set up programs to remove noncitizens from voter rolls, and requiring registration in person. Less than one-third of state residents believe the country is headed in the right direction.

This dissertation examines the development, implementation, and evaluation of Brass Routes, a curriculum-based model and set of instructional tools designed to help existing secondary school band programs implement New Orleans-style brass band ensembles within their current schedules, personnel, and resources. As many schools face declining arts funding and increasingly standardized ensemble models, traditional band structures often fail to engage all students or reflect diverse musical identities. Risky decision-making is a feature of mental health disorders such as substance use disorder and schizophrenia and is often linked to alterations in the brain’s cannabinoid system. However, how cannabinoid signaling regulates punishment-based risky decision-making remains unclear. To address this question, we assessed the effects of multiple cannabinoid drugs on risky decision-making in male and female Long-Evans rats using the Risky Decision-Making Task (RDT). Following training, rats received varying doses of Δ⁹-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC; CB1/CB2 receptor partial agonist), ACEA (CB1 receptor agonist), Rimonabant (CB1 receptor inverse agonist), and AA-5-HT (FAAH inhibitor that increases endocannabinoid tone). In functional voice disorders (FVD), voice dysfunction exists in excess or the absence of organic voice pathology. Modern etiologic frameworks emphasize cognitive, emotional, and autonomic processes in the onset and maintenance of symptoms, encapsulating FVD as a subtype of functional neurologic movement disorders (mFND). Despite extensive investigation into emotional aspects of FVD, cognitive aspects, notably attention, remain underexplored. Purpose

This study aimed to compare the immediate functional impact of wearing ankle foot orthoses (AFOs) designed using the Optimal Segment Kinematics and Alignment approach to Rehabilitation (OSKAR method) versus wearing standard ankle foot orthosis (AFO)-footwear in children with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy.

Methods

Ten participants, ages seven to 13 years, from local pediatric clinics in a large suburban area participated in the study. Each participant wore both types of orthoses in a randomized order. In March of 2014, the IRS issued guidance classifying cryptocurrency as property for most tax purposes, at a time when the total cryptocurrency market capitalization was roughly 6.5 billion dollars.  Over ten years later, that figure has grown to four trillion dollars.  While taxpayers can now purchase coffee at Starbucks with certain cryptocurrencies, such purchases trigger capital gains reporting, treating the transaction effectively as a taxable disposition of property, despite its economic function as a medium of exchange.  Although cryptocurrencies have gained prevalence in commerce and have even been briefly recognized as legal tender in some foreign jurisdictions, the IRS’s …

Exhaustion is known to impair cognitive functioning and performance, yet its effects on learning during video-based instruction among first responders and military service members remain underexplored. This study examined how mental, physical, and combined exhaustion independently influence learning outcomes and visual attention in a physically active sample drawn from military, public safety, and emergency service roles. Visual attention was measured utilizing eye tracking, focusing on fixation duration (FD) and fixation rate (FR). Participants completed instructional tasks under each exhaustion condition, allowing comparison of learning and gaze behavior across fatigue states. BACKGROUND: Pakistan's persistently high maternal (178 per 100 000 livebirths) and neonatal (41 per 1000 livebirths) mortality ratios are compounded by lack of reliable data on the root causes and preventable risk factors, which hinders their effective use in improving care and progress toward safe, high-quality services. Scholars have widely examined how electoral pressures influence the behavior of judges and prosecutors; however, less attention has been given to how elections affect law enforcement leaders. This quantitative study examined whether sheriff election cycles in Louisiana were associated with changes in law enforcement behavior. Louisiana parish sheriffs occupy a unique role as both elected officials and chief law enforcement executives, which may create incentives that influence enforcement priorities. Marital resilience during shared stressors remains insufficiently understood, particularly when both spouses are simultaneously affected by the same external stressor and must adapt together over time. The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study was to explore marital resilience through the lived experiences and perceptions of spousal support during shared stressors among individuals who had been legally married for 10 years or more, with specific attention to how participants described the shift from solo coping to dyadic coping over time. Motivated by recent advances in neutrosophic contra continuous functions, irresolute mappings, and n-cylindrical fuzzy neutrosophic topological structures, the study establishes several fundamental properties of n-cylindrical neutrosophic contra M-irresolute mappings. The proposed mappings are analyzed in relation to existing classes of neutrosophic contra continuous and contra irresolute functions, highlighting their structural properties and interrelationships. This study advances common fixed point theorems (CFPT) in bipolar fuzzy-2 metric space (BF2MS) and explores their applications in nonlinear analysis. BF2MS generalizes traditional metric and fuzzy metric spaces (FMS) by incorporating dualistic relationships, allowing the representation of both attraction and repulsion effects. We extend classical fixed point theorems (FPTs) to BF2MS, establishing conditions for the existence of common fixed points (CFPs). The study's applications span nonlinear analysis, stability analysis, control theory, and multi-criteria decision-making under uncertainty. Our findings refine existing results and provide practical real-world applications, supported by numerical examples, enhancing fuzzy mathematics and nonlinear systems modeling.

The variation in violent crime rates in the U.S. has been a persistent concern in the criminal justice system, notably homicides and offenses like murder and non-negligent manslaughter (NNM). Prior research has suggested that socioeconomic factors like poverty, firearm availability, population density, along with regional and cultural differences, could be a primary contributing factor to geographic disparities in violent crime rates. It is hypothesized that southern states will exhibit higher mean murder and NNM rates than those in western states. Medicinal plants are a rich source of bioactive compounds with therapeutic potential. Antioxidants play a critical role in combating oxidative stress associated with chronic diseases. The extration of these compounds depends on solvent polarity, affecting yield and composition. Acalypha wilkesiana provides an excellent model for such studies. This work presents an evaluation of phytochemical content and antioxidant activity of A. wilkesiana extracts obtained using solvents of varying polarity.

Photocaging involves inhibiting a molecule’s function with a photolabile protecting group (PPG), allowing for precise spatiotemporal control and release of the molecule in vivo. Photocages which respond to UV light upon single photon irradiation have limited use in vivo due to cytotoxicity. Thiocoumarin is a promising photocage which absorbs in the visible light region and can cage multiple essential neurotransmitters, such as GABA and glutamate. In addition, thiocoumarin can be easily tracked through live cells due to its persistent fluorescence throughout the caging process. In this project, GABA was utilized to explore the properties of thiocoumarin as a light-triggered photocage.

Adhesives from isocyanate polyurethanes have strong bonding properties yet pose serious health risks in both production and daily life. Kraft Lignin, a common organic waste, contains the functional groups that can make a renewable alternative and replace isocyanate’s role in adhesives. Our production plant will be placed in Rome, Georgia attached to an existing paper mill with competitive pricing of 26.47$/kg. Our three-step process proposes a sustainable approach to producing polyurethane adhesives without incorporating isocyanates.

• Human-AI teaming encompasses complexities, including shared knowledge, trust, interdependence, and effective communication that are essential for improvement of performance & decision-making, while poor integration of AI can create overreliance that hinders coordination [4, 7, 9, 10, 14].
