This study introduces Meta AI concept and a cloud-based framework that integrates a spatial detection and recognition model for sign language alphabet, and a spatiotemporal Transformer model for word-level SLR. Pakistan's freshwater bodies host significant fish species, but molecular identification is still in its infancy, necessitating the use of morphological and molecular DNA barcoding techniques. The study confirmed the species of the order Siluriformes found in the River Ravi, Pakistan, using DNA extracted from muscle tissue, sequenced for the COI gene, and obtained accession and Barcode Index Numbers from GenBank and BOLD databases. In the BLAST search, identities ranged from 99.23–100% and 99.52–100% in the GenBank and BOLD databases, respectively. The study revealed that the Kimura 2-Parameter genetic distance increased from lower to higher taxonomic levels: within species (0.00%) < within genus (15.17%) < within family (19.77%). The study estimated average nucleotide differences (104.964) and nucleotide diversity (0.16099) but found Tajima's neutrality test to be statistically insignificant. The neighbor-joining tree displayed closely linked species under a node, whereas divergent species were grouped under distinct nodes. The COI gene-based DNA barcoding aids in Pakistan's fish resource inventory, monitoring, and management, providing valuable input for traditional methods.

A 10-year-old female Pomeranian was referred after a hepatic cyst was incidentally identified during a routine health check. Ultrasound-guided simple drainage was initially performed, and cytological examination of the aspirated fluid confirmed a simple cyst. However, the cyst re-expanded to its original size within 2 weeks. Therefore, ultrasound-guided percutaneous sclerotherapy was elected using lower-concentration ethanol (83%), a readily available medical disinfectant, rather than conventional high-concentration ethanol. Approximately 50% of the aspirated volume was replaced with 83% ethanol and retained for 20 min to achieve effective epithelial ablation. Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD), caused by the PKD1 c.10063C>A mutation, is a prevalent inherited feline disorder, but its allele frequency in Vietnam remains unidentified. This study aimed to determine the carrier frequency of this variant in British Shorthair, Maine Coon, and Ragdoll cats in Ho Chi Minh City and to correlate genotype with ultrasonographic phenotype. Robotic-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy (RARP) is the predominant surgical approach for localized prostate cancer in the United States and over 50% of RARP are performed as ambulatory or same-day discharge encounters. Background: Pancreatic cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related death in the U.S., with a 5-year survival of 12.8%. Black patients experience higher incidence, later-stage diagnosis, and worse survival than other groups. Early-onset pancreatic cancer (EOPC, age < 50 years) represents 5–12% of cases and shows distinct features including male predominance, later presentation, and associations with smoking, obesity, and diabetes. Data on EOPC among Black patients remain limited. Given Detroit’s large Black population, this study characterizes clinical and demographic factors associated with EOPC to identify potential risk patterns.

Methods: A retrospective cohort study of pancreatic adenocarcinoma cases (October 2005– February 2025) was conducted using the Henry Ford Health REDCap database. Demographic, clinical, and biomarker data were extracted from electronic records. Statistical comparisons between groups were performed using chi-square, Fisher’s exact, or t-tests.

Background: Military personnel and veterans are at increased risk of lower-limb amputation, often due to combat-related trauma such as improvised explosive devices (IEDs), as well as secondary factors including tobacco use, peripheral artery disease, and diabetes. This study systematically reviews and compares lower-limb prosthetic technologies in military personnel and veterans, focusing on functional outcomes, mobility, and patient satisfaction.

Torn Anterior Cruciate Ligaments (ACLs) are common injuries for professional football players with significant impacts on future performance and career longevity. This study aimed to explore the quality of return to performance after ACL reconstruction in National Football League (NFL) players with fantasy football scores as an evaluative metric of recovery length, performance, and long-term outcomes.

Methods

We analyzed 200 NFL players who received ACL reconstruction surgery between 2005 and 2021. Players were evaluated based on pre- and post-injury fantasy scores, recovery time, and career length. Data were collected from public sources and performance was evaluated seasonally.

Background:
The KELIM score, derived from CA-125 kinetics, reflects intrinsic tumor chemosensitivity in ovarian cancer. This retrospective study evaluated whether KELIM predicts clinical outcomes in patients receiving bevacizumab in a real-world setting.

Methods:
Twenty-four patients with advanced ovarian cancer treated with platinum-based chemotherapy and bevacizumab at a tertiary center in Detroit, MI, were included. KELIM scores were calculated from CA-125 values during the first 100 treatment days (www.biomarker-kinetics.org) and classified as favorable (≥1.0) or unfavorable (< 1.0). Progression-free survival (PFS) was measured from diagnosis to recurrence, and overall survival (OS) from diagnosis to last contact or death. Surgical outcomes, debulking approach, PARP inhibitor use, and survival status were analyzed descriptively.

Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a cluster of conditions, including insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, central obesity, and hypertension,that raises the risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. Its prevalence is rising, especially among Haitian immigrants (HI), who face added risks from dietary acculturation and low health literacy. The KwenSante Radio Program (KSRP), launched in Haitian Creole in 2012, provides culturally tailored health education.
