UNLABELLED: Human papillomaviruses (HPVs) are a significant public health concern due to their widespread transmission, morbidity, and oncogenic potential. Despite efficacious vaccines, millions of unvaccinated individuals and those with existing infections will develop HPV-related diseases for the next two decades. The continuing burden of HPV-related diseases is exacerbated by the lack of effective therapies or cures for most infections, highlighting the need to identify and develop antivirals. The experimental murine papillomavirus type 1 (MmuPV1) model provides opportunities to study papillomavirus pathogenesis in cutaneous epithelium, the oral cavity, and the anogenital tract. Many studies have examined individual water-saving management practices for corn (Zea mays L.), but few studies have looked at how combinations of practices might further enhance water optimization. The research objectives of this paper were to evaluate the impact of irrigation technology, irrigation rate, and crop genetics, as well as their interactions, on silage corn yield and forage quality. Trials were conducted in three Utah locations from 2019 through 2021. The results from five site-years indicated that the best water optimization practices varied by site-year. The Biden Administration announced its support for the initiative at the World Trade Organization (WTO) to suspend patent rights protections for COVID-19 vaccines, in the hope of providing equitable and affordable access to the vaccines to low-income countries. Since then, domestic pharmaceutical companies have been voicing vociferous opposition, claiming that “[e]liminating IP protections undermines our global response to the pandemic and compromises safety.”2 Passing a patent waiver at the WTO means eligible member countries can opt to free themselves from the obligations to enforce qualifying patents, and anyone within those countries can accordingly practice the patents without infringement liability. Abstract

Purpose To analyze resident vitreoretinal procedure volume across Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited ophthalmology residency programs. We assessed the effect of the increase in intravitreal injections (IVI), geographic region, program size, and Veterans Affairs (VA) and vitreoretinal fellowship affiliation on vitreoretinal procedures.

Methods A request was sent to all residency programs in 2018 for their graduating residents' ACGME case logs. Vitreoretinal procedures were defined by ACGME case log categories and included vitreoretinal surgery, peripheral retinal lasers, and IVI. Procedures were categorized by Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code. Programs were studied by geographic region, program size, and …

The Casas Grandes region of northern Mexico is an understudied, though important, part of the culture area that has come to be known as the Northwest/Southwest (NW/SW). What studies have been conducted in the Casas Grandes region have focused on the Medio Period (approximately 1200-1450 AD) and the large site of Paquimé. Only a small amount of research has been conducted on the preceding Viejo Period (approximately 700-1200 AD). Epilepsy is a common neurological disorder affecting all age groups We sought to assess the longitudinal effect of antiepileptic drug on serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D], with recurrent attack of epileptic fits. The study consisted of two parallel, 1-year, prospective, randomized, dose-ranging trials conducted in two groups of ambulatory patients, for 46 patients based on clinical presentation of the patient together with confirmed diagnosis by EEG. Femicides: Gender Violence In Mexico, Maria Mendoza

The Agora

Femicide is a recurring topic in Mexican society due to the concerning rise of cases in past years. This research paper aims to discuss femicides and gender violence in Mexico as a systematic problem. To develop this text, various femicide cases are presented, as well as recounts of the author’s personal experiences living in Mexico. Lastly, the final sections show the unreliability of the Mexican government to resolve the issue of femicides in the country, demonstrating the importance of public involvement in combating gender violence.

This paper examines reading Station Eleven in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. There is also a heavy relation of the text with the usage of the Shakespearean works, other arts within the novel, and the keeping of unnecessary items by the protagonist with the overall message of the text. Ultimately, Station Eleven exposes the importance of the arts, even in times of crisis. There are many protocols for implementing BA, with most protocols being relatively similar. One difference frequently observed between protocols is the inclusion or omission of values (Kanter et al., 2006, 2009). First responders are routinely exposed to traumatic events that can affect their mental health to the extent of suicidal ideation and suicide completion. The purpose of our study is to inform the comparability of predictors of suicidality across first responder types to elucidate the most efficacious targets for intervention and clinical intercession. Clients (N = 224) sought counseling services between 2015 and 2020 at a not-for-profit organization. We conducted a matched study with cases defined as those with suicidality at baseline and those without suicidality at baseline (controls).
