Although other therapeutic approaches across human service disciplines have acknowledged the importance of understanding the impacts of trauma, the field of behavior analysis has seen less frequent discussions. To address this growing need, the purpose of this study was to explore how three participant board certified behavior analysts (BCBAs): (a) define trauma-informed behavior analysts (TIBA), (b) use TIBA to guide their decisions for identifying appropriate interventions, (c) determine appropriate evidence-based interventions for students with a history of trauma, and (d) obtained their training to confidently implement TIBA in their practices. This qualitative narrative study captured the stories of the schooling experiences of Black American diplomat families who attended sponsored American international schools overseas. The purpose of this study was to examine the racialized experiences of Black American diplomat families whose children attend or attended United States sponsored American international schools (SAIS) overseas compared to Black middle-class racialized schooling experiences in the United States. Through interviewing, counterstories were captured from a total of twelve participants consisting of seven parents and five students. Chromesthesia is the involuntary combination of a visual color response to a musical stimulus. Previous research has associated the presence of absolute pitch with color responses to musical pitch; however, recent studies indicated that color associations were also made amongst those who did not possess absolute pitch. The objective of the current study was to explore the association between two widely prevalent sources of trauma occurring early in life, child neglect and bullying victimization (BV), via adult recollections of maltreatment experiences. One hundred and twenty participants, recruited from a mid-sized university in the Rocky Mountain region of the United States, were ultimately included in the sample. Of the total sample, 30 participants (25%) endorsed a history of moderate to severe neglect in childhood and 62 participants (52%) endorsed experiencing at least one form of BV in school. Natto is a specialty fermented soyfood made from small-seeded (seeds-1) soybean varieties. Seed hardness and seed coat color are important seed traits that determine the texture and appearance of natto and are thus valuable to breeders. Prior research has identified quantitative trait loci (QTL, hereafter) for seed hardness, but its nature as a quantitative trait heavily influenced by the environment means that it is still poorly understood. We present a wireless nitrous oxide (N 2 O) gas sensor system consisting of a commercial high-current infrared N 2 O sensor wrapped in a “smart” sensor framework to make it suitable for battery-powered deployment. This framework consists of wireless mesh networking, data storage, additional environmental sensors, and a gas sensor power control circuit managed by a central microcontroller. The N 2 O sensor is the first order consumer of power and sampling N 2 O at approximately ten minute intervals yields an estimated system lifetime of 63 days when using four 18650 Li-ion batteries. This dissertation focuses on the challenge of pedestrian interaction with autonomous vehicles (AVs) at unmarked midblock locations where the right-of-way is unspecified. A virtual reality (VR) simulation was developed to replicate an urban unmarked midblock environment where pedestrians cross a four-lane arterial roadway and interact with AVs. One research goal is to investigate the impact of roadway centerline features (undivided, two-way left-turn lane, and median) and AV operational schemes portrayed through on-vehicle signals (no signal, yellow negotiating indication, and yellow/blue negotiating/no-yield indications) on pedestrian crossing behavior. An analytical methodology will be offered to show how discrimination of intersectional bodies is historically informed and reaffirmed by the manipulation of Western myths and mythos. According to the 2020 U.S. Office of Personnel Management’s Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey, the National Park Service (NPS) was ranked the 353rd best place to work out of the 411 government agencies surveyed, with an engagement score of 61.3%, which was lower than the 69.0% average amongst government agencies. This survey is performed annually and asks employees to score their employer in the following categories: leadership, empowerment, pay, teamwork, innovation, recognition, response to COVID-19, and work-life balance. In the U.S., more than half of hypertension cases remain uncontrolled, despite availability of effective pharmaceutical treatment options. Evidence suggests that therapeutic inertia, defined as clinician failure to initiate or increase therapy when treatment goals are unmet, is the most influential barrier to improving hypertension control. Field studies were conducted from 2019 to 2022 to evaluate the short-term effect of No cover crop [NC], RYE, a mix of rye + vetch [R+V], and mix of five species (radish, rye, vetch, clover, and lupin) [5W] on short term soil physical, chemical properties, cotton growth, and lint yield. Previous research has suggested that seed size and seedling vigor are positively correlated and having greater seeding vigor may compensate for adverse planting conditions, pest and disease pressure, and potentially injury from PRE herbicides. This study used a design-based methodology to investigate the impact of parents' and teachers' collaborative efforts in supporting preschool children's early writing. The sample included the lead teachers of the 3K and 4K classrooms at a local child development center. Six parent-child dyads from the 3K classroom and five parent-child dyads from the 4K classroom were selected using a convenience sampling technique. Data on children’s literacy skills and parents' and teachers’ involvement were collected using quantitative and qualitative measures.
