A Novel Therapy For Refractory Cbfa2t3::Glis2-Associated Amkl Using Stro-002 And Plerixafor, Amy Johnson Md, Mba, Alan S. Gamis, Arturo Molina, Soheil Meshinchi, Karen Lewing

Research Days

Background: CBFA2T3::GLIS2-associated AML (CBF/GLIS AML) is an aggressive form of AML often associated with AMKL and recognized by its unique RAM phenotype by flow. It has a very poor prognosis, frequently refractory to standard of care regimens, with extreme marrow localization of leukemic blasts likely mediated by high CXCR4 (CD184) expression. The CBFA2T3::GLIS2 fusion gene is the most common oncogenic transcript in pediatric AMKL and universally results in high expression of FOLR1 surface antigen. STRO-002, an antibody drug conjugate targeting FOLR1, is currently in Phase I clinical trials for adults with refractory ovarian and endometrial malignancies A summary of 17 …

Maternal Effects On Growth, Leila Ikeda May 2023

Maternal Effects On Growth, Leila Ikeda

Undergraduate Research and Engagement Symposium

Maternal effects generally refer to the impact that a mother's traits have upon the connection between direct genes of the offspring and the maternal environment provided for the offspring, shaping offspring's growth and development. While direct maternal effects occur through maternal provisioning or behavior, indirect maternal effects occur through transmission of maternal traits to the offspring via their interaction with the environment. Interval mapping revealed several significant QTLs, places where the maternal genome directly affects offspring phenotype, ranging from weeks 1-20, on chromosomes (chrs) 7 and 18 respectively, and other suggestive QTLs on Chrs 1, 3, 4, 6, and 14.

Three Essays On New Issues In Corporate Finance, Abdullah Shoeb May 2023

Three Essays On New Issues In Corporate Finance, Abdullah Shoeb

Theses and Dissertations

This dissertation focuses on three new issues in corporate finance, each aiming at different aspects of a firm's behavior. First, I propose a novel way to classify domestic manufacturing firms based on their level of financial constraint. Using the operating cash flow ratio as my new measure, I find that the behavior of constrained and unconstrained firms differ significantly, unlike existing constraint measures from the literature. My results indicate that constrained firms cannot engage in equity recycling, have a higher sensitivity to cash flow, use the proceeds from the sales of their fixed assets in R&D, and cannot change leverage …
