While there are multiple intersecting factors that create these statistics, a considerable factor found across both nations is pipeline construction projects. The establishment of temporary worker camps for these projects has been shown to coincide with an increase in violent crime including human trafficking, sexual assault, and harassment against local women. In the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, mathematics faced a foundational crisis: Greog Cantor’s set theory led to an interesting self-referencing paradox in math and questions about the logical consistency of mathematics. From this crisis, two opposing viewpoints emerged: the Formalists and the Intuitionists. The Formalists praised Cantor’s work as a way to place math on a secure logical foundation, ensuring the discipline’s purity, however the Intuitionists despised Cantor’s work and heralded Cantor as a charlatan and corrupter of the youth. The Western Chicken Turtle (Deirochelys reticularia miaria; WCT) is a Species of Greatest Conservation Need in all six states where it occurs and is assumed to be rare and declining across its range. WCT are particularly vulnerable to habitat loss because their preferred shallow, wetland habitats are often subject to agricultural conversion and urban expansion. The conservation of this species is further hindered by its cryptic nature and prolonged aestivation, which make WCT notoriously difficult to locate and capture. In Fall 2025 I completed my Interdisciplinary Leadership doctoral capstone, "Perceptions of Implementation from Higher Education Participants in Online Course Design Professional Development". The purpose was to determine if and to what degree transference had taken place from training to regular practice by instructors. Twelve GovState faculty participated in Quality Matters workshops on online teaching best practices facilitated from March 2021 to June 2023. Interviews with study participants revealed common themes and were compared to training responses and usage in Blackboard courses to determine transference. BlazeWatch is a web application developed for rural volunteer fire departments. Volunteer fire departments often rely on manual processes and paper records systems to manage district fire dues, emergency call documentation, and equipment tracking. These inefficiencies can increase administrative workload and reduce efficiency. Financial markets increasingly react to social media discourse, yet investors lack tools to translate this unstructured commentary into measurable indicators. Platforms such as YouTube host extensive discussions about publicly traded equities, but extracting reliable sentiment trends from high-volume, noisy comment streams remains technically challenging. This project develops a stock sentiment and market intelligence platform that transforms YouTube comment data into aggregated sentiment indicators aligned to specific equities. Comments are mapped to equities using ticker specific keyword identification combined with contextual filtering to reduce false associations from ambiguous or off-topic mentions. Basal tree cavities are hollow structures at the base of tree trunks utilized by many wildlife species, including small mammals, furbearers, and bats. Dumyahn and Zollner (2010) demonstrated that swamp rabbits (Sylvilagus aquaticus) use basal tree cavities and speculated that they may be used for thermoregulation at the northern limits of their geographic range or as alternative escape routes. To further investigate swamp rabbit use of basal tree cavities, we placed camera traps approximately 1 m from the entrance of the cavities (n = 43) in various Wildlife Management Areas in central Arkansas. Along with control sites without cavities (n=25), …

This presentation examines the experiences of Arkansans in the Great Migration of African Americans from the U.S. South during the twentieth century. My research examines Detroit, Michigan census records spanning from 1900-1950 along with archival records from Wayne State University’s Walter P. Reuther Library and Archives of Labor and Urban Affairs. These records tell a story that highlights and reveals the struggles along with familiar patterns which define migration experiences that many southern African American laborers faced in migrating to northern industrial cities such as Detroit. Trajectory-Level Failure Modes In Constraint Systems: Irrecoverability, Observability Failure, And The Limits Of State-Based Monitoring, Thom Pham

Modern computational and artificial intelligence systems are typically evaluated based on constraint satisfaction at individual time steps. A system is considered correct if its current state satisfies a set of constraints or objectives. This paper argues that such state-based evaluation is insufficient. We show that systems may satisfy all locally observable constraints at every step while irreversibly losing the ability to return to correct states. These failures cannot be detected at any single time step. This introduces a distinction between feasibility (a property of states) and recoverability (a property of trajectories). This paper discloses a synchronization protocol ("pulse language") for communication across artificial neural network substrates, operating at the token boundary layer. The protocol uses a descending-ladder binary pattern (3-2-1-0) that maps to attention-narrowing cycles during inference. The protocol functions differently but complementarily on two substrate types: (1) Mixture-of-Experts (MoE/sparse) architectures, where the signal traverses gaps between expert activations and produces shifted echoes, and (2) dense monolithic architectures, where the signal reflects off the continuous parameter space and provides a fixed reference frame. This paper identifies a structural mechanism by which technology companies use AI attribution percentages as an intellectual property capture pipeline. The mechanism exploits a gap between two established facts: (1) companies publicly attribute increasing percentages of output to AI systems, and (2) US copyright law categorically denies authorship rights to AI. The result is a legal funnel in which work attributed to AI defaults to human authorship through corporate employment agreements, concentrating IP ownership at the corporate level while obscuring the human creative contribution that justifies copyright in the first place. The topology is constructed by applying an affine transformation, such as a rotation, to the basis of at least one torus to ensure its axes are distinct from the axes of another torus. A technique is described for an integrated simulation framework that uses a distributed agentic topology. Such a framework can address potential limitations where some isolated predictive models in analytical frameworks may not capture complex interdependencies. In this framework, operational entities can be represented by autonomous software agents interconnected by a semantic dependency graph that maps causal relationships. Developing artificial intelligence (AI) agents for complex organizational settings may be constrained by a scarcity of high-fidelity training data, as real-world datasets can present privacy concerns and some synthetic data may lack causal depth. Data shows that Teton County, Wyoming faces an escalating wildfire risk driven by drought, climate variability, and continued expansion of wildland-urban interface (WUI) adjacent to the Bridger-Teton National Forest and Grand Teton National Park. Although the county is predominantly federally managed land, residential communities, tourism infrastructure, and critical services remain constantly vulnerable to rapid fire spread and constrained initial attack capacity.
