The Virtual Critical Care (VCC) is a Telecritical Care unit in the Southeastern U.S. that provides services to over 200 beds in 15 ICUs. VCC provides essential expertise and support to meet the needs of ICU Patients in units without 24/7 intensivist coverage, including resuscitation events ("Code Blue"). Resuscitation support can include VCC provider management of the code via camera, and/or VCC RN involvement to support ACLS protocols as needed, provide feedback on CPR quality and effectiveness, and remaining on camera to assist with EMR access and post-event debriefing. This study explored whether Relationship-Centered Communication Partner Training (RC-CPT) improved perceived marital attachment, communication, and psychosocial well-being in couples impacted by aphasia. A quasi-experimental design was implemented to assess the impact of RC-CPT on various marital outcomes. Twelve married couples participated in the study, with each couple including one spouse with post-stroke aphasia. The Brief Accessibility, Responsiveness, and Engagement Scale (BARE) was used as the primary outcome for this study, assessing attachment behaviors within couples. Secondary outcome measures included the Loneliness Scale Questionnaire, the Relationship Questionnaire, the Conflict and Conflict Resolution Questionnaire, and the Kessler Psychological Distress Rating Scale. The purpose of this study was to examine how turn-taking latency and speaker or listener gender affect the perceived intelligence and likability of the speaker across autistic speakers. In addition, the overarching goal of this research is to help speech-language pathologists (SLPs) better provide support and strategies to autistic individuals to improve their social and professional lives. Neurotypical English speakers (20 male and 20 female) were recruited to listen to a series of conversational speech samples collected from a group of eight autistic adults (four male and four female). Saudi Arabia faces a severe water scarcity, making groundwater the primary source for agricultural activities and underscoring the need to assess its quality to ensure sustainable agriculture, given its direct impact on crop performance, soil properties, and overall productivity. This study evaluated the suitability of groundwater for irrigation in the Asfan area of Al-Jumum Governorate, Makkah Region, in western Saudi Arabia. Purpose: Ganglion cysts of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) are uncommon periarticular lesions and may be diagnostically challenging because symptoms are often nonspecific. When these lesions arise posterior to the joint, they can produce otologic complaints through dynamic narrowing of the external auditory canal (EAC). Herein, we report on a histologically confirmed TMJ ganglion cyst causing position-dependent hearing loss and review the relevant literature.

This thesis presents a comprehensive framework for the automated tracking and visualization of articulatory movements based on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data. A well-known data analysis tool for markerless pose estimation, known as DeepLabCut, is investigated for this purpose. The performance of this tool is enhanced through the design and implementation of a pre-processor. DeepLabCut is a markerless pose estimation toolbox based on deep learning, which overcomes the issue of making manual annotations frame-by-frame. Limitations from manually marking the MRI images are addressed by implementing transfer learning with convolutional neural networks to achieve accurate, user-defined articulator tracking without markers. Drawing on an insider-expert perspective from 2021–2024, I reflect on how personal ties, symbolic recognition, and off-record exchanges quietly rework formal policymaking. The story begins with a seemingly simple greeting, kakanda, and follows how this sense of belonging opens access, shapes the selection of experts, and influences which programs survive. This article investigates the performance impact of five classical optimization approximation algorithms on our previously introduced quantum search algorithm, termed the Boolean–Hamiltonians Transform for Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm (BHT-QAOA), to effectively search for all best-approximated solutions for Boolean-based problems. These optimization approximation algorithms are BFGS, L-BFGS-B, SLSQP, COBYLA, and COBYQA. Their performance impact is evaluated and compared using two proposed performance metrics—(i) the final number of function evaluations (the lower numbers denote the best optimization approximation algorithms) and (ii) the final quality of qubit measurements (the higher values indicate all best-approximated solutions were found for a problem). Mixing machine learning with modeling is an area of increasing importance. This paper presents a lesson where students model a spring-mass system both using traditional analysis with linear damping and using machine learning to learn the damping from real data. The machine learning is implemented in a Jupyter notebook hosted on Google Colab, allowing students to train the neural network without requiring the students to carry out coding. This thesis examines why the Greek political left, and specifically the SYRIZA government under Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras during the time period from 2015 to 2019, made near-absent reference to the 1922 Asia Minor Catastrophe when addressing the refugee crisis of those years. The Catastrophe, in which approximately 1.3 million Orthodox Greeks were displaced from Anatolia, is the foundational trauma of modern Greek nationhood and a living presence in Greek political culture. When hundreds of thousands of Syrian, Afghan, and Iraqi refugees arrived on Greek shores from 2015, the historical parallel was widely noted. That SYRIZA rarely drew it requires …
