Polygamy among teenagers is an uncommon phenomenon in Indonesia, but it is prevalent in Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. There are underlying factors contributing to this concerning trend among teenagers, which worries parents and continues to rise annually due to its potential impact on a child's future. Unfortunately, families often feel compelled to accept early polygamous marriages due to concerns about family honor. Despite the strict process mandated by family law, societal attitudes undermine this, leading to significant risks for those involved. Furthermore, the government's influence in implementing effective measures seems limited, highlighting an apparent lapse in civic responsibility. Therefore, …

Caregiver-delivered programs are a recommended best practice to support young autistic children. While research has extensively explored children's outcomes quantitatively, minimal qualitative research has been conducted to understand caregivers’ perspectives of program outcomes for themselves and their children. Hearing directly from caregivers is an important step in ensuring these programs are meeting the needs of those who use them. This study explored caregivers’ perceived outcomes following one virtual caregiver-delivered program, The Hanen Centre's More Than Words® (MTW) program.

In order for clients to make informed decisions about what treatment goal is best for them and for clinicians to help clients bolster their chances of recovery, it is critical that we know for whom non-abstinence-based treatment goals are most effective. We collected data from 143 treatment-seeking adults with AUD. The final sample consisted of participants with baseline goals of controlled drinking and follow-up data (N = 25). Success for individuals with controlled drinking goals was not predicted by any of the variables studied in multiple regression analysis. Results of latent change score analyses indicate that participants of lower …

Dysmenorrhea is frequently reported by adolescents. Physical exercises is one method of overcoming the symptoms of primary dysmenorrhea. Consistent physical activity has been shown to induce the synthesis of endorphins, which function as analgesics within the body. This study presents a comprehensive review to synthesize evidence regarding the relation between physical activity or exercise with dysmenorrhea and how exercise can ameliorate dysmenorrhea in adolescents. This study followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method to identify articles published within the last three years (2021-2023) via PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar.
