While the rapid development of artificial intelligence is empowering society, it is also posing serious threats to the continuation of the traditional social order. The "de-intellectualization" function of AI has given rise to the phenomenon of "artificial ignorance", referring to the self-inflicted intellectual harm caused by the uncontrolled and excessive misuse of AI-related tools, thus causing a profound impact on the social order. The venture capital (VC) industry plays a crucial role in advancing the development of the artificial intelligence (AI) sector. As a key bridge between technological innovation and industrialization, VC not only provides financial support to AI startups but also empowers them in strategic planning, technological research and development, and market expansion. However, China's VC industry currently faces several challenges in supporting AI development, including an imbalance in the roles of state-owned and private capital, a short-term investment mindset, and the cyclical phenomenon of "herding" and abrupt market exits. Facing the unpredictable new features of top-down AI technological innovation and the new requirements on functions, this study proposes to re-examine the technological innovation of AI at the enterprise level from the perspective of the "a new system for mobilizing the resources nationwide" and with the enterprise innovation ecosystem as the carrier. On the basis of explaining the elements and operation logic of the new system at the enterprise level, compared to the "implicit national system" of the US, this study preliminarily compares the new system of AI in China and that in the US. The United States, Europe, and China have adopted completely different technological development paths in the era of artificial intelligence innovation, forming a model division of "development-driven governance", "stringent governance framework", and "coordinated governance model" The United States and Europe have respectively set strategic goals as "maintaining technological hegemony" and "competing for the soft power of international rules", forming an interactive model in which institutional supervision and industry independence parallel, and cooperation needs and policy divergence coexist. Accelerating the development and utilization of urban underground space holds significant strategic value. It can effectively alleviate land resource constraints, enhance national defense and urban resilience, support urban renewal, and drive economic growth. Nevertheless, challenges remain in China's current approach to underground space development, including delayed planning, insufficient geological surveys, lack of regulatory frameworks, and fragmented industry management. Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) can be used to non-invasively augment cognitive training. However, the benefits of tDCS may be due in part to placebo effects, which have not been well-characterized. The purpose of this study was to determine whether tDCS can have a measurable placebo effect on cognitive training and to identify potential sources of this effect. Eighty-three right-handed adults were randomly assigned to one of three groups: control (no exposure to tDCS), sham tDCS, or active tDCS. The sham and active tDCS groups were double-blinded. Self-Weighted Estimation For Local Unit Root Regression With Applications, Zhishui Hu, Nan Liu, Peter C. B. Phillips, Qiying Wang

A new self-weighted least squares (LS) estimation theory is developed for local unit root (LUR) autoregression with heteroskedasticity. The proposed estimator has a mixed Gaussian limit distribution and the corresponding studentized statistic converges to a standard normal distribution free of the unknown localizing coefficient which is not consistently estimable. The estimator is super consistent with a convergence rate slightly below the OP (n) rate of LS estimation. The asymptotic theory relies on a new framework of convergence to the local time of a Gaussian process, allowing for the sample moments generated from martingales and many other integrated dependent sequences. The Dual-Targeted Fusion Inhibitor Clofazimine Binds To The S2 Segment Of The Sars-Cov-2 Spike Protein, Matthew Freidel, Pratiti Vakhariya, Shalinder Sardarni, Roger Armen

Clofazimine and Arbidol have both been reported to be effective in vitro SARS-CoV-2 fusion inhibitors. Both are promising drugs that have been repurposed for the treatment of COVID-19 and have been used in several previous and ongoing clinical trials. Small-molecule bindings to expressed constructs of the trimeric S2 segment of Spike and the full-length SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein were measured using a Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) binding assay. We demonstrate that Clofazimine, Toremifene, Arbidol and its derivatives bind to the S2 segment of the Spike protein. The United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021–2030) prioritizes healthy oceans and sustainable development. Protecting marine biodiversity, promoting sustainable fisheries, and achieving global sustainability goals are critical concerns for the international community. This study addresses critical challenges in seahorse conservation and industrial development, including wild resource depletion, limitations in aquaculture technology, low-value industrial chains, and inadequate regulatory coordination. Through systematic analysis of current conservation status and industrial trends, establishing demonstration bases is proposed for seahorse resource protection and high-value utilization ("Hippocampus Hub"), guided by natural habitat integrity, scientific research capacity, industrial chain integration, and policy support.
