The detection of a secondary inorganic phosphate (Pi) resonance, a possible marker of mitochondrial content in vivo, using phosphorus magnetic resonance spectroscopy (31P-MRS), poses technical challenges at 3 Tesla (T). Overcoming these challenges is imperative for the integration of this biomarker into clinical research. To evaluate the repeatability and reliability of measuring resting skeletal muscle alkaline Pi (Pialk) using with 31P-MRS at 3 T. After an initial set of experiments on five subjects to optimize the sequence, resting 31P-MRS of the quadriceps muscles were acquired on two visits (~4 days apart) using an intra-subjects design, from 13 sedentary to moderately …

The increasing prevalence of Fusarium graminearum, a major causative pathogen of Fusarium head blight in cereal crops, leads to contamination of grain with mycotoxins, which necessitates the development of effective management strategies. This study investigated whether postharvest Blown-Arc plasma treatment could reduce F. graminearum and associated mycotoxins in field-infested grain. Postharvest Blown-Arc plasma treatment for 60 or 180 s was trialled to reduce Fusarium graminearum and deoxynivalenol (DON) mycotoxins in field-infested wheat grain. Diabetes mellitus continues to be one of the most commonly diagnosed medical conditions in the United States. More than 25 million children and adults are living with type 1 or type 2 DM (ADA, 2012). Even though 18 million patients have been diagnosed with diabetes, an additional 7 million are unaware they have the disease. This study investigates the intricate correlation between women’s nominations for political office and the existence of political dynasties in the context of Indonesia’s elections following the downfall of the authoritarian regime. The study specifically examines the complex factors that influence the experiences of women who pursue political positions in a setting where entrenched family legacies hold significant influence. The study employs qualitative methodology with a theory-driven approach. To construct arguments and address the inquiries presented, the author employs secondary sources of information. The Paradoxical Policies, Politics Of Tastes, And Classic Indonesian Exploitation Cinema Of The New Order Regime, Ekky Imanjaya

Although the New Order Regime (1966-1998) was widely known for its strict censorship and government control, there was a simultaneous rise in producing exploitation films with graphic and provocative images. This kind of cinema was exported internationally in the 1980s and re-released in the 2000s by transnational DVD distributors. This article analyzed the transformation of exploitation films, which were disregarded and undervalued by the Government, cultural elites, and cinema critics. It explored how these films became a battleground for the politics of taste and resulted in a series of contradictions within the political policies of the New Order. The study …
