Introduction: Older care home (CH) residents are particularly vulnerable to infections and often experience adverse outcomes. Despite this group being frequently prioritised for vaccinations, trials of vaccines rarely recruit CH residents. Given that the social and biological characteristics of CH residents may influence vaccine effectiveness, it is crucial to test vaccines in this population.

This chapter presents an overview of physical and acoustic behavioral responses of marine mammals to underwater sounds. A literature review was undertaken, and data on received levels at the animal when certain types of responses were observed were compiled in an online supplementary spreadsheet. Based on this, an overview of responses was written, organized first by species and then by sound type. In-air and underwater sound sources were considered. The most studied sound types were mid-frequency sonar and acoustic deterrent devices and then impact pile driving and vessels. Objective: Young-onset dementia (YOD), defined by symptom onset before age 65, encompasses diverse aetiologies and presents with prominent neuropsychiatric symptoms (NPS) that often accompany or exacerbate cognitive decline. However, the pathological mechanisms linking NPS, cognition, and biomarkers remain unclear. Programmatic assessment for learning represents a shift from fragmented, summative assessment practices to integrated, developmental systems where feedback is central to learning. This paper argues that feedback is foundational to programmatic assessment (PAx) implementation. Using feedback as an analytical lens, it examines institutional readiness for the deep structural and cultural shifts that PAx requires, drawing on a qualitative case study of course coordinators across three disciplines at an Australian university. Five interrelated barriers were identified: fragmented feedback, summative assessment reliance, workload constraints, absence of coordinated feedback pathways, and unconstrained educator autonomy. Background: Existing epidemiological evidence regarding the potential role of (poly)phenol intake in lymphoma development is limited. Methods: We investigated the associations between the intake of total and individual classes and subclasses of (poly)phenols and the risk of lymphoma, including main frequent subtypes in the EPIC cohort using multivariable-adjusted Cox proportional hazards models. Results: During a mean 14-year follow-up (time frame: from 1990–1994 to 2008–2013), 2394 incident lymphoma cases were diagnosed from a total of 367,463 individuals. The processing parameters of laser melting deposition (LMD) can significantly influence the microstructure and properties of LMD components. Herein, we manufactured TiBw/Ti–6Al–4V titanium matrix composite (TMC) using LMD, aiming to obtain the optimal preparation parameters. The electrical resistivity of the TMC first decreased and then increased, which was related to the microstructural evolution. TiBw network was formed in the matrix during LMD, indicating the in situ reaction of TiB2 during LMD. The reinforcement TiBw was tended to precipitate preferentially during solidification. To assess the level of agreement among experts on the heel raise exercise parameters that influence midportion and insertional Achilles tendinopathy (AT) rehabilitation outcomes. An international expert panel in AT rehabilitation was invited to complete a three-round Delphi survey. While the negative impacts of early contact with justice systems have been well-documented and have resulted in calls to raise the age, research had not examined the public views of MACR in Western Australia. This work systematically analyzes the effects of heat treatment on the mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of Ti-50Zr alloy produced via vacuum arc melting. Microstructural characterization demonstrates that the microstructure of Ti–50Zr transforms from coarse lamellar α phase in as-cast condition to fine and uniformly distributes acicular α′ phase in heat-treatment state. The tensile strength, yield strength, and microhardness are significantly improved. This strengthening effect can be attributed to grain refinement and increase in dislocation density induced by heat treatment. This research investigated how ethical leaders drive employees to experience meaningfulness at work by influencing employees' perception of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). It also examined if employees' skepticism towards CSR moderates these relationships. Conducted in Bhutan, where CSR is legally required but emerging, the study surveyed 797 employees from 15 companies using partial least squares path modeling. Findings confirmed that the perceived CSR mediates the positive link between ethical leadership and meaningfulness at work. Meanwhile, employees' skepticism towards CSR weakens both the positive impact of CSR perception on meaningfulness at work as well as the mediated path. The study highlights …

Through using 3D design and fabrication tools such as computer-aided design (CAD) software, 3D printers, laser cutters, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines, students can transition from passive learners to active creators, engaging with tangible projects that connect theoretical concepts and practical challenges.
