Exploring The Imposter Phenomenon Among Spanish Esl Doctoral-Level Psychology Students, Celia E. Arauz

In this study, I examined the impostor phenomenon experienced by bilingual Latina/o doctoral-level psychology students with English as a second language (ESL) who attend predominantly White institutions. To address the lack of literature, I explored how individuals perceive and cope with experiences generated by cultural, linguistic, and racialized academic environments, using the Clance Impostor Phenomenon Scale (CIPS) and interpretative phenomenological analysis. Seven participants completed demographic questionnaires, CIPS screening, and semistructured interviews. I analyzed participants' narratives in an Adlerian framework, emphasizing inferiority, belonging, and purposeful thriving. Findings demonstrated impostor feelings were prevalent. This mixed methods applied dissertation was designed to provide insight into the effects of student motivation and student self-efficacy on academic performance in Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Secondary educational institutions in the United States offer their students Advanced Placement courses, dual enrollment or dual credit courses, International Baccalaureate (IB) courses, and early college programs to encourage and promote the quest for outstanding student attainment. Although many students in the study school enroll in the Academy for Advanced Placement Studies, not all ninth through 12th graders achieve Advanced Placement credit in the Academy’s required courses.

Against the backdrop of an increasingly polarized global landscape and intensifying Sino-American competition, this paper conducts an in-depth analysis of the risk-reward trade-offs inherent in Thailand’s ‘hedging strategy’ during Donald Trump’s first term (2017-2021). Hedging policy occupies a middle ground between “alignment” and ‘balancing’, aiming to diversify risks and maintain flexibility. It constitutes a strategic approach enabling nations to derive benefits from great power competition while preserving avenues for retreat. Through in-depth research, this paper finds that Thailand, as a small power, gained short-term economic benefits through its hedging strategy, such as manufacturing relocation and export growth. This thesis examines the role of mythological reinterpretation and its expansion of the literary canon to inclusively reflect human experiences. According to scholars of myth such as Kalloli, Tyagi, and Armstrong, myths are meant to reflect enduring human experiences, making them relatable classics even after thousands of years. Objective. The transition to college is associated with rising rates of depressive symptoms and decreased well-being. It is critical to identify protective psychological factors for this period. One possible protective factor is psychological flexibility, or the ability to pursue self-identified values despite distressing thoughts and emotions. This study examined associations among psychological flexibility components and well-being outcomes in first semester college students.

Participants: The sample consisted of 238 diverse first-semester college students recruited from five universities.

Scholars are obsessed with the Roberts Court’s recent turn to history and tradition. But another source of authority has also emerged as an important feature of the Roberts Court’s approach to constitutional cases. In previous work, I have referred to this source of authority as popular meaning. While original meaning identifies the best reading of the Constitution’s text at the time of its ratification, popular meaning draws on sources of authority outside the courts to capture the constitutional views of the American people today. In Employment Division v. Smith, the U.S. Supreme Court denied heightened constitutional protection to religiously motivated exercise burdened by neutral and generally applicable laws. The history presented in this Article suggests that the Smith approach conflicts with the original understanding of the Fourteenth Amendment. Out of the crucible of religious abolitionist resistance to the Fugitive Slave Act emerged a substantive theory of constitutional religious freedom: American citizens should have the right to obey the Biblical command to care for the needy and provide the hungry a "crust of bread," even if doing so was contrary to neutral and generally …

Looking back at the federal courts over the last generation, commentators will likely focus on their role in undermining the functioning of the regulatory state. Well-acknowledged in this story are Supreme Court decisions that have constrained administrative agencies under the newly minted “major questions” doctrine, as well as the Court’s blockbuster decision overruling the longstanding Chevron doctrine. The Court also has made it increasingly difficult for individuals—often workers and consumers, people of color, women, and those who live from paycheck to paycheck—to seek federal judicial redress for regulatory violations as private enforcers. Increasing sulfate (SO₄^2-) concentrations in the water environment, corresponding with increases in urbanization and industrialization, are a rising global concern. Over 250 mg/L, sulfate threatens human health and ecosystems. Elevated concentrations influence carbonate rock weathering, contributing to the evolution of the global carbon cycle. Knowledge of sulfate sources, whether natural or anthropogenic, is essential for understanding sulfate transport and fate in groundwater. This study investigates SO₄^2- origin and transport in groundwater in an area dominated by agricultural land use in Mclean County, Illinois. When New Jersey reinstated the death penalty in 1983, the state hadn’t conducted an execution in twenty years, so no one knew how to conduct an execution by lethal injection. Doctors at the state prison refused to participate, citing medical ethics that required them to “support life, not end it,” and that left prison officials thinking that they might have to conduct the executions themselves. “That is not an easy task for an amateur,” a reporter covering the quandary wrote. Interspecific interactions vary depending on environmental and genetic factors, with intraspecific variation potentially altering these relationships. Specifically, intraspecific variation within host plants and their endosymbionts may affect above- and belowground interactions depending on environmental conditions. We examined how intraspecific variation within the salt marsh foundation species Spartina alterniflora and a common fungal root endosymbiont (Lulworthia sp.) affected their interactions. We conducted a glasshouse experiment comparing interactions between Spartina growth forms (tall-form from low marsh and short-form from high marsh) and Lulworthia isolates from different marsh locations, and a laboratory experiment exposing Lulworthia isolates from both endpoints of a tidal elevation …

The horseshoe crab, Limulus polyphemus, has recently been found to spawn regularly in salt marshes, despite the long-held assumption that salt marsh sediments are not conducive for embryonic development. Here, we tested the prediction that eggs laid in the salt marsh would develop more slowly and be less viable than eggs laid on beaches. We flagged the nests of spawning horseshoe crabs in the marshes and beaches of three states—South Carolina, Connecticut, and New Hampshire—and then excavated those nests one or three weeks later. We staged the excavated embryos to compare developmental progress between marshes and beaches. We found …

An example of this is the 26th edition of the Essential Nursing Resources last published in 2012. This is a book about attention and memory. I am a sculptor, so it is also a book about size, dirt, artifice, work, and eye. The text is a set of stories and interruptions that pile up to make a play of overlapping loops. My organizing principle is the image of the round-trip, so one may open the book and step into it at any point. Most of Katherine Wetzel’s photographs are of a single sculpture. The literature and beliefs surrounding gentrification are very diverse, but what often connects the various views is a negative perception that gentrification always disadvantages and displaces low-income minority residents, physically or culturally. The family, we are told by numerous authorities, is a non-market site, centred on emotional attachment rather than economic transaction. It is a site of interpersonal care, growth, and nurturance that acts as a counter to the excesses of an unbridled marketplace. “Massive Resistance” to equal access to good quality public education is resurging across the nation. First employed by segregationists in Virginia, Massive Resistance spread across the South to oppose school desegregation. This extreme push to suppress equitable education occurred most notably post-Brown. Although 2024 marked Brown’s seventieth anniversary, Massive Resistance is again surging. In fact, the last few years have witnessed increasing resistance to publicly funded education. Some areas where anti-public education resistance strategies have manifested include political rhetoric around Critical Race Theory, library censorship, and renewed parental rights debates.

การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาต้นแบบระบบการบริหารจัดการงานบำรุงรักษาอัจฉริยะ (Intelligent Maintenance System:IMS) สำหรับโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมระบบอัตโนมัติ โดยประยุกต์กระบวนการค้นหาในปริภูมิสถานะ (State Space Search) เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการวางแผนบำรุงรักษา งานวิจัยใช้กรณีศึกษาจากโรงงานผลิตสายไฟฟ้าในประเทศไทย ซึ่งมีเครื่องจักรอัตโนมัติมากกว่า 20 เครื่องและอะไหล่มากกว่า 3,000 รายการต่อเครื่องจักร ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยใช้แนวทางแบบผสมผสาน (Mixed-method) ด้วยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกและการสำรวจเชิงปริมาณเพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการยอมรับระบบการบริหารจัดการงานบำรุงรักษาอัจฉริยะตามกรอบแนวคิดแบบจำลองการยอมรับเทคโนโลยี (Technology Acceptance Model: TAM) และการประเมินความเป็นไปได้ทางธุรกิจด้วยกรอบ (Business Model Canvas:BMC) พร้อมทั้งพัฒนาโปรแกรมต้นแบบด้วยภาษา Python เพื่อจำลองการวางแผนการบำรุงรักษาอัจฉริยะด้วยการทดสอบทั้งอัลกอริทึมการค้นหาแบบไม่รู้ข้อมูล (Uninformed Search) และแบบรู้ข้อมูล (Informed Search) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบประสิทธิภาพในการค้นหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่าการประยุกต์ใช้การค้นหาในปริภูมิสถานะสามารถระบุช่วงเวลาบำรุงรักษาที่เหมาะสม โดยพิจารณาจากต้นทุนการบำรุงรักษา อายุคงเหลือของอะไหล่ และค่าความเสี่ยง อีกทั้งระบบยังสามารถจำลองสถานการณ์บำรุงรักษาในเดือนที่กำหนด งบประมาณต่อเดือน ปรับเปลียนอายุการใช้งานคงเหลือของอะไหล่ รวมถึงจำลองการชำรุดของอะไหล่เพื่อให้การวางแผนบำรุงรักษามีประสิทธิภาพสูงกว่าวิธีการบำรุงรักษาตามรอบแบบเดิม ข้อเสนอจากการวิจัยชี้ให้เห็นถึงศักยภาพในการพัฒนาระบบการบริหารจัดการงานบำรุงรักษาอัจฉริยะเพื่อใช้งานเชิงพาณิชย์ และต่อยอดสู่กลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมอื่น ตลอดจนการพัฒนาอัลกอริทึมขั้นสูงเพิ่มเติมเพื่อเพิ่มความฉลาดของระบบให้สอดคล้องกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงของเทคโนโลยีและอุตสาหกรรมในอนาคต

การวิจัยเชิงทดลองฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลฉับพลันของ การเพ่งความตั้งใจแบบภายใน (internal focus) และการเพ่งความตั้งใจแบบภายนอก (external focus) ที่มีต่อความสามารถในการเคลื่อนที่เปลี่ยนทิศทางทางด้านข้าง (Side-step cutting: SSC) ตัวแปรทางชีวกลศาสตร์ และความเสี่ยงต่อการบาดเจ็บของเอ็นไขว้หน้าหัวเข่า (cutting Movement Assessment Score: CMAS) ในกลุ่มนักกีฬารักบี้ฟุตบอลเพศหญิง จำนวน 13 คน อายุระหว่าง 18–24 ปี โดยให้ผู้เข้าร่วมทำการเคลื่อนที่เปลี่ยนทิศทางด้วยขาข้างถนัดและขาข้างที่ไม่ถนัด ภายใต้เงื่อนไขการเพ่งความตั้งใจแบบภายใน การเพ่งความตั้งใจแบบภายนอก และเงื่อนไขควบคุม ใช้รูปแบบการถ่วงดุลลำดับ (counterbalance design) เพื่อกำหนดลำดับเงื่อนไขการทดสอบ โดยเว้นระยะห่าง 7 วันระหว่างแต่ละครั้ง วิเคราะห์ความแตกต่างทางสถิติของค่าเฉลี่ยของความสามารถในการเคลื่อนที่เปลี่ยนทิศทางชีวกลศาสตร์การเคลื่อนที่เปลี่ยนทิศทาง และความเสี่ยงในการเกิดการบาดเจ็บของเอ็นไขว้หน้าหัวเข่า ด้วยสถิติ paired-sample t-test และ one-way ANOVA with repeated measures ที่ระดับนัยสำคัญ .05 ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ผู้เข้าร่วมงานวิจัยสามารถเพ่งความตั้งใจไปยังตำแหน่งที่กำหนดได้อย่างถูกต้องตามเงื่อนไขการเพ่งความตั้งใจที่ได้รับ อย่างไรก็ตาม ไม่พบความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติของระยะทาง ความเร็ว และตัวแปรทาง ชีวกลศาสตร์ภายใต้เงื่อนไขการเพ่งความตั้งใจที่ต่างกัน ส่วนคะแนน CMAS ของขาข้างที่ไม่ถนัดภายใต้การเพ่งความตั้งใจแบบภายนอก (3.25±1.15) มีค่าต่ำที่สุด (p = 0.07) แสดงถึงคุณภาพการเคลื่อนไหวที่ดีและความเสี่ยงต่อการบาดเจ็บที่ลดลงสรุปผลการวิจัย การเพ่งความตั้งใจแบบภายนอกแม้ไม่ส่งผลต่อผลลัพธ์ด้านความสามารถในการเคลื่อนที่เปลี่ยนทิศทางและตัวแปรทางชีวกลศาสตร์โดยรวม แต่แสดงแนวโน้มที่ช่วยให้คุณภาพการเคลื่อนไหวของขาข้างที่ไม่ถนัดดีขึ้น โดยสะท้อนผ่านคะแนน CMAS ที่ต่ำกว่าเมื่อเทียบกับเงื่อนไขอื่น ชี้ให้เห็นว่าคำชี้แจงการเพ่งความตั้งใจแบบภายนอกอาจมีศักยภาพในการพัฒนารูปแบบการเคลื่อนไหวในขาข้างที่ไม่ถนัด ทั้งนี้ควรมีการศึกษาเพิ่มเติมด้วยการเพิ่มขนาดของกลุ่มตัวอย่างและศึกษาผลของการเพ่งความตั้งใจในระยะยาวเพื่อยืนยันผลลัพธ์ของการใช้คำชี้แจงการเพ่งความตั้งใจ

การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลกระทบของดัชนีความเสี่ยงทางภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ (Geopolitical Risk Index: GPR) ต่อความผันผวนของราคาฟิวเจอร์สสินค้าเกษตร และเพื่อเปรียบเทียบประสิทธิภาพของแบบจำลองทางสถิติและแบบจำลองการเรียนรู้ของเครื่องในการพยากรณ์ โดยใช้ข้อมูลรายเดือนของราคาฟิวเจอร์สข้าวโพดและถั่วเหลืองจากตลาดซื้อขายล่วงหน้าระดับโลก 3 แห่ง ได้แก่ Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), Brasil Bolsa Balcão (B3) และ Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) ในช่วงเดือนมิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2558 ถึงพฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2568 แบบจำลองที่ใช้ในการศึกษา ได้แก่ SARIMAX, GARCHX และ Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) โดยมีดัชนี Geopolitical Risk (GPR), Geopolitical Threats (GPRT), Geopolitical Acts (GPRA), Country-Specific GPR (GPRC) และปริมาณการซื้อขายของสัญญาซื้อขายล่วงหน้าข้าวโพดและถั่วเหลืองเป็นตัวแปรภายนอกในการอธิบายความผันผวนของราคา ทั้งนี้ใช้ค่าความคลาดเคลื่อนเปอร์เซ็นต์สัมบูรณ์เฉลี่ย (Mean Absolute Percentage Error: MAPE) เป็นตัวชี้วัดประสิทธิภาพหลัก ผลการวิจัยชี้ให้เห็นว่าแบบจำลอง LSTM ที่มีการรวมตัวแปรภายนอกนั้นมีประสิทธิภาพมากที่สุดในการคาดการณ์ความผันผวนของราคาฟิวเจอร์สสินค้าการเกษตร โดยในฟิวเจอร์สข้าวโพด แบบจำลอง LSTM (lookback = 12) ให้ผลการคาดการณ์ที่แม่นยำที่สุด ในตลาด CME ตัวแปรภายนอกที่มีประสิทธิภาพสูงที่สุดคือ GPRC BRAZIL ในขณะที่ตลาด B3 มีตัวแปรภายนอกที่ดีที่สุดคือ GPRC USA และสำหรับตลาด DCE ตัวแปรภายนอกที่มีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุดคือ GPRC RUSSIA ขณะที่ในฟิวเจอร์สถั่วเหลือง แบบจำลอง LSTM (lookback = 6) แสดงถึงความแม่นยำสูงสุด โดยตลาด B3 นั้นมีตัวแปรภายนอกที่ได้ผลดีที่สุดคือ GPRA และสำหรับตลาด DCE ตัวแปรภายนอกที่มีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุดคือ GPRC …

Small manufacturing and craft-based firms increasingly use Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) through public chat interfaces, low-cost tools, and informal experimentation. However, these firms often make operational decisions with incomplete records, tacit owner knowledge, fragmented spreadsheets, and limited managerial capacity.
