The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides infant formula to low-income households through state-level exclusive supply contracts that cover roughly half of U.S. infants. Although these contracts directly govern purchases by WIC participants, they also affect households that receive no WIC benefits. We study these spillovers using household-level in-store and online transaction data matched to WIC contract changes across states from 2018 to 2025. When a manufacturer becomes the WIC supplier, its market share among non-WIC households rises by roughly 30 percentage points in the regular-size formula segment. Wind-blown sand and other instances of solid particles mobilized and suspended in gaseous turbulent boundary layers (TBLs) are seen in a wide variety of engineering contexts. An experimental framework was developed to study the incipient particle motion driven by external forcing within a turbulent boundary layer, which is provided by an airfoil section oscillating in the free-steam flow, resulting in a periodic disturbance in the near-wall region through production of synthetic large-scale structures at a fixed frequency. Purpose: This narrative review explored the literature on academic–practice partnerships in community settings within prelicensure nursing education. Methods: A search of three databases—MEDLINE, CINAHL, and Scopus—led to the review of 12 articles exploring academic–practice partnerships in community settings within prelicensure nursing education. Results: Emergent themes encompassed components for planning, implementing, and evaluating academic–practice partnerships. Planning themes included completing community assessments, considering financial resources, and identifying guiding frameworks or models. Implementation themes included diverse nursing education and community partners and settings, academic–practice partnership initiatives, and integration of partnerships in prelicensure nursing education curricula. Prenatal maternal depression may have intergenerational effects on offspring brain development, with potential socioemotional consequences. In an observational follow-up of a randomized clinical trial of a prenatal depression intervention (the CARE Project; ClinicalTrials.gov NCT03011801), brain development and subsequent negative emotionality were examined among 109 infants born to mothers randomized during pregnancy to brief interpersonal psychotherapy or enhanced usual care. These data include MRI-derived hippocampal and amygdala volumes at approximately 6 weeks of age and a laboratory-based assessment of infant negative emotionality at 6 months.

Generative artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming higher education, yet comparative evidence from diverse international settings remains limited. This cross-national study examined undergraduate students’ adoption and perceived academic impact of generative AI tools at institutions in Indonesia, Tajikistan, and the United States. A harmonized online survey was administered to 584 undergraduates during Spring 2026 (Indonesia n = 235; Tajikistan n = 226; United States n = 123). The survey assessed AI familiarity, adoption patterns, frequency and purpose of use, perceived academic impact, and factors encouraging AI engagement. The lottery ticket hypothesis proposes that large random neural networks contain sparse subnetworks that can match the performance of dense models after compara- ble training. A stronger version asserts that sufficiently overparameterized random networks contain subnetworks that are already accurate before any weight training. Existing theory establishes that such strong lottery tickets exist, but reliable ex- traction remains difficult. We revisit edge-popup, a frozen-weight score-training method for extracting strong tickets, and identify layerwise sparsity selection as a central bottleneck. One of the social phenomena, including the city of Qurna, is the phenomena of begging, which were distributed among the city’s neighboods and concentrated in the cities commercial, The study showed that number of male beggars incteasd by55% compared to females.The study also found different social effects, with high rates of domestic violence and social disintegration, in addition to the spread of bullying among them.The study also showed the causes of begging foremost among whoch was unemployment, poverty and various other causes.Finally, I give some suggestions to limit the spread of the phenomenon and to develop solutions for it.

Analyzing Energy Use In 2d & 3d Imaging Systems And Workflows, Michael J. Bennett

This study examines energy consumption in cultural heritage imaging systems and workflows, addressing a gap in sustainability research that has to date focused primarily on data storage infrastructure estimations. Using Home Assistant edge computing and Z-Wave smart plugs, seven distinct imaging systems were monitored over 203 hours, capturing 55,211 images, and rendering 2,448 objects. Results show an average energy requirement of 11.1 Wh per object, with an annual total of 747 kWh for digitization activities. Findings highlight opportunities to reduce energy demand and improve efficiency, such as automating continuous light shutoff and optimizing postprocessing routines that support institutional sustainability goals …

Family homelessness is a widespread crisis that disrupts the educational experiences of thousands of children, including South Carolina where rates of family homelessness continue to grow. Although research has explored families and homelessness, limited research has focused on the parental engagement of homeless parents. This study explored the parental engagement among homeless parents in South Carolina.

Guided by van Manen’s (1990) interpretive phenomenology, four parents residing in a South Carolina homeless shelter participated in semi-structured interviews and created self portraits, which were analyzed using the hermeneutic circle to derive phenomenological insight.

Within the counseling profession, African American women navigate unique challenges in the workplace, often experiencing microaggressions that contribute to stress, self-doubt, and emotional exhaustion. While systemic racial issues drive workplace microaggressions, counselor educators and supervisors remain ill-equipped to support African American women through the resulting burnout. The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore the lived experiences of African American women counselors to understand how microaggressions can lead to burnout and affect their psychological well-being. Stereolithography (SLA) is an additive manufacturing (AM) technique that utilizes photopolymerization to create three-dimensional shapes by strategically printing layers of material. Printing parameters such as layer orientation, print resolution and post cure can affect a specimen’s homogeneity, longevity and mechanical characteristics. Because of this variability, print parameters must be carefully considered when designing products and print processes for desired components, as manufacturers often fail to include all relevant print settings when advertising mechanical properties. Oral mucositis is one of the most prevalent and debilitating acute toxicities of radiotherapy-based treatment for patients with head and neck cancer (HNC) receiving concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CRT). Although it contributes to treatment interruptions, increased opioid use, nutritional compromise, and reduced quality of life, the ability to predict which patients will develop severe mucositis prior to or early in treatment remains limited. We aim to describe the incidence and severity of oral mucositis, measured by the MD Anderson Symptoms Inventory (MDASI) across treatment weeks in this cohort and analyze biological factors for mucositis, including biomarkers in the CBC with differential.

The ongoing U.S. Tax Court litigation Eaton Corp. v. Commissioner raises significant questions regarding the application of the arm’s-length standard to intra group financing. Eaton concerns interest deductions claimed by Eaton US, the U.S. subsidiary of Eaton PLC, on intercompany loans from Eaton Rest of World (Eaton RoW), a foreign affiliate owned by Eaton PLC, and deductions for fees paid to Eaton RoW by Eaton US for guaranteeing Eaton US’s third-party debt. The IRS disallowed approximately $296 million in interest deductions and $237 million of guarantee fee deductions.

Based on the concept of “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets”, this study investigates the theoretical connotation and accounting pathways of ecological GDP. (1) The core connotation of ecological value is elucidated from three dimensions—time, space, and civilization—and an economic quantification framework of principal–interest–interest rate is constructed.
