The inner surface pressure of an axisymmetric inlet/isolator model was measured using anodized-aluminum pressure-sensitive paint (PSP) viewing through cast acrylic. Temperaturesensitive paint was utilized to correct for the PSP’s temperature sensitivity. The model was tested under Mach 5.7 flow at 𝑹𝒆 = 7.1 ×106 /m under conventional noise conditions. Transverse jet injection with jet-to-inlet mass-flow ratios up to 0.8 was used to induce unstart in the inlet/isolator. Background-oriented schlieren visualization of the inlet shocks was collected simultaneously with the PSP to determine when the inlet unstarted. J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings entered Anglo-American popular consciousness as an emblem of 1960s, leftist youth culture, but the novel slowly gained currency across the political right. In the U.S., conservative intellectuals published book notes and articles on Tolkien’s writing in their movement’s leading journals, gradually habituating their readers to seeing the once-obscure English fantasist as a canonical writer for American conservatism. The most prominent of these journals was William F. Buckley’s National Review, which recurrently promoted Tolkien’s writing and offered a distinctly partisan interpretation of his texts. In this paper, we introduce a graph coloring game called the Edge-Distinguishing Game (EDGe). The edge-distinguishing chromatic number of a graph is used to determine the moves each player can make. We determine which player has a winning strategy for particular graphs and graph families. Additionally, utilizing principles from game theory as well as previous work on a computational solution for the Game of Cycles.

Cutaneous Leishmaniasis (CL) and Chagas Disease (CD) are both tropical vector borne diseases most common in endemic regions. CL is caused by a parasite spread through sandfly bites. CD is caused by the parasite transmitted through the feces of Triatomine bugs. They are not common in non-endemic regions resulting in lack of training and knowledge required to properly diagnose and treat these diseases. This study assesses how clinician knowledge and access to diagnostic tools influence testing practices for CL and CD in non-endemic regions and contribute to diagnostic bias, underrecognition, and delayed diagnosis.

This study evaluated whether HemaSpot HF (HF), a “next-generation” dry blood spot device, is suitable for remote HM collection and protein analysis. Therapeutic failure is largely driven by an immunosuppressive and therapy-resistant tumor microenvironment (TME). GBM progression depends on dysregulated receptor-mediated signaling pathways that regulate angiogenesis, immune evasion, stemness, metabolic adaptation, and phenotypic transition. High-Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer (HGSOC) remains the most lethal gynecologic malignancy. Although most patients achieve complete responses to frontline surgery and platinum-based chemotherapy, approximately 85% recur. These patients are incurable. Targeted therapies are emerging; however, they are often insufficient as monotherapy and may have overlapping toxicities in combination. Our preliminary data identified the combination of simurosertib (CDC7 inhibitor; CDC7i) and lunresertib (PKMYT1 inhibitor; PKMYT1i) as a promising strategy in recurrent HGSOC. Our findings also suggest that sequential administration may be beneficial compared to concomitant therapy. The question this study addresses is whether small Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF allocations actually improve the risk-adjusted performance of a traditional balanced retirement portfolio. Senior citizens are disproportionately targeted by cybercrime, yet many lack accessible resources for prevention and recovery. The SeniorSafeAI project explores how large language model (LLM) chatbots can provide reliable guidance to older adults experiencing or at risk of online fraud. We developed a chatbot trained on a “ground truth” dataset consisting of 589 question–answer pairs covering common cybercrime categories affecting seniors, including identity theft, romance scams, investment fraud, and fake tech support scams. Physical activity (PA) and sleep health are associated with cognition. However, limited research has examined the interactive effects of PA and sleep on domain-specific cognitive function in older adults. Although sex differences exist independently across all factors, sex-specific interactive investigations are limited. This study investigated whether the relationship between PA, sleep and cognition varies by sex in older adults. Older adults (N=119; Mage=68.3±5.6; 73 women) completed measures of insomnia severity (Insomnia Severity Index), physical activity (International Physical Activity Questionnaire) and cognition (NIH Toolbox-Cognitive Battery).
