This doctoral project is focused on the social work practice problem of limited understanding of how social workers experience clinical supervision in the context of imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome can affect confidence, decision making, and overall wellbeing, making it an important issue in clinical social work practice. The purpose of this study was to explore how social workers describe and make meaning of their supervision experiences involving feelings of imposter syndrome. The problem that was addressed through this study is that community college instructors struggle to implement universal design for learning (UDL) in Southeastern districts in the United States. Grounded in UDL, which was developed by the Center for Applied Technology, the purpose of this qualitative study was to explore community college instructors’ perceptions on the challenges they face when implementing UDL in their classroom. Background: Cross-disciplinary education is increasingly emphasized in nursing programs to prepare students for complex professional roles, yet little is known about their actual learning experiences. This study aimed to evaluate the learning outcomes of cross-disciplinary education among undergraduate nursing students and explore how such experiences influence their professional perspectives and career development.

Methods: Using a semi-structured, in-depth interview design, this study purposively recruited 13 nursing students who had participated in cross-disciplinary programs at a top research university in Taiwan. Nurses, who experience a critical incident as a sudden unexpected event, can be devastated as second victims (Buhlmann et al., 2021; Edrees & Wu, 2021). The associated psychological stress negatively impacts coping, resulting in an increased risk of fixating on or reliving the critical incident for many years (Buhlmann et al., 2021; Cantu, 2020; Harvey & Tapp, 2020). The consequential impact on coping increases the likelihood for second victims to experience secondary traumatic stress, post-traumatic stress disorder, or other mental health issues. These materials often present a narrow, idealized depiction of health and normalcy that does not reflect the diversity of real patient populations. Such portrayals can influence students’ perceptions of health, illness, and professional expectations in healthcare. Background: Nurses, the largest healthcare workforce, are often overlooked in AI design and implementation (Ronquillo et al., 2021). Excluding them can hinder adoption, as tools may disrupt rather than enhance workflows. Early engagement fosters trust, usability, and alignment with practice (van Steenis et al., 2025). ChatEHR is an institution-developed large language model integrated with the electronic medical record to help clinicians retrieve information efficiently. NRXN1 (2p16.3) is essential for synaptic function and has been implicated in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders. However, the phenotypic features associated with NRXN1 copy number variants remains incompletely characterised, which complicates risk assessment in genetic counselling. This case series describes five children, who were evaluated at the Genetics and Developmental Pediatrics Clinic of a tertiary care hospital in Muscat, Oman, from 2011 to 2023, with rare NRXN1 deletions (57–150 kb). Several studies show that restrictive covenants in employment contracts, such as non-compete agreements, may affect employees in detrimental ways, including by reducing mobility and suppressing wages. While such concerns are real, these clauses also have the potential to serve legitimate business purposes by helping companies protect valuable information, which can encourage investment and training and enhance social welfare. This paper explores the use of several types of covenants, including non-competes but also confidentiality and post-relationship non-recruitment clauses, in franchise contracts, an important and accessible category of business contracts. Academic procrastination is a common challenge among university students. Although students often understand what they need to do and when their work is due, they may still have difficulty starting tasks, maintaining progress, and avoiding digital distractions. Many existing productivity tools depend on individual self-discipline and provide limited social support. My thesis explores interaction methods that use peer accountability to help university students begin academic work and maintain consistent progress. Buddy Up aims to turn academic work from an isolated activity into a voluntary and mutually supportive accountability experience.

Microbial communities regulate essential ecological and metabolic processes across both engineered and host-associated ecosystems. Although these systems differ substantially in composition and function, they are governed by common ecological principles including community succession, resilience, species interactions, and responses to environmental and biological perturbations. This dissertation investigates how perturbations influence microbiome structure, function, and stability through three complementary studies spanning anaerobic digestion and the human gut microbiome. First, the effects of an extremophilic biological pretreatment using Caldicellulosiruptor bescii were evaluated in industrial-scale anaerobic digesters treating dairy manure. This Article proposes a new transdisciplinary agenda for global hate studies by connecting previously separate debates in anthropology and criminology. It draws on ongoing ethnographic and computational research, which investigates how Hindu nationalist (Hindutva) hate speech originating in India facilitates distinct forms of ethnic and religious exclusion in the United Kingdom and South Africa - two Indian diasporic centres that have recently witnessed escalating Hindu-Muslim conflict in markedly different ways. Aortic stenosis is the most prevalent valvular heart disease in North America. Its definitive treatments—surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)—carry a substantial burden of unplanned hospital readmission, which worsens patient outcomes, strains hospital capacity, and creates financial risk under value-based payment programs. Prior predictive work has largely focused on binary classification of 30-day readmission after TAVR. Such studies typically report predictor effects as odds or hazard ratios without validating patient-level probabilities, and neglect both the timing of readmission and the resources it consumes. Purpose: This quality improvement (QI) project aimed to increase the reliability of standardized, evidence-based safe sleep education for caregivers of infants aged 0–12 months in an outpatient pediatric cardiology clinic within an academic health system

Background: Sleep-related death is the leading cause of death among infants aged 1-11 months and the third leading cause of infant mortality overall and is closely associated with modifiable unsafe sleep practices. Safe sleep education is delivered inconsistently across settings, particularly during the hospital-to-home transition for infants with complex cardiac disease.

This study examines the conservation and transformation of the Ching Ang Methodist Church into the Methodist Heritage Gallery (MHG) in Sibu, Sarawak, highlighting its role in placemaking and identity construction within the Foochow-Methodist community. By exploring the interplay between colonial modernity, heritage interpretation, and ethno-religious provenance, the research situates MHG as a critical site of memory and cultural articulation. Using an interpretivist approach, this study employs building surveys, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis to investigate the architectural, social, and symbolic dimensions of the MHG.
