Exploring The Determinants Of Operating Room Utilization: A Scoping Review Of Influential Factors In Surgical Efficiency, Isma Sari Chumairah, Masyitoh Basabih
Jurnal ARSI : Administrasi Rumah Sakit Indonesia
Optimal utilization of the operating room (OR) is a crucial element in improving the efficiency of surgical services and hospital performance. This scoping review aimed to identify and map the factors influencing OR utilization based on recent scientific literature. We conducted a scoping review using the Population–Concept–Context (PCC) framework and reported it according to the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. We systematically searched PubMed, Scopus, and ScienceDirect for articles published between 2015 and 2025. Eligible studies were screened, and information on study characteristics and reported determinants of OR utilization was extracted and summarized descriptively. Forty studies were included. Graphite nozzles remain the dominant choice for small hybrid and solid rocket motors operating on laboratory and university budgets, owing to their low cost, ease of machining, and rapid turnaround during iterative design campaigns. These same programs, however, must contend with the fact that graphite erodes through coupled thermochemical and mechanical mechanisms when exposed to the oxidizing species generated by high-energy propellant combustion, and the resulting throat-area growth fundamentally alters the time histories of chamber pressure, thrust, and delivered specific impulse. "Your Problem Is Not At All An Uncommon One": Visibility, Black Men, And Sexual Orientation In The Anti-Apartheid And Civil Rights Movements, Wren Addison Weddell

The South African Anti-Apartheid Movement and the American Civil Rights Movement are two of the most well-known examples of racial liberation movements, but there are few scholarly works that offer comparisons between the two. Furthermore, the experiences of people who fall outside the bounds of heteronormative society are often overlooked in historical research on both movements. Despite the dearth in research, there are several key factors that are revealed when comparing the lives of Black non-heterosexual men among the activists for both of these movements, including the role of the global community, unique local cultures, and how the state polices …

This study explores the relationship between race, gender identity, sexuality, and prison sentence length using data from the Survey of Prison Inmates, 2016. While state and federal guidelines are ostensibly in place to prevent disparate sentencing outcomes, research still finds disparities in prison sentence lengths across identities of defendants. Women generally receive more lenient sentences than men, and may be shown chivalry when processed through the criminal legal system. However, qualifications for chivalrous treatment have historically only been accessible to certain women (i.e. cisgender, heterosexual, white women). The 1920s And The Distortion Of Democracy: The Fourteenth Census, The Fight Over Reapportionment, And Its Consequences, William L. Paine

Following the 1920 decennial census the United States Congress, for the first and only time in its history, failed to pass a reapportionment bill to redistribute representation in the House of Representative in a timely manner. Congress would debate and delay reapportionment for nearly a decade before finally passing the Permanent Apportionment Act of 1929, which provided for the next reapportionment after the 1930 census as well as for all future censuses. There were many factors that helped perpetuate the debate over reapportionment in the 1920s, some of which were unique to the decade and some of which weren’t. The …

Linen management is an important process in hospitals that is directly related to service quality and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) efforts. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of Lean Management in linen management at the laundry unit of RSU X and to evaluate its contribution to improving process efficiency and strengthening IPC practices. The study employed an operational research design with a qualitative approach through observation, in-depth interviews, and document review. Data analysis was conducted using Value Stream Mapping, waste identification based on the eight waste concept, and root cause analysis using the 5 Whys method. The results …
