Ingestion Of Cyanobacteria (Vulcanococcus Sp.) By The Rotifer Plationus Patulus, Aug Ningombam Apr 2025

Ingestion Of Cyanobacteria (Vulcanococcus Sp.) By The Rotifer Plationus Patulus, Aug Ningombam

John Wesley Powell Student Research Conference

Rotifers are small (≤ 1 mm) aquatic animals that live in freshwater and marine environments where they act as both predator and prey and serve as important members of food webs. Rotifers consume different forms of particulate foods and, depending on the species, may ingest bacteria, protists, phytoplankton, and other zooplankton. Recent increases in global temperature coupled with fertilizer runoff from agricultural and municipal lands have resulted in increases in the distribution and abundance of cyanobacteria in freshwater environments; under certain conditions cyanobacteria populations can experience explosions (blooms) where cell concentrations can exceed 105 / mL. We evaluated the ability …

Iraqi Journal for Computer Science and Mathematics

In this paper, a new lightweight U-Net deep learning-based neural network designed for the segmentation of skin lesions is proposed. Segmentation of skin lesions is the most critical step in computer-aided dermatology diagnosis for the early detection of melanoma and other diseases. However, we address the difficulty related to the precise definition of the lesion margins with an eye on the computation cost. We have demonstrated the state-of-the-art performance of DeepSkinSeg in most metrics on dermoscopic images using the PH2 and Human Against Machine (HAM10000) datasets. The metrics of the DeepSkinSeg model were robustness measured as the Intersection over Union …

L’Intertextualité Ou Quand Les Imaginaires Culturels Se Rencontrent, Lamiae Khayi Apr 2025

L’Intertextualité Ou Quand Les Imaginaires Culturels Se Rencontrent, Lamiae Khayi

Dirassat

The literary text, regardless of its authors, does not carry a single, unequivocal voice anchored in an experience identifiable in a space situated in a specific time. This statement may provoke astonishment. Yet, this text, a complex reality in itself, like the canvas, invites a new way of reading and interpreting. This would allow us to discover either the constructive dialogue of proximity; or the echo of inter-personal violence; both revealed through the intertext. This article will attempt to examine this dual dimension in the work of Mohamed Nedali, thanks to Jean De La Fontaine.

L’Isotopie Intertextuelle, Jawad Hazim Apr 2025

L’Isotopie Intertextuelle, Jawad Hazim

Dirassat

Textual cross-referencing is one of the major issues that characterize critical thinking. Between production and reception, the subject/reader is crossed by many forms of intertextual relations: rewriting, parody, prohibition, etc.; hence the reflection on intertextuality which has caused many inks to flow both in literary studies and in the sciences of language.

The present work begins a reflection on the relations between literary texts under the auspices of isotopic relations. It is therefore a question of establishing intertextual constructions on an isotopic basis between a mythological substrate, the Odyssey, and the work of Amélie Nothomb, La biographie de la Faim: …

Etude De La Bruyère Et De Youssouf Amine Elalamy : Peindre Les Mœurs D’Une Société, Fatima_Zahrae El Moatacime Apr 2025

Etude De La Bruyère Et De Youssouf Amine Elalamy : Peindre Les Mœurs D’Une Société, Fatima_Zahrae El Moatacime

Dirassat

Writer of several works of short form, Youssouf Amine Elalamy has a work written in Moroccan Arabic تقرقيب الناب which literally means chatter. This work depicts individuals in portraits inspired by Moroccan society. Like the famous classical philosopher La Bruyère, Elalamy depicts society in various fragments, devoted to different human types. تقرقيب الناب has countless points in common with The Characters. In Elalamy work, like La Bruyère, each portrait is introduced by the first name of the character described. Except that with Elalamy we are dealing with double portraits, he builds them in diptychs. The writer adds to the …

Etude Sémantique Des Isotopies Dans Le Discours Des Femmes D’Aît Znassen En Chantant Eṣ-Ṣǝff, Naima Boujemaaoui, Mohammed Kembouche, Mohammed Elbouziki Apr 2025

Etude Sémantique Des Isotopies Dans Le Discours Des Femmes D’Aît Znassen En Chantant Eṣ-Ṣǝff, Naima Boujemaaoui, Mohammed Kembouche, Mohammed Elbouziki

Dirassat

This article takes stock of a reflection on the different isotopic relationships woven in the song of women eṣ-ṣeff by Aît Znassen. This reflection is essentially based on the analysis of five isotopies, namely generic, specific, mixed, inherent and afferent isotopies. The study of these isotopies has shown that, although they have points in common insofar as they are all based on the recurrence of one or more semes, they have, in exchange, points of divergence, due to the fact that each of them has a property that distinguishes it from other isotopies. This analysis also made it possible to …

Déréalisation Du Monde : Simulacre Et Facticité Dans La Société Marchande Moderne. Etude Du Phénomène À La Lumière Des Œuvres De Michel Houellebecq, Omar Benjelloun Apr 2025

Déréalisation Du Monde : Simulacre Et Facticité Dans La Société Marchande Moderne. Etude Du Phénomène À La Lumière Des Œuvres De Michel Houellebecq, Omar Benjelloun

Dirassat

The Western world today employs an ignominious strategy to induce individuals to favor form over substance, appearance over meaning, and purpose over being. Reality should be wrapped up, truth concealed, authenticity discarded in favor of rapacious advertising that has one and only objective: to induce society to consume.

Sebta / Ceuta : Entre Marketing Architectural Et Communication Identitaire À Outrance : Quelle Éthique ?, Amal Ben Attou

Dirassat

Spanish architecture, in its volume, aesthetics, and architectural details, is of great importance in its northern Mediterranean context. However, its implantation, its duplication, and, above all, its communication to politics, both cosmopolitan and transnational, without any idealistic or imaginative connection, nor with the local vernacular, the native society, and with the aim of profit and the affirmation of a power apparatus focused on a bygone past, seriously lays the foundations for a communication devoid of ethics or morality.

Discours Romanesque, Médiation Et Vivre-Ensemble, Ahmed Bouftouh Apr 2025

Discours Romanesque, Médiation Et Vivre-Ensemble, Ahmed Bouftouh

Dirassat

This article is concerned with an intercultural mediation whose three poles are the novelistic discourse, the literary critic and the audience. In other words, by calling upon theoretical contributions from semiotics and ethical criticism, we intend to see what a literary criticism dedicated to living together would consist of. More precisely, we first highlight the focal points that the literary critic, being in a median position between a work of fiction and its potential receiver, would be expected to make explicit. In a second step, we show how a work on textual values would be necessary for a successful intercultural …

La Traduction Littéraire Entre Éthique Et Critique, Amal Arrame Apr 2025

La Traduction Littéraire Entre Éthique Et Critique, Amal Arrame

Dirassat

The responsibility that derives from translating is not only a responsibility linked to the practice of translation as a profession, but a responsibility towards intercultural exchange. Recent translation studies, particularly in Europe and North America, have focused on the author of the source, the translator (whom we prefer to call the second author), the editor and finally the reader. Indeed, translation should be conceived as two connection situations: one is interlinguistic, the other is intercultural. The letter in a literary work is a web, delicately woven of several domains, knowledge and factors; translating this sublime production into another language supposes …

Les Soft Skills Au Cœur De La Pédagogie Interculturelle, Oifâa Mtafi, Mustapha Tijjini

Dirassat

Soft skills have an essential role in intercultural pedagogy in the sense that they enable social interaction. Thus, they find their place in intercultural pedagogy because society is becoming more and more multicultural, but they also enable people to be equipped with the behavioural and human competences necessary to accept the Other in his or her difference. In this perspective, the integration of soft skills in intercultural pedagogy in university education cannot be neglected. However, as this term is still new in the Moroccan university system, the question that arises is: What exactly is the place of soft skills in …

Spécificités Du Discours De L’Enseignant : Entre Gestes D’Institutionnalisation Et De Reformulation, Malika Kaheraoui, Stéphanie Volteau

Dirassat

Our study attempts to demonstrate the value of exploring teacher discourse, particularly two gestures that we describe as linguistic and didactic gestures. This analysis is intended as a way to describe some of the processes inherent in teacher discourse, especially when the appropriation of knowledge is central to teaching action (Bucheton and Soulé 2009) and this action can only be understood through the paradigm of co-activity, in which language appears as "a window onto teaching activity" (Bucheton and Dezutter, 2008: 13). The work of the teacher in the school context is essentially linguistic; it is a spoken profession. But this …

Le Changement Des Pratiques Éducatives À L’Ère De La Covid-19, Maryam Chawki Apr 2025

Le Changement Des Pratiques Éducatives À L’Ère De La Covid-19, Maryam Chawki

Dirassat

The Covid-19 pandemic has led to the adoption of distance learning instead of face-to-face teaching. Thus, educational practices have taken a new breath of change in the different cycles of education. This situation implied the adoption of a new improvised and imposed didactic discourse, a new posture, and another way of communication and interaction with the learners. The tools used were adapted quickly to serve this immediate need.

This communication will observe the different tools used to facilitate the work of mediation between French teachers and primary school students. We will also question the effectiveness of remote interaction between them. …

Dirassat

Establishing a school climate that is conducive to learning and favorable to the achievement and well-being of all is the major challenge that Moroccan schools are trying to take up, even though many structural, cultural, pedagogical and institutional biases persist.

Ensuring the well-being of everyone within the school organization is a collegial approach requiring the involvement of all educational stakeholders in a positive synergy that allows students to learn together in better conditions and to prepare them to live in society with respect for others and tolerance for differences.

The school as a space of socialization works towards the emergence …

Dirassat

In the digital age, social media have supplanted traditional media, and social media have developed new forms of communication and expression. Moroccan Internet users have also seized this tool to freely express their opinions on many topics that occupy and concern them, including the one in our article: women. Through a corpus of video comments, our analysis revealed the following points: three languages are used by Moroccan Internet users: first, French, then Darija, and finally Standard Arabic. But a correlation quickly emerged between the gender of Internet users, the theme, and the language used; Standard Arabic is thus favored by …

La Communication Publicitaire, Khalil Khyati Apr 2025

La Communication Publicitaire, Khalil Khyati

Dirassat

If advertising discourse is governed by a clear communicative intention, the goal of which is to encourage the potential consumer to become a true consumer of the product or service, then the question to be addressed is: how does this transition occur, and through what communicative forms and discursive mechanisms? This article attempts to answer these questions by analyzing the mechanisms that guide the construction of the advertising message and determine the interpretation process.

Le Discours Sur La Modernité Dans L’Œuvre D’Abdelwahab Meddeb, Azzelarab Touda Apr 2025

Le Discours Sur La Modernité Dans L’Œuvre D’Abdelwahab Meddeb, Azzelarab Touda

Dirassat

Any discourse on modernity involves the way of being, thinking and creating and remains strongly linked to the political, ideological and cultural climates that saw it born and evolve, hence thoughts and expressions managed, ipso facto, either in the relationship of fidelity to genealogical belonging, or in that of hospitable overcoming with regard to the other. However, strangely, the discourse on modernity of the writer-poet and essayist Abdelwahab Meddeb is driven by a faithful infidelity with regard to his auroral scene. This duality permeates the Meddebian work of dyonysism and apollinism under the aegis of modernity which frames, at …

Le Recours Aux Procédés De Reformulation Dans Les Articles Scientifiques De Vulgarisation, Ilham Elarrachi

Dirassat

Reformulation as a (metadiscursive) linguistic device is often used by science journalists to convey specific scientific knowledge to often uninitiated readers. It generally consists of repeating the same words, the same discourse in another way. It manifests itself particularly in scientific, media etc. This communication aims to show the importance of reformulation in the transmission of scientific knowledge related to the field of health. Our objective is to see in what circumstances the scientific journalist uses the processes of reformulation. The data analyzed come from a corpus composed of a set of journalistic articles dealing with subjects related to the …

Particularités Discursives Du Slogan Électoral Des Partis Politiques Marocains, Amina Erradi Apr 2025

Particularités Discursives Du Slogan Électoral Des Partis Politiques Marocains, Amina Erradi

Dirassat

The electoral slogan, this short of linguistic form, is an intrument of political mobilization, having a certain role in the choice of voters. Through these syntactic and rhetorical characteristics, the slogan influences the orientation of the opinions of the receivers. Politicians use it to ratify their commitments and strengthen their position. This aphorizing construction will serve both to confirm the identity of political parties and to validate the relevance of their programs. In our contribution, we will focus on the study of the discursive strategies inherent in the electoral slogan, used by Moroccan political parties during the electoral campaign conducted …
