هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على مستوى دافعية أعضاء هيئة التدريس في قسم مهارات تطوير الذات في عمادة السنة الأولى المشتركة بجامعة الملك سعود، والكشف عن العلاقة بين مستوى دافعيتهم وبين مستوى تحصيل طلابهم، ومستوى تقييم طلابهم لهم، وكذلك الكشف عن الفروق بين مستوى دافعية أعضاء هيئة التدريس في قسم مهارات تطوير الذات تبعاً لمتغير النوع (ذكور – إناث). وتم إعداد مقياس مستوى الدافعية وبلغت عباراته (43) عبارة وتطبيقه على عينة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس في قسم مهارات تطوير الذات في عمادة السنة الأولى المشتركة بلغت (52) بواقع (32) من الذكور و(20) من الإناث، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن استجابات عينة …

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى فحص جودة البرامج التعليمية المقدمة لطلاب المدارس الابتدائية ذوي الإعاقات الفكرية في الفصول الدراسية الشاملة في المدينة المنورة. استخدمت هذه الدراسة نهجًا تحليليًا وصفيًا للتحقيق في جودة البرامج التعليمية لطلاب المدارس الابتدائية ذوي الإعاقات الفكرية في الفصول الدراسية الشاملة في المدينة المنورة، المملكة العربية السعودية. تم توزيع استبيان طوره الباحث على 231 معلمًا وأولياء أمور هؤلاء الطلاب لتقييم وجهات نظرهم حول جودة البرنامج والتحديات والتحسينات المحتملة. أشارت النتائج إلى أن المعلمين ينظرون إلى جودة البرنامج على أنها "عالية"، بينما صنفها الآباء على أنها "عالية جدًا". لوحظت تناقضات في الأهمية المتصورة للمهارات الأكاديمية مقابل المهارات الحياتية، مما …

تناولت الدراسة الحالية المواطنة الإعلامية كتوجه حديث للتربية على المواطنة في المملكة العربية السعودية. استخدمت الدراسة منهجاً مختلطاً يشمل الوثائقي والنوعي عبر أسلوب النظرية المتجذرة. شملت الدراسة الوثائق المرتبطة بالمواطنة الإعلامية من حيث ماهيتها، نشأتها، أهدافها، مجالاتها، أهميتها، أبعادها، وعلاقتها بالدراسات الاجتماعية في مراحل التعليم العام. اشتملت عينة الدراسة على 12 خبيراً في مجالات المواطنة والإعلام والدراسات الاجتماعية التربوية، واستخدمت المقابلات شبه المقننة لرصد تصوراتهم، مع التأكد من الموضوعية والموثوقية. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن المواطنة الإعلامية لها أبعاد إعلامية وتربوية متعددة، وتظهر بوضوح في المشاركة المدنية والسياسية والانفتاح على النقد. تهدف إلى أن يكون المواطن مطلعاً على مختلف القضايا في …

Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources (GCDWR) manages approximately 200 construction projects simultaneously, incurring significant annual engineering support costs—$6.6 million in 2023 alone. GCDWR has engaged our team to determine whether current contractor spending yields sufficient value. Using one year of invoice data provided by GCDWR, our project aims to:

• Evaluate and validate contractor invoices for consistency with original proposals

• Establish data-driven benchmarks to assess and predict appropriate engineering costs based on project characteristics

• Develop a system that streamlines invoice tracking and discrepancy detection

• Reduce overall engineering support spending for future projects

Senior Design Project For Engineers

This report aims to lay out our design process for the missile interceptor aircraft. Our Talon Interceptor is an inexpensive, scaled-down, autonomous F-16 for mass production. The aircraft can ascend quickly for mission requirements while avoiding detection with its internal weapons bay. Multiple decisions have been made to ensure the initial and maintenance costs are reasonable without compromising the missions. TOPSIS reviews have been used to measure significant components unbiasedly and objectively. Our aircraft meets all the AIAA requirements while coming in under budget.

Electric power systems are undergoing a major transition from a centralized to a decentralized operation paradigm, driven by the rapid adoption of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs). While increased DER penetration contributes to consumer empowerment, energy security, and system flexibility, it also introduces challenges involving grid stability, load variability, and infrastructure constraints. The Entrepreneurial Mindset (EM) has been acknowledged as beneficial for engineers entering the workforce in a constantly advancing society. With an EM, professional engineers are better equipped to be innovative, creative, and translate ideas into reality. However, assessing how students develop an EM has been plagued with difficulties, mainly due to the discrepancy in EM definitions between different fields. This dissertation applies three EM assessment methods guided by one theoretical framework: the Triad of EM, which contextualizes EM into cognitive, behavioral, and emotional dimensions. This study examines Fremont mortuary practices in Sevier County, Utah, through a systematic analysis of 50 individuals, recovered mainly from Late period sites. While Fremont burials are typically described as highly variable, the Sevier County sample reveals a striking pattern: approximately half of the individuals exhibit evidence of processing and were left scattered on structure floors rather than being intentionally buried. This pattern stands in contrast to the widely accepted description of Fremont burials as consisting mainly of individuals buried separately in expedient pits with minimal grave goods. The Effect Of Lexical Characteristics On Speech Pausing For People With Broca's Aphasia, Anna Kathryn Walker Smith

This study examines the connection between speech pause patterns and the lexical characteristics of the words that follow. Speech samples of 16 people with moderate Broca's aphasia and 16 age-matched neurologically healthy controls were evaluated in terms of word length, word frequency in the English language, syntactic category, and articulatory complexity. In general, people with aphasia (PWA) produced pauses more frequently before monosyllabic, very high frequency words with lower articulatory complexity, most of which were content words. The length of these pauses did not significantly correlate with any of the lexical factors examined in this study. The control group had …

Chronotypes have been shown to affect various aspects of life including health and day to day activities such as eating and exercising (Pacheco & Rehman, 2022). Research also indicates that chronotypes can have a direct impact on a person’s mood (Kim et al., 2021). The purpose of the current study was to examine the relationship between peoples’ chronotype and their mood at a sporting event. A Different Way to Hear is a 32-page children’s storybook project designed to promote early exposure to American Sign Language (ASL) and foster cultural awareness of Deaf identity. The story follows a hearing child who, through friendship with a Deaf peer, learns to experience the world through senses beyond sound. Inspired by research on ASL acquisition, Deaf Studies, and inclusive education practices, the book naturally integrates ASL into the narrative and illustrations to model visual communication strategies for young readers. This work investigates the transient performance and stability of CO₂/H₂O co-electrolysis in an air-free environment using a flat-tube solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) stack. The results show that the transient behavior of the stack with and without blowing gas in the air electrode is almost the same. With a current density of 0.67 A·cm⁻²@750 °C, the stack operated for over 200 h under co-electrolysis conditions with no air blowing, and the voltage drop rate of the stack was approximately 0.203%/100 hours. An important component of this device is the Membrane electrode assembly (MEA). Therefore, this study aimed to compare the performance outcomes of MEA using electrodes with single and three catalyst layers.
