This article analyzes how the international media organization Deutsche Welle (DW) frames the issue of environmentalism in Indonesia through its Arabic-language documentary video entitled “Al-Islam al-Akhdhar” (Green Islam). Given Indonesia’s crucial position in the context of global climate change, the documentary highlights the intersection of ecological movements and Islamic values. Le Hérisson tells the story of two central characters, Paloma and Renée, who each search for meaning and self-identity amid the pressures of their social environment. Furthermore, the lens lipids and cholesterol (Chol) composition significantly change with age and cataract formation. Despite this, the relationship between αAc deamidation and lens membrane composition in cataractogenesis remains unclear. India’s nutrition profile reflects a nutrition transition rather than a single narrative: a rapidly escalating burden of diet-related non-communicable disease, including an estimated 101 million people with diabetes, coexists with a severe and worsening burden of micronutrient deficiency, with anaemia affecting 57% of women and 67.1% of children. This narrative review examines millets, small-seeded cereals historically marginalised in Indian diets in favour of rice and wheat, as a preventive dietary intervention with plausible relevance to both ends of this transition.
