Building An Inclusive Workforce: Closing Equity Gaps In Community Colleges And Vocational Schools With Elliott’S Embodied Inclusion 360 Framework Plain Language Summary, Niki Elliott Ph.D.

Inclusion in Postsecondary Education

This paper explains why community colleges and vocational schools need to do more to support students who are neurodiverse (such as students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or mental health conditions), especially students of color and men of color. Community colleges and vocational schools serve millions of students and are often the main path to good-paying jobs in the skilled trades. However, many students who enroll, especially students with disabilities and students of color, do not complete their programs. The article argues that schools must move beyond basic disability accommodations and instead redesign how they teach, support, and structure learning environments.

Infant mortality remains a worrying public health issue, particularly in areas with poor access to drinking water and sanitation. In 2020, Papua Province recorded an infant mortality rate of 49.04 per 1,000 live births and West Papua 47.23. These figures are far above the national average. This study aims to determine the relationship between access to safe drinking water and infant mortality rates in provinces in Indonesia. This study used an ecological design with secondary data from the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey and the 2023 Directorate of Public Health. Background: This study explores the integration of the social dimension of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles within the banking sector, using the GRI 400 standards as a guiding framework. Method: Drawing on qualitative data from 18 employees at different levels ranging from outsourcing staff to Group Head level at one of Indonesian private bank. Findings: The findings reveal a clear gap between formal ESG metrics and employees’ real-life experiences. Employee awareness and perceptions differ notably by position, with higher level employees often showing greater responsiveness and a stronger intention to integrate sustainability into their daily work. This research paper addresses a contemporary topic: shopping vouchers. It explores the legitimacy of issuing and selling such vouchers from an Islamic legal perspective. In the first chapter, the paper defines shopping vouchers and categorizes their different types. The second chapter discusses the Sharia-based justification for issuing shopping vouchers, whether free of charge or for a price, as well as the ruling on selling them after acquisition. The study concludes that these vouchers are independent financial instruments that hold recognized monetary value under Islamic law. This study examines the jurisdiction over administrative disputes in Omani law in light of Royal Decree No. (35/2022), which amends Royal Decree No. (91/1999) establishing the Administrative Court and enacting its law. Stunting remains a major problem in Indonesia, particularly in Depok City, West Java. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing stunting in Sawangan District. The study design used is a cross-sectional study, analyzing test variables such as stunting incidence, maternal characteristics (age, education, maternal nutritional status during pregnancy, and personal hygiene), and toddler factors (exclusive breastfeeding status and LBW incidence) using univariate, bivariate (chi-square test), and multivariate (binary logistic regression) analyses. Immune tolerance balances immune responses with self-tolerance, a balance that is directive by epigenetic pathways. These mechanisms responsible for gene expression regulation and immune cell activity, and include DNA methylation, histone modifications, and non-coding RNAs. Dental caries is the most common disease that poses a threat to human health. As a result, caries prevention is crucial because it is now a major global public health issue. Nowadays, there is more focus on employing nanoscale medication delivery devices to prevent dental cavities. Here, an antibacterial activity of CDs synthesis with allover plant by measuring the turbidity and bacterial colony after the effect of CDs NPs on the one-off gram-positive bacteria streptococcus mutans that cause dental caries. The results showed significant (p < 0.05) concentration of 10, 15, 25 μ g/mL of CDs NPs. Fourier transmission infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) analysis showed the effect of CDs NPs on the bacterial cell, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) that showed the size, shape and the attachment of Nanoparticles to the bacterial cell wall that support the effect of nanoparticles on bacteria. When compared to chemical and physical procedures, environmentally friendly technologies can produce simple, easy, and affordable nanoparticles. has the capacity to function as antimicrobial agents.

Metabolic syndrome has emerged as an important health concern globally, especially in developing countries where urbanization and lifestyle changes are rapidly increasing. No reliable epidemiological information regarding the prevalence and risk factors associated with metabolic syndrome is available among Iraqi adults in primary health care (PHC) clinics. Background: Enterobacter cloacae have challenged global health through nosocomial infections, especially among immunocompromised patients. In the most overburdened healthcare systems, more study and strategy are anticipated. Aim of the study: To determine the prevalence of Enterobacter cloacae in hospital-acquired infections in Baghdad hospitals and to evaluate its antimicrobial resistance patterns across burn, wound, and urine samples, with a focus on multidrug resistance and antibiotic resistance trends.
