Upcycling Pomelo Peel And Eggplant Biomass Into Form-Stable Pcms, Xiao-Mei Yang, Guang-Zhong Yin

Eggplant tissue and pomelo peel waste were converted into lightweight biomass porous foams via freeze-drying and subsequently used as sustainable scaffolds for shape-stable PCMs. Paraffin (PA) and PEG 20 K were incorporated into the biomass-derived foams, where the naturally interconnected cellular structures provided abundant capillary channels for PCM uptake and confinement. The resulting composites achieved high PCM loadings of 81.44–93.50 wt%. The melting enthalpies of Eggplant-PA, Pomelo-PA, Eggplant-20K, and Pomelo-20K reached 169.31, 166.11, 155.76, and 143.56 J g⁻¹ , respectively, confirming their considerable latent heat storage capability. Graduate students experience substantial academic, personal, and professional demands that can negatively affect well-being and persistence. For students enrolled in professional programs, belonging may develop within two overlapping communities: the academic institution and the emerging profession. Institutional and professional belonging can provide connection, support, engagement, and opportunities for identity and professional development. This paper synthesizes literature on these two forms of belonging and proposes a conceptual framework describing their potential relationship with whole-person formation and flourishing. Whole-person formation extends graduate education beyond knowledge acquisition and professional competence to include development across interconnected dimensions of the person. The Trump Account policy launched on July 4, 2026, offering investment accounts to all U.S. children who are under 18 and have a Social Security number. On July 3, the Social Security Administration announced that it will integrate Trump Account enrollment into the hospital birth-registration process through the agency’s Enumeration at Birth (EAB) Program. This could be a positive step toward automatic enrollment and full participation. Purpose: The purpose of this quality improvement intervention was to assess whether a structured home blood pressure (BP) monitoring program with weekly check-ins would help decrease hypotensive episodes and associated adverse events in patients who have lost weight after GLP-1 agonist initiation.

Purpose: This quality improvement project aimed to implement a standardized measles susceptibility screening strategy for perinatal patients at a large academic teaching hospital in Texas. The project aimed to improve provider compliance with routine measles immunity screening and laboratory ordering by integrating screening into existing prenatal workflows. Background: Measles remains a highly contagious disease, and ongoing outbreaks in Texas showed gaps in prenatal measles immunity screening. Job satisfaction among clinical staff is a key factor in retention, engagement, and quality of care. Outpatient specialty clinics often face workflow constraints that limit opportunities for structured professional development, which may negatively affect staff satisfaction. The practice gap addressed in this Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) staff education project was the inconsistent documentation completion of evidence-based depression follow-up actions for patients with severe depression in an outpatient mental health clinic. National clinical practice guidelines recommend that patients with clinically significant depression receive timely, documented follow-up that includes appropriate treatment planning, behavioral health follow-up, medication management when clinically indicated, and repeat symptom reassessment. This capstone researches the development, implementation, and evaluation of a Junior Master Naturalist (JMN) 4-H Special Interest (SPIN) Club, a pilot environmental education program for high-school students in South Suburban Cook County, Illinois. Through a partnership among University of Illinois Extension – Serving Cook County, the Forest Preserves of Cook County, and the Friends of the Forest Preserves, JMN addressed two goals: increasing 4-H participation and engagement among high-school aged youth and encouraging high-school aged participation in local forest preserves spaces. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) waste represents both an environmental burden and a loss of carbon resources. Alkaline depolymerization of PET yields terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol (EG). Electrocatalytic oxidation of EG to glycolic acid (GA), the monomer of biodegradable polyglycolic acid (PGA), offers a sustainable route driven by renewable electricity. PurposeThis study aims to explore the travel motivations and preferences of Indian outbound tourists, segmented by motivation and sociodemographic traits.Design/methodology/approachUsing a quantitative research approach, the study administered a structured questionnaire via SurveyMonkey to potential Indian outbound travellers. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was used to identify key motivational factors, followed by hierarchical and k-means cluster analyses to derive and validate traveller segments.FindingsThe EFA revealed a five-factor structure comprising culture and heritage; adventure and aquatic activities; business and luxury; affordability and ease; and spatial-cultural proximity. Politics has long been constructed as a masculine arena dominated by discourses of power, authority, and instrumental rationality. The presence of female legislators disrupts this hegemony by foregrounding empathetic modes of political communication that emphasize inclusivity, relational engagement, and responsiveness to social realities. These communicative practices not only contest dominant masculine norms in political discourse but also expand deliberative spaces and support the formulation of gender-responsive public policies. Seclusion remains a restrictive intervention used in inpatient psychiatric settings despite evidence linking it to psychological trauma, physical harm, and adverse patient outcomes. This Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) staff education project evaluated the effectiveness of a trauma-informed care and de-escalation education program in improving nurses' confidence in managing patient escalation. The project used a pre- and post-intervention quality improvement design with 24 inpatient psychiatric nurses. Participants completed a 10-item, 5-point Likert-scale confidence survey before and after a 30-minute educational session delivered via PowerPoint. Delirium is a preventable and manageable neuropsychiatric condition characterized by acute fluctuations in attention, awareness, and cognition. The burden of this acute confusion syndrome among older adults aged > 65 years is disproportionate higher, due to age-related neurocognitive vulnerabilities. Nurse-led delirium prevention interventions can reduce incidence from 70% to 20% following structured education, gaps persist in nursing knowledge around evidence-based prevention strategies. Summary This quality improvement project evaluated an organizational process change from a reactive, pharmacy-initiated prior authorization (PA) process to a standardized, proactive PA workflow for glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists in an outpatient primary care clinic. The evidence-based practice PICOT question was: In adult primary care patients prescribed GLP-1 receptor agonists (P), does a standardized, proactive prior authorization workflow (I), compared with a reactive pharmacy-initiated process (C), reduce time to approval and improve approval rate (O) over a 4-week period (T)?
