A midwestern Jesuit university worked to align an existing IPE program with a new core curriculum and its corresponding student learning outcomes (SLO’s). This paper describes the collaborative curriculum development process used within an institution to develop its first University Core Curriculum. The University-core curriculum development process resulted in a framework, outcomes, and essential criteria associated with nine student learning outcomes (SLO’s). To address this new framework, faculty developed new and revised IPE learning experiences to align with University SLO’s and core attributes. Our center for teaching and learning at a mid-sized, private, Catholic, Midwest university responded to recent challenges and opportunities presented by current sociopolitical factors (such as ongoing racial injustice, global conflict, the climate crisis, and the aftermath of a global health pandemic) by rethinking our approach to teaching and learning. It argues that theology education thrives when students engage with reflective, creative, and relevant content. Drawing from experiences at a Jesuit college and education research, it introduces the OAEPA strategy—Observation, Analysis, Evaluation, Production, and Assessment—as a framework for designing theology courses. A student-centered coaching program grounded in Jesuit and Mercy traditions, called “Coaching for Care,” was implemented at a midwestern Jesuit and Mercy institution. The purpose of the project was to evaluate the development of future nurse educators’ pedagogy, foster holistic licensure examination preparation among pre-licensure nursing students, and examine students’ perceptions towards the program’s guiding Jesuit and Mercy values. Pre-licensure students who received coaching felt that their uniqueness/holism, accountability, and reflection were important for their licensure exam preparation at significantly higher rates than pre-licensure students who did not receive coaching. The author, drawing on his personal experience, offers a clear reflection and methodology for common discernment, inspired by the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. The difficulties and problems are noted, as are the possibilities and potential of this proposal. The process is certainly complex. It requires great generosity and willingness on the part of all those involved, but as the author concludes, “it works.” We are faced with a proposal of Ignatian spirituality that can enrich and illuminate the new paths of synodality along which the Church is journeying.

Low engagement in voluntary leadership roles negatively impacts organizational effectiveness, membership renewals, engagement, referrals, and growth opportunities. This study investigated the factors that hinder women leaders working in Georgia's higher education institutions from engaging in volunteer roles within professional organizations. The central research question was, "How can the problem of decreased engagement and participation be resolved?" These barriers limited women's willingness to pursue leadership opportunities, categorized into work-life and organizational barriers. Intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) denotes bleeding inside the skull, which can occur in or around the brain. Computed tomography (CT) has been used to detect ICH due to its high efficiency and accuracy. Nowadays, deep learning model design is introduced to allow an accurate and efficient classification of ICH in CT images. This work focused on developing U-Net-based models for the segmenting of ICH. Ewingella americana is a Gram-negative rod belonging to the order Enterobacterales and comprises only species of the genus Ewingella. The pathogenic potential of E. americana in humans was not clearly understood previously. E. americana has rarely been reported globally and is considered opportunistic pathogen among immunocompromised individuals. We reported a case of catheter-associated urinary tract infection due to E. americana from a tertiary care medical teaching institute from Uttar Pradesh, India. E. Americana was identified by VITEK-2 compact automated system which was reconfirmed by conventional biochemical tests. Fusarium is a soil fungus and plant pathogen. Invasive infections by this fungus have been reported in immunocompromised patients. Here, we report a case of obstructive uropathy by Fusarium solani infection in an immunocompetent young woman who was misdiagnosed as urolithiasis of the right pelvicalyceal system in ultrasonogram. Later, on removal, it was proved to be F. solani infection.

Pediatric embryonal tumors have a rare occurrence in the peripheral nervous system. A more aberrant location is the extradural space, with only 25 cases being reported in literature. The seemingly innocuous symptoms can often be misleading as a sprain, and in our country, where tuberculosis is endemic, it can even be perceived as Pott’s spine, and therefore, leads to a delayed intervention for these rapidly progressive malignancies.
