Indonesia ranks second globally in the number of tuberculosis (TB) cases, accounting for 10% of all global cases. In the working area of Kenarilang Public Health Center, 951 confirmed TB cases were recorded as of October 2024. Close contacts of TB patients are at high risk of infection and may become new sources of transmission if not properly managed. Knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) among close contacts play a crucial role in TB prevention, aligning with the target of TB elimination by 2030. In Indonesia, there were more than 58,000 new breast cancer cases with nearly 23,000 deaths in 2020. Radiotherapy is one of the adjuvant therapy modalities for breast cancer. Interruptions of more than five days increase the risk of local recurrence. This study aimed to describe the risk factors associated with prolonged overall treatment time (OTT) in breast cancer patients at Dr. Kariadi General Hospital during 2023. This was a cross-sectional study using bivariate logistic regression analysis to examine the association between national holidays, deterioration of general condition, age, residence, and type of surgery prior to radiation therapy with prolonged OTT. …

Non-adherence to scheduled antiretroviral (ARV) medication pickup can reduce treatment effectiveness, increase the risk of drug resistance, and contribute to poor HIV infection control. This study aimed to identify factors associated with missed ARV pickup appointments among people living with HIV/AIDS in Bekasi District. An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted using secondary data from HIV/AIDS patients undergoing ARV therapy in 2023–2024. Data were analyzed descriptively (univariate), using Chi-square tests (bivariate), and log-binomial regression (multivariate). Among 811 patients, 341 (42%) were recorded as non-adherent to their medication pickup schedule. The results showed that having an unsuppressed viral load (>50 copies/ml) …

Women writers have always contributed to literary development, but their works and thoughts have been structurally forgotten and erased. We conducted this research to unearth women writers' lives, works, and thoughts, which continue to be ignored in literary studies. We use feminist qualitative method and literature review technique to study literary initiatives from women writers in the past such as women-only periodicals. This research uses Virginia Woolf's thoughts as an analytical tool, and our findings show that the women-only space initiative was a response to the mainstream literary ecosystem's lack of support for women writers in various eras and countries. …

A compound (kompositum) is a construction formed through word formation by combining two or more elements to create a new meaning. In Indonesian, compounds can be formed by combining several elements, one of which may be a nominal lexeme referring to a body part. Compound words can be distinguished from other word combinations—particularly syntactic phrases—based on grammatical and semantic criteria. Semantically, compounds can be analyzed according to the degree of idiomaticity in their meanings. Water pollution in Yogyakarta has a long history dating back to the colonial era in 1926. Therefore, the main issue addressed in this writing is why water pollution occurred in Yogyakarta from 1926 to 1942. This research discusses the typology of violence in the short stories “Penguburan Kembali Sitaresmi”, “Jemari Nayla”, and “Leteh” by using Johan Galtung’s concept. The analysis also employs an intersectional approach to reveal the social categories that enable violence and to compare the violence across the three short stories. This research shows several findings. Firstly, in the first short story, direct violence (murder) and structural violence (marginalization) occur. In the second story, there is direct violence (sexual harassment) and structural violence (marginalization). In the third story, structural violence (stigmatization) is prevalent. The integration of psychological education in China's vocational and technical education (VTE) schools is increasingly recognized for its role in promoting students' personal and professional growth. This review synthesizes recent research to evaluate the integration of psychological education in VTE schools and its benefits, outcomes, and challenges. A psychological curriculum is found to enhance both students' personal and professional development. However, key findings also highlight the inconsistency in the implementation of psychological education among VTE schools and the insufficiency in updating the curriculum to address students' changes due to the transformation in technology and economy. Financial institutions worldwide face significant challenges in detecting and preventing illicit financial activities, such as money laundering and terrorism financing. Traditional rule-based methods often generate high false positive rates, increasing manual verification efforts and higher operational costs. This research explores machine learning techniques to enhance the detection of suspicious transactions. Several algorithms, including K-Nearest Neighbors, Decision Tree, Random Forest, Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machine, and Naïve Bayes, are applied and evaluated using a dataset from a financial institution. Workplace incivility, characterised by low-intensity, ambiguous behaviour such as disrespect, rudeness, and discourtesy, disrupts workplace harmony and erodes organisational culture. Although these behaviours may appear minor, their cumulative impact can significantly harm individuals and organisations, manifesting in decreased morale, productivity, and well-being. Personality traits play a crucial role in shaping how employees perceive, experience, and respond to workplace incivility, influencing its outcomes and associated costs. These practices can include creating community, designing interactive learning experiences, and recognizing the student as a whole person. But in an online classroom, relational pedagogies must be woven into the course design and the instructor must be intentional about their desire to connect with students. In this article, the authors will demonstrate how they applied the Five Good Things from Relational Cultural Theory to an asynchronous information literacy course in order to connect with students in an online learning environment.

This study investigates factors influencing urban Indian consumers’ electric motorcycle purchase intentions amid growing sustainable transportation demands. Building on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the research integrates core constructs—Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, and Attitude—with two contextual variables, including Consumer Awareness and Perceived Trust. A quantitative survey was distributed via Google Forms to 153 urban residents across Indian cities, with a GPower analysis confirming adequate statistical power for regression modeling. The findings reveal that Perceived Usefulness, Attitude, and Perceived Trust significantly influence consumers’ purchase intentions, with attitude emerging as the most influential predictor. When a flying wing comes within close proximity to the ground, a phenomenon called ground effect occurs where the lift is increased and the induced drag is decreased. This research seeks to determine the optimal dihedral distribution predicted by lifting-line theory that minimizes induced drag in ground effect. Despite some limitations, using lifting-line theory for this study allows for quick results across a large range of design variables, which would be infeasible for high-fidelity methods.
