This article presents an analysis of maintaining wellbore stability, preventing pack-off formation, stuck pipe incidents, and drilling fluid losses. A technology aimed at ensuring successful and high-quality trouble-free well drilling is analyzed and recommended. Based on data obtained from the Surkhandarya Basin fields, many wells were not drilled to the designed depth. Geophysical data from studied fields indicate that pore pressure retained in clay formations causes wellbore instability. These data also help to identify zones prone to collapse; however, the direct measurement of pore pressure in such formations remains impossible. The effective utilization of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind requires reliable and efficient energy storage systems due to their irregular and intermittent supply. This paper presents a novel hydro-accumulation system that significantly reduces energy consumption by integrating hydraulic ram pumps instead of traditional electrically powered pumps. The proposed system operates in cascade mode, where the kinetic energy of water is used multiple times through a sequence of hydraulic rams to pump water from a lower reservoir back to the upper one. Traditional gene expression deconvolution methods assess a limited number of cell types, therefore do not capture the full complexity of the tumor microenvironment (TME). Here, we integrate nine deconvolution tools to assess 79 TME cell types in 10,592 tumors across 33 different cancer types, creating the most comprehensive analysis of the TME. In total, we found 41 patterns of immune infiltration and stroma profiles, identifying heterogeneous yet unique TME portraits for each cancer and several new findings. Fingerspelling is a leading predictor of reading ability for deaf people who use a signed language, but few neuroimaging studies have examined how it supports reading. We used event-related potentials to investigate how fingerspelled words prime printed words. Twenty-four skilled deaf adult readers completed a Go/No-Go task while viewing printed English word targets following related and unrelated primes in one of three conditions: printed English words, American Sign Language (ASL) signs, and fingerspelled words. N400 priming effects were strong across all three conditions. Early N400 effects were similar for printed word primes and fingerspelled word primes, suggesting shared orthographic representations. …

The article presents an innovative approach to developing an intelligent control system for managing temperature and water level in smart home systems. The proposed method integrates an adaptive PID controller with fuzzy logic algorithms, enabling dynamic adjustment of the PID controller coefficients in real time. The mathematical model of the system incorporates heat balance equations, differential heat transfer relations, and nonlinear models of fluid loss. This paper examines the main technologies and mechanisms used in the curing process of multilayer thick-walled parts of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) made of polymer composite materials (PCM) based on epoxy resin. The study provides a detailed analysis of the technological features of the curing process, its kinetics, and the influence of heat transfer mechanisms on the final quality of molded components. It is emphasized that due to the low thermal conductivity of PCM, temperature inhomogeneity may occur during curing, leading to defects, internal stresses, and deterioration of the mechanical properties of the product. Introduction: The rubber dam has been a standard in endodontic practice for over 140 years, providing critical isolation to prevent microbial contamination during root canal therapy. At sufficiently high resolution, x-ray crystallography and cryogenic electron microscopy are capable of resolving small spherical map features corresponding to either water or ions. Correct classification of these sites provides crucial insight for understanding structure and function as well as guiding downstream design tasks, including structure-based drug discovery and de novo biomolecule design. Defective placentation is a recognized etiology for several gestational complications that include early pregnancy loss, preeclampsia, and intrauterine growth restriction. Sustained viability, migration, and invasion are essential cellular properties for embryonic extravillous trophoblasts to execute their roles in placental development and function, while derailment of these cellular processes is linked to placental disorders. Medication nonadherence among individuals with psychiatric disorders remains a significant barrier to recovery, ranging from 40% to 60%. Contributing factors include fear of side effects, stigma, cognitive limitations, and complex regimens. This staff education project addressed challenges through the implementation of a structured, evidence-based intervention to improve adherence-supportive practices among 14 outpatient psychiatric nurses. A preimplementation needs assessment revealed inconsistent application of adherence strategies and low staff confidence. By 2037, annual deaths in the United States are expected to exceed 3.6 million, over 1 million more than in 2015. At the same time, the funeral service industry faces a serious staffing problem, with about 50% of funeral directors leaving the profession within 2 years. These combined challenges highlight the need to understand what contributes to job satisfaction and helps to retain these workers in this essential field. This action research explores how AI-assisted feedback formats influence students’ academic writing and critical thinking, a gap particularly relevant in the digital learning landscape. This study involved 40 undergraduate Emirati students divided into two groups, receiving either AI-generated video or written feedback across three assignments. Using a quantitative design, data were gathered using standardized critical thinking and academic writing skills rubrics. Additionally, students completed post-surveys to capture their perceptions, engagement levels and use of AI tools in the learning process. The advent of connectivity-based methods, particularly those utilizing spontaneous BOLD signals, has significantly advanced brain mapping and deepened our understanding of the human brain's functional architecture. While prior research has explored functional organization in early childhood, most studies have focused on coarse, group-level distinctions aligned with adult literature, often within narrow age ranges. This dissertation extends these investigations by examining cortical functional organization in greater detail among healthy infants and toddlers aged 1 to 5 years. Antibiotic resistant bacteria are becoming increasingly difficult-to-treat resulting in increased morbidity and mortality, especially for common infections such as urinary tract infections (UTIs). Globally, UTIs afflict over 400 million people a year. Numerous different gram-negative and gram-positive bacterial species cause UTIs, including uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC), Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Acinetobacter baumannii. Purpose: Renal medullary carcinoma (RMC) is a rare but aggressive kidney cancer affecting young individuals with sickle hemoglobinopathies. Prior retrospective case-control and mouse modeling studies suggest a mechanism linking vigorous intensity physical activity to increased RMC risk in individuals with sickle hemoglobinopathies. This study aimed to prospectively investigate the association between vigorous intensity exercise and RMC.

Traditional gene expression deconvolution methods assess a limited number of cell types, therefore do not capture the full complexity of the tumor microenvironment (TME). Here, we integrate nine deconvolution tools to assess 79 TME cell types in 10,592 tumors across 33 different cancer types, creating the most comprehensive analysis of the TME. In total, we found 41 patterns of immune infiltration and stroma profiles, identifying heterogeneous yet unique TME portraits for each cancer and several new findings. Introduction: Patients with advanced cancer and their spousal caregivers who parent minor children report unmet parenting concerns and increased psychological distress. Seeking to address these important supportive care needs, this RCT examined the feasibility, acceptability, and initial evidence for the efficacy of a novel psychosocial intervention.

Patients and methods: Patients with a metastatic solid malignancy and their spouses completed self-reported validated assessments of psychological symptoms and cancer-related parenting outcomes and were then randomized to the parent support intervention or a usual care (UC) group. PURPOSE: Fewer than 20% of underserved individuals undergo guideline-concordant hereditary breast and ovarian cancer (HBOC) genetic testing (GT). Our study aimed to determine the proportion of women eligible for HBOC GT using a cancer genetics risk assessment (CGRA) tool at breast cancer (BC) screening clinics in underserved communities and to describe the program's impact.

METHODS: Participants were women who presented for BC screening at The Rose clinics, serving low-income underserved communities in southeast Texas, and completed the CGRA.
