The aim of this study is to explore how Division I college athletes made meaning of their experiences during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in spring 2020. Though existing literature details various athlete transitions, there is limited knowledge about how athletes navigate unprecedented disruptions like a global pandemic. This qualitative study employed semi-structured interviews to gather in-depth data. The study included a diverse sample of 19 college athletes, ranging from freshmen to seniors, representing various sports and academic levels. Findings revealed that athletes employed diverse strategies to maintain readiness and mental sharpness, reflecting both proactive and reactive coping mechanisms. …

This study investigates the efficacy of machine learning in forecasting and comparing health insurance premiums. The all-inclusive goal line is to improve the accuracy of premium pricing and minimize the manual labor associated with the traditional methods and present data trends in a logical manner. An open-source dataset of US medical premiums has been utilized and a systematic machine learning model in python programming language has been developed. This research aimed to comprehensively explore students’ perspectives on the integration of AI in educational settings, focusing on understanding its role, advantages, challenges, and expectations. The study analysed responses from a sixteen-question survey created through Google Forms administered online to 196 students from diverse academic backgrounds and educational levels enrolled across two Cork third-level institutions.

This meta-analysis reviewed interleukin 6 (IL-6) levels across various tumour stages, compared transdermal and oral estradiol levels on IL-6 and C-reactive protein (CRP), and examined the IL-6 and tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF-a) levels in healthy versus breast cancer patients. This analysis covers studies from 2003 to 2020.

Results: IL-6 can be used as a prognostic biomarker for breast cancer, as levels are seen to increase as the cancer stage advances. BreastCheck invites women aged fifty to sixty-nine to have screening mammograms once every two years to detect any densities in their breast mammogram which could indicate breast cancer. If densities are seen on a mammogram a breast core is sampled and sent to a histopathology laboratory where a part of the tissue is examined by a consultant pathologist using a microscope. Problem: Bullied youth are two and a half times more likely to experience depression and three times more likely to experience anxiety and suicidal ideation than their peers (Li et al., 2024). Schools represent a key access point for mental health support and treatment for youth (Duong et al., 2020). Seasonal snow and ice melt strongly influence glacier mass balance, yet sparse sub-annual observations limit our understanding of seasonal dynamics. Here we construct and analyze weekly snow cover time series for 200 glaciers across western North America from 2013 to 2023 using an automated image processing pipeline. Snow cover varied widely across the region: snow minima timing varied with latitude — from August from 62 to 64N to October from 48 to 50N—and accumulation area ratios ranged from near-zero to 0.92 (median of 0.52). are often overlooked as a target population. Every year in the U.S., oncogenic human

papillomavirus (HPV) infection causes approximately 330,000 cases of precancerous cervical

dysplasia and 12,000 cases of cervical cancer, the most common female cancer attributable to

HPV (Wang et al., 2024). Many providers miss the opportunity to offer the vaccine during the

Pancreatic cancer is an aggressive malignancy, characterized by extensive desmoplasia and a hypoxic tumor microenvironment that contributes to therapy resistance. MYB, a proto-oncogene encoding a transcription factor, plays a crucial role in pancreatic tumor growth and metastasis. Recently, we also revealed a role of MYB in hypoxic survival of pancreatic cancer cells by promoting metabolic reprogramming through interaction with HIF1α, modulating its expression and binding to glycolytic gene promoters. Ruthenians overwhelmingly came to Michigan between 1900 and 1914 as citizens of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, where their ethnic (national) status was officially recognized and protected (at least formally). Their distinct identity was built around their Rusyn language, Ruthenian Rite Catholicism, connection to a cultural territorial homeland along the Carpathians (Ruthenia), and an overwhelmingly peasant-based village life generally led by sacerdotal families. However, the lack of a single administrative focus within the Monarchy’s multi-ethnicity meant that Ruthenians always showed a high degree of regional variation.
