The use of reflective waveguides in augmented reality (AR) displays can reduce see-through transmission, such that a person facing the user can perceive an uneven brightness of the user’s face near the eye region. Uneven face brightness can cause some social and cosmetic discomfort. This disclosure describes a family of graded thin-film coats for reflective waveguides with multiple SKUs, each tailored to serve users of specific skin tone, color, and/or texture. A context-aware content recommendation process for an application running on a computing device (e.g., a smart television, a mobile computing device) may provide context-aware content recommendations to a user on the go (e.g., during travel). The context-aware recommendation process may determine that a user on the go may have different content consumption patterns and computing device access. Objective: This study evaluates the effectiveness of daily probiotic supplementation as an adjunct to standard therapy in patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), focusing on symptom frequency, intensity, and potential for achieving or maintaining remission.

Methods: A structured literature review was conducted using Medline via EBSCO, PubMed, and Google Scholar. Search terms included “Inflammatory Bowel Disease,” “IBD,” “Crohn’s disease,” “ulcerative colitis,” “probiotics,” and related terms. From 1,616 Medline results, 12 relevant articles were selected; PubMed yielded 30 focused on randomized controlled trials and meta-analyses, and a representative sample was reviewed from 17,500 Google Scholar results. Practice problem: The increase in preventable chronic diseases is associated with food illiteracy, which arises from a lack of understanding of nutritional value and dietary guidelines (Silva et al., 2023).

PICOT: (P) In adult primary care patients aged 30-75 years, (I) does the implementation of evidence-based food literacy program (C) compared to standard practice (O) improve food literacy (T) in eight weeks?

Evidence: Using a validated food literacy questionnaire effectively measures improvements in food literacy. Anatomical (scape, pedicel, leaf lamina, and leaf midrib) and pollen morphological features of 11 taxa belonging to the genus Primula subgen. Primula (P. vulgaris subsp. vulgaris, P. vulgaris subsp. rubra, and P.megaseifolia, P. meyeri,P. elatior subsp. pallasii, P. pseudoelatior, P. veris subsp. columnae, P. veris subsp. macrocalyx) and subgen. Aleurita (P. longipes, P. algida and P. auriculata) were examined using light and scanning electron microscopy to shed light on the existing taxonomic and phylogenetic relationships.
