Handwritten opinion. A landlord brought a lease expiration holdover proceeding against a tenant. The court granted the tenant's motion for summary judgment and dismissed the case because the landlord failed to comply with the requirements of the Good Cause Eviction Law (GECL). The landlord's cross-motion to serve a Notice of Applicability was denied as moot. The court found that the landlord's non-compliance with GECL was a fatal defect, requiring dismissal of the proceeding. This case illustrates the importance of a landlord's strict adherence to GECL notice requirements in lease expiration holdover proceedings.

The Ingalls Ophiolite Complex is an ophiolite of Jurassic age in central WA, USA. Much of the complex formed in a supra-subduction zone setting in a back-arc ocean basin during subduction of the Farallon plate beginning 192 Ma. Between formation and obduction, mafic and ultramafic lithologies experienced alteration in the presence of water, which previous studies inferred to be seawater. Previously published δ¹⁸O and δD data from the Ingalls indicates isotopic depletion possibly caused by interaction with meteoric water at current latitude (~47.5 °N). As India and Pakistan emerged as two new nation-states after 1947, questions around nationality and citizenship animated official and public discourses. While there were constitutional and legal pronouncements to clarify these matters, this article suggests that particular documents governing mobility became central to how such issues were framed and understood. In particular, this article focuses on the Indian passport and similar documents of mobility control, such as the domicile certificate, permits, and so on, to examine how they worked singly and in conjunction to frame the documentary life of belonging. Several studies have reported the link between diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and obesity as risk factors for the onset of chronic kidney disease (CKD), ultimately leading to renal replacement therapies such as dialysis and kidney transplantation. Although extensively researched in adults aged 55 years and older, CKD remains under-researched for young adults. Despite its emergence as a healthcare concern, limited data exists on risk factors impacting young adults without major comorbidities.

Western water supplies are increasingly stressed by the compounding impacts of population growth, urbanization, and climate change. Rising temperatures in Idaho are shifting precipitation patterns, with more falling as rain rather than snow. This reduces snowpack and the resulting snowmelt, which serves as the predominant water source for agriculture. At the same time, urbanization of agricultural land decreases surface permeability, replaces irrigated fields, and amplifies the impacts of climate change. Greening is seen more in arctic and alpine environments than elsewhere, and current literature states that new growth consists of low-lying tundra plants, as well as encroaching shrub communities into previously uninhabited rocky slopes. The purpose of reverse mathematics, a field of mathematical logic, is to determine which axioms are required to prove particular mathematical theorems. Gödel's first incompleteness theorem states that within any standard consistent formal system of mathematics, there are statements for which neither themselves nor their negations can be proven. Thus, the goal of reverse mathematics cannot be the discovery of some formal system which underlies all mathematics, which was that of Hilbert's program. Decorum requires legislators to self-limit their free speech rights as citizens; things that may be said and done in the public square would violate legislative decorum rules. In 2023, two legislatures made headlines by using decorum rules to silence young legislators with minority views. In Tennessee, the House expelled two representatives after they walked into the House well and led protestors in the galleries in several chants demanding the House take up gun control legislation. Regulating Algorithmic Accountability In Financial Advising: Rethinking The Sec’S Ai Proposal, Chen Wang

As artificial intelligence increasingly reshapes financial advising, the SEC has proposed new rules requiring brokerdealers and investment advisers to eliminate or neutralize conflicts of interest arising from AI use. This Article critically assesses the proposal’s scope, rationale, and feasibility, contending that its sweeping definitions and prescriptive mandates risk overregulation and conflict with the SEC’s longstanding disclosure-based regulatory approach. Drawing on case law, fiduciary duties, Regulation Best Interest, and existing antifraud provisions, this Article argues that the current legal framework, grounded in disclosure and informed consent, remains sufficient to manage AI related conflicts. Service learning (SL) is at a pivotal moment as education systems worldwide confront the challenges and opportunities posed by artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies. This scoping review synthesizes regional perspectives on SL and examines the barriers to its implementation in higher education. This study adopts a methodological approach widely used in prior educational research, enriched with selected PRISMA processes, namely identification, screening, and eligibility, to enhance its transparency and rigor. A total of 101 peer-reviewed articles were analyzed, using a mixed methods approach. Ghana’s Amateur Boxing Team, known as the Black Bombers, has impacted the country’s political and socio-economic development since its formation in 1958. This thesis argues that amateur boxing was one of the sports that Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first president, used to promote nation-building and, more broadly, a Pan-African agenda. The team’s success in international competitions has widely projected Ghana's sporting reputation and reinforced the Pan-African principles of Black pride and excellence in the global athletics arena, and beyond. Concussions and traumatic brain injury (TBI) remains a significant public health concern, especially in American football, where repeated head impacts pose long-term risks to athlete health. While current helmet testing standards rely heavily on the Hybrid III surrogate headform to evaluate protective performance, these surrogate models lack anatomical accuracy and exclude the presence of a brain component, limiting their ability to capture the true mechanics of concussion. To address this limitation, this research developed and validated a novel inverted impact testing method that allows the impact testing of a Hybrid III headform and a cadaveric specimen.
