Electricity fraud detection presents a significant challenge for power distribution companies, as non-technical losses resulting from fraudulent activities adversely affect revenue and operational efficiency. This study presents a machine learning-driven approach for accurately identifying fraudulent electricity consumption patterns. A comprehensive analysis of electricity usage data is conducted using multiple classification models, including Support Vector Machine (SVM), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), a Stacking Model integrating SVM, KNN, Random Forest, and Gradient Boosting, as well as a Weighted Model leveraging confidence-based prediction adjustments. This study explores the application of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) in predicting the factor of safety (FoS) of slopes using dimensionless input variables. An initial dataset of 349 samples was refined to 259 validated cases after removing outliers and incomplete entries. OBJECTIVES: We explored the lived experiences of active-duty servicewomen (ADSW) accessing and receiving care during the perinatal period (from discovery of pregnancy to 1 year postpartum) within the Military Health System.

STUDY DESIGN: Using qualitative methods, we conducted semi-structured interviews between September 2022 and February 2023 with 23 ADSW participants who were pregnant or within their first year postpartum. Data were analyzed using inductive coding and thematic analysis techniques.

RESULTS: Participants reported bureaucratic hurdles and long wait times for accessing care, too little choice in providers, and inadequate coordination between civilian and military care providers. Those who experienced perinatal complications …

This capstone project addressed the critical need for a culturally responsive approach to occupational therapy in the treatment of African-American and Hispanic with eating disorders (EDs) in the United States. Although EDs impair physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning, these communities often encounter systemic barriers such as cultural stigma, food insecurity, and inadequate assessment tools rooted in Eurocentric norms—that contribute to underdiagnosis, limited access to care, and poorer outcomes. This article presents an investigation of the state of peer review for Open Educational Resource (OER) Textbooks, which denotes the variability of peer review practices across OER platforms. The environ-mental scan highlights the critical finding that the perception of quality between OER textbooks and commercially published or traditional textbooks is often linked to the presence or absence of a formal, pre-publication peer review process. Findings emphasized a strong preference on behalf of adopters and potential authors of OER textbooks to have a standardized process or guidance for pursuing pre-publication peer review. Among these, nanofluids—colloidal suspensions of nanoparticles in base fluids—have shown promise in boosting heat transfer performance. This review provides a structured and critical evaluation of nanofluid applications in HVAC&R systems, synthesizing research published from 2015 to 2025. Healthcare supply chain disruptions threaten the quality of patient care, and can increase costs, particularly in systems reliant on global suppliers. This study examined the risk management practices of healthcare supply chain professionals in Saudi Arabia. A cross-sectional survey of 72 professionals from hospitals, regulatory agencies, and other healthcare organizations revealed that 72.2% experienced supply shortages in the past year, most often involving general medical supplies, specialty medicines, and essential medicines. The most frequently reported risks were supplier shortages, reliance on single-source suppliers, and logistics disruptions, while cybersecurity threats were rarely cited. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains a major global health challenge, with rising incidence, high mortality, and a five-year survival rate below 20%. Approximately 90% of HCC cases arise in cirrhosis, a stromal disease characterized by excessive deposition and remodeling of collagenous extracellular matrix (ECM). As HCC progresses, alterations in ECM composition and spatial distribution influence disease progression, emphasizing the potential of the ECM as a biomarker for HCC prognosis and treatment response. Traditional robotic navigation pipelines typically follow a three stage architecture: obstacle detection, path planning, and low-level control for trajectory tracking. While effective in static environments, these methods often introduce latency and lack formal guarantees of safety in dynamic or unplanned for scenarios. Our work addresses these limitations by developing a real-time controller grounded in Control Barrier Functions (CBFs) and Control Lyapunov Functions (CLFs), unified through a Quadratic Program (QP). Coastal communities often address shoreline erosion through beach nourishment, adding externally sourced sand to widen beaches for recreation and property protection. While nourishment enhances beachfront property values, the need for periodic maintenance creates interdependencies where the actions of neighboring communities affect local shoreline dynamics. Using a coupled model of two neighboring communities, we examine the interplay between community nourishment decisions and the redistribution of nourishment sand. We find that the value a community places on wider beaches not only influences their propensity to nourish, but also their and their neighbors' nourishment efficiency and net benefits. Background

Chagas disease is a chronic, insidious parasitic infection (Trypanosoma cruzi) that slowly develops to irreversible organomegaly over several decades. The disease is traditionally acquired in endemic Latin American countries during childhood; < 1% of foreign-born adult residents in the United States have been diagnosed or treated with this potentially fatal disease. Low physician knowledge is a primary factor leading to misdiagnosis.

Methods

Starting in April 2022, a 4-part T cruzi clinical education intervention began, which included (i) 2 grand rounds presentations to >100 internal medicine providers; (ii) implementation of a “clinical Chagas champions program” incorporating 14 key clinical staff at varying departments and administrative levels educated on their specific role related to T cruzi screening, diagnosis confirmation, clinical management, and medical billing; ( …
