Stroke is a leading cause of adult disability worldwide, with approximately 101 million survivors globally. Over 60% of these individuals live with from long-term, often lifelong, movement impairments that significantly hinder their ability to perform essential daily activities and maintain independence. Post-stroke movement disabilities are highly associated with structural and functional changes in motor descending pathways, particularly the corticospinal tract and other indirect motor pathways via the brainstem. Minimally invasive image-guided tumor ablation techniques have been established as safe, effective methods to treat a variety of unresectable soft tissue tumors. Standard thermal ablation methods include radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation, and cryoablation. However, newer non-thermal and/or non-invasive ablation techniques are now available as alternative options to treat soft tissue tumors, particularly those that are near critical structures or otherwise susceptible to thermal energy sink effects. Ports and maritime operations generate massive real-time data streams, particularly from Automatic Identification System (AIS) signals, which are challenging to query effectively using natural language. This study proposes a prototype AISStream-MCP, a memory-augmented real-time maritime question-answering (QA) system that integrates live AIS data streaming with a Model Context Protocol (MCP) toolchain to support port operations decision-making. The system combines a large language model (LLM) with four MCP-enabled modules: persistent dialogue memory, live AIS data query, knowledge graph lookup, and result evaluation. Objectives: A significantly dilated coronary sinus causing left ventricular inflow obstruction presents a challenging dilemma during surgical repair of associated anomalies. We report a 5-month-old male infant was referred to a national heart centre in Muscat, Oman, in 2023 with a persistent left superior caval vein, dilated coronary sinus, partially anomalous pulmonary venous drainage and a large atrial septal defect, resulting in left ventricular inflow obstruction and low cardiac output. The dilated coronary sinus intensified a left-to-right shunt, leading to left ventricular underfilling and early heart failure symptoms. Neurotransmitter signaling pathways play major roles in both molecular and behavioral defenses against pathogen invasion, shaping the ability of Caenorhabditis elegans to sense and respond to environmental challenges. Given the conservation of neurotransmitter signaling pathways, their understanding may not only provide insights into the neurobiology of C. elegans but also has broader implications for our understanding of neural-immune interactions and host defense mechanisms in higher organisms. In this review, we discussed the literature on various neurotransmitter signaling pathways, including serotonergic, dopaminergic/octopaminergic, GABAergic, and glutamatergic pathways, and how these pathways modulate molecular and behavioral immune defense against pathogens.

This dataset contains observations from three Idaho meteorological stations used as part of a US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Lab (CRREL) snow strength project. The purpose of these data is to measure the meteorological variables that impact the trafficability and supportability of a seasonal snowpack and will be used as forcing data to model snow strength across time and space. Measured data include snow depth, snow water equivalent (SWE), air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, snow temperature, soil temperature, and radiation.

BACKGROUND: Web-based patient portals can benefit adolescents and their caregivers by increasing access and providing greater understanding of one's health information, enhancing communication with clinicians, and supporting caregiver influence. Despite these benefits, adolescent uptake has been low with high attrition rates. Feedback from adolescents and caregivers is essential to improve the uptake and usability of the web-based patient portal.

Veterinary anatomy education faces several challenges, including increasing student enrollment, regulatory restrictions on animal use, and limitations of traditional preservation methods. Formalin preservation poses health risks, while plastination is costly and lacks flexibility. The conventional and modified Elnady Techniques present a safer and more cost-effective alternative, offering soft and flexible specimens; however, the adverse features still appear, and some steps require expensive equipment. In the 21st‐century digital era, education faces challenges in integrating innovative technologies with relevant curricula, particularly in elementary‐level cultural diversity learning that still relies on traditional methods and lacks engaging media. This study analyzes the effectiveness of integrating Project‐Based Learning (PjBL) with TikTok videos to enhance primary students’ understanding of cultural diversity through a comprehensive systematic literature review. Keyword searches in Google Scholar, Scopus, the Indonesian Publication Index, and university journal portals yielded 48 articles, of which 25 met inclusion criteria—15 quasi‐experimental studies, 6 descriptive studies, and 4 meta‐analyses (14 national, 11 international). High-incline walking is a popular mode of exercise and often serves as an alternative to level-grade running for improving cardiovascular fitness. This study examined the muscle activation and biomechanical differences between high-incline walking (HIW) at a 20% grade and level-grade jogging (LGJ) at matched exercise intensities. Nineteen physically inactive adults (18-31 years) participated. Participants completed two isocaloric exercise trials (HIW and LGJ), each lasting ten minutes. The purpose of this study was to quantify emotional responses, including trust and blame, of people with diabetes, when exposed to problem words.
People with diabetes experience words that are judgmental and based on blame.¹ Language guidance papers have been developed in multiple countries, because negative messages can be harmful to people with diabetes.² A recent integrative review synthesized studies on communication and diabetes outcomes and concluded that negative messages can lead to diabetes distress, decreased health behaviors, and poor health outcomes.
