Dual academic–clinical faculty experience compounded demands that heighten burnout risk and reduce job satisfaction. Despite recognition of these challenges, limited instruments specifically examine wellbeing in this group. This pilot study evaluated the feasibility and initial psychometric properties of the Graduate Nursing Faculty Work and Wellbeing Survey (GNFWWS), designed to assess burnout, job satisfaction, and perceived institutional support among graduate nursing faculty with concurrent academic and clinical practice roles. Effects Of Aromatherapy On Nurses’ Occupational Well-Being: A Systematic Review And Meta-Analysis, Ari Woo, Kyungsook Kim

Purpose: This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the effects of inhaled aromatherapy on nurses' occupational well-being (stress, sleep quality, fatigue, and anxiety) to provide integrated evidence for nonpharmacologic management strategies.

Methods: Following PRISMA and the Cochrane Handbook, randomized and nonrandomized controlled trials were identified using PICOSD criteria. Independent reviewers screened, extracted, and synthesized data. Risk of bias was assessed with RoB 2.0 and ROBINS-I. Fourteen studies met inclusion criteria.

Results: Across 14 studies, inhaled aromatherapy was associated with improvements in nurses' outcomes. Stress decreased versus controls (SMD = -0.70; 95% CI -1.12 to -0.28; I2 = 65%). Sleep quality improved …

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides infant formula to low-income households through state-level exclusive supply contracts that cover roughly half of U.S. infants. Although these contracts directly govern purchases by WIC participants, they also affect households that receive no WIC benefits. We study these spillovers using household-level in-store and online transaction data matched to WIC contract changes across states from 2018 to 2025. When a manufacturer becomes the WIC supplier, its market share among non-WIC households rises by roughly 30 percentage points in the regular-size formula segment. Wind-blown sand and other instances of solid particles mobilized and suspended in gaseous turbulent boundary layers (TBLs) are seen in a wide variety of engineering contexts. An experimental framework was developed to study the incipient particle motion driven by external forcing within a turbulent boundary layer, which is provided by an airfoil section oscillating in the free-steam flow, resulting in a periodic disturbance in the near-wall region through production of synthetic large-scale structures at a fixed frequency. Purpose: This narrative review explored the literature on academic–practice partnerships in community settings within prelicensure nursing education. Methods: A search of three databases—MEDLINE, CINAHL, and Scopus—led to the review of 12 articles exploring academic–practice partnerships in community settings within prelicensure nursing education. Results: Emergent themes encompassed components for planning, implementing, and evaluating academic–practice partnerships. Planning themes included completing community assessments, considering financial resources, and identifying guiding frameworks or models. Implementation themes included diverse nursing education and community partners and settings, academic–practice partnership initiatives, and integration of partnerships in prelicensure nursing education curricula. Prenatal maternal depression may have intergenerational effects on offspring brain development, with potential socioemotional consequences. In an observational follow-up of a randomized clinical trial of a prenatal depression intervention (the CARE Project; ClinicalTrials.gov NCT03011801), brain development and subsequent negative emotionality were examined among 109 infants born to mothers randomized during pregnancy to brief interpersonal psychotherapy or enhanced usual care. These data include MRI-derived hippocampal and amygdala volumes at approximately 6 weeks of age and a laboratory-based assessment of infant negative emotionality at 6 months.

Generative artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming higher education, yet comparative evidence from diverse international settings remains limited. This cross-national study examined undergraduate students’ adoption and perceived academic impact of generative AI tools at institutions in Indonesia, Tajikistan, and the United States. A harmonized online survey was administered to 584 undergraduates during Spring 2026 (Indonesia n = 235; Tajikistan n = 226; United States n = 123). The survey assessed AI familiarity, adoption patterns, frequency and purpose of use, perceived academic impact, and factors encouraging AI engagement. One of the social phenomena, including the city of Qurna, is the phenomena of begging, which were distributed among the city’s neighboods and concentrated in the cities commercial, The study showed that number of male beggars incteasd by55% compared to females.The study also found different social effects, with high rates of domestic violence and social disintegration, in addition to the spread of bullying among them.The study also showed the causes of begging foremost among whoch was unemployment, poverty and various other causes.Finally, I give some suggestions to limit the spread of the phenomenon and to develop solutions for it.

This study examines energy consumption in cultural heritage imaging systems and workflows, addressing a gap in sustainability research that has to date focused primarily on data storage infrastructure estimations. Using Home Assistant edge computing and Z-Wave smart plugs, seven distinct imaging systems were monitored over 203 hours, capturing 55,211 images, and rendering 2,448 objects. Results show an average energy requirement of 11.1 Wh per object, with an annual total of 747 kWh for digitization activities. Findings highlight opportunities to reduce energy demand and improve efficiency, such as automating continuous light shutoff and optimizing postprocessing routines that support institutional sustainability goals …

Family homelessness is a widespread crisis that disrupts the educational experiences of thousands of children, including South Carolina where rates of family homelessness continue to grow. Although research has explored families and homelessness, limited research has focused on the parental engagement of homeless parents. This study explored the parental engagement among homeless parents in South Carolina.

Guided by van Manen’s (1990) interpretive phenomenology, four parents residing in a South Carolina homeless shelter participated in semi-structured interviews and created self portraits, which were analyzed using the hermeneutic circle to derive phenomenological insight.

Carbon-rich Black Soils are an important natural resource ensuring China’s food security, and their soil carbon stocks are closely related to grain production capacity. Based on nearly two decades of regional survey data and long-term field experiments, this study systematically investigated the dynamics of soil organic matter (SOM), its response relationship with crop productivity, and strategies for soil fertility improvement. The results showed that soil carbon stocks in the topsoil (0–20 cm) of the Black Soil region in Northeast China have declined by approximately 60%. IMPORTANCE: Burnout is highly prevalent among emergency medicine (EM) residents and is associated with negative outcomes for physician well-being and patient care. Emerging evidence suggests sexual minority trainees may be at increased risk, but differences within EM residency are not well characterized.

OBJECTIVE: To determine if burnout prevalence among EM residents differs by sexual orientation after adjustment for key confounders.

DESIGN, SETTING, AND PARTICIPANTS: This cross-sectional study included US resident physicians who took the 2024 American Board of Emergency Medicine In-Training Exam (ITE) postexamination survey and answered the question on sexual orientation.
