Contextualizing Second Language Anxiety In Multilingual Higher Education: Classroom Conditions And Clinical Settings, Busayo O. Ige

International Journal of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education

In South African universities, multilingual students whose first language is not English face distinct challenges that impact academic participation and success. This qualitative study examines how second language (L2) anxiety shapes first-year students’ classroom and clinical experiences at the University of Cape Town. Drawing on open-ended survey data, the study reveals that fear of negative evaluation, communicative apprehension, and prevailing language ideologies contribute to students’ reluctance to speak, feelings of invisibility, and withdrawal from engagement. Although anxiety tends to lessen over time, it rarely disappears completely. Notably, students experienced anxiety differently across settings: classroom discussions elicited greater fear and self-censorship, …

This study examines undergraduate students’ career decision-making self-efficacy and related performance indicators within course-integrated career readiness assignments at a Hispanic- and minority-serving institution. With the wide adoption of the Next Generation Science Standards across the United States and an increased focus on growing a diverse engineering workforce, learning to teach precollege engineering has become more important than ever. Yet limited precollege engineering certification pathway exists, leaving preK–12 teachers to integrate engineering with few resources or professional learning support. In high-need districts, where teachers are already underresourced and stretched thin, engineering may not make its way into the classroom at all. Autonomous AI agents, including large language model (LLM) agents, increasingly originate payment authorization requests under stored, cryptographically signed mandates derived from natural-language instructions. Existing frameworks verify machine-enforceable constraints — amount, payee, merchant — at transaction time; existing art separately teaches similarity-based transaction screening, single-use transaction-linked authorization credentials, decoupled out-of-band authentication, versioned credential supersession with freshness proofs, and attested display of transaction details. A challenge in deploying generative models can be the occurrence of factual inaccuracies, particularly when attempting to maintain consistent reliability across diverse information categories. A disclosed technology describes a multi-agent pipeline that can quantify and calibrate the factual reliability of generated content. The system may operate as a black-box process where specialized agents can parse source material, generate categorized claims, and score their correctness. FDMS‑2.0 is an open‑hardware, FPGA+ARM‑based environmental observatory capable of simultaneously measuring eight physics domains:

This opinion piece argues that Alternative Provision (AP) in England is failing to meet the needs of vulnerable young people due to inconsistent staffing, inadequate specialist training, and the normalisation of low educational expectations. Although some AP settings demonstrate high aspirations and committed practice, the sector as a whole remains marked by variability and a lack of coherent pedagogical structure. This study examined the influence of Mobile Financial Inclusion (MFI) on the Performance of SACCOs business (PSB) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Through the Resource-Based View (RBV), the study assessed how the ability to save money (SM), transfer money (TM), and access to financial information Access (FIA) shape PSB as guided by the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). The data were collected from 226 SACCOs using mail survey self-administered questionnaires, and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in Smart-PLS. This paper examined the best practices for incorporating culturally responsive teaching into the elementary music classroom to promote equity, inclusion, and cultural representation. As classrooms become more diverse, educators must adapt their curriculum and instructional practices to ensure all of their students' needs are met. Unlike regular classroom elementary school teachers, who work with a small group of students for the entire school year, elementary music teachers work with every student in the building.
